Personally I don’t think the SC will strike down student loan forgiveness. In a legal perspective, if they were to strike it down, then this will redefine standing. That means more lawsuits with weak standing will clutter up the court system. Parties who are indirectly hurt will have standing to bring suit. It would be a grand clusterf*ck.
Don't worry if you made payments that dropped your balance below the amount of debt relief you might receive - you'll get the amount refunded to you! "If you made voluntary payments during the payment pause and your current loan balance is below the amount of debt relief you’ll receive, after you successfully apply for and receive debt relief under the Administration's debt relief plan, we’ll automatically refund the amount you paid during the payment pause (only up to the remaining amount of your eligible debt relief)."
