    You are obviously so accomplished, apparently you are fluent in Russian, German, and English! You may not realize how potent that combination will be in our global economy and how attractive it would be to a future employer. I believe you will make a big impact in whatever area you choose for your career path.

    You forgot the most important reason. Degrees awarded by US universities are considered "legit" around the world. Doesn't matter if it's State or Private. A degree from an American university ets you resume sent to the top of the pile.

    Dear Marina, thank you so much for your recommendations about TOEFL! I've watched your videos a few times and I was able to get really high scores! May I ask you a question? I remember, you were talking about how you were admitted to the university and even proposed a scholarship. My question is... in order to get a scholarship, do I have to apply to universities first, and then if I am admitted, ask them about scholarships? Or, I have to look for the scholarships first, and only when I am sure I'd get it, I'll have to apply to the universities? Thank you so much!

    I like your videos but I think you made some naive comments about academia in the U.S. Becoming a Professor in a US University is extremely difficult. A PhD in a top University is required and the job market candidates are expected to have several publications and innovative theories/experiments published in high impact journals. And even the ones who get a tenure track position, they need to gain tenure, which entails five additional years of crazy work hours, numerous publications in journals (and in some areas publishing a book) on top of teaching, presenting in conferences etc... It is a very demanding field, especially in areas such as Physics and Engineering.

      @Frank Atavar she speaks Incredible English, but she sounds foreign - and this is coming from a native speaker. She actually sounds almost Scandanavian (Swedish, Finnish) German or Dutch - the reason for this is because she speaks so fluently and clearly and her accent is Americanised however you can hear that she isn't American by the way she pronounces some words, which is what speakers from Germany or the Netherlands sound like

      Hi Ravi! Before you decide to study abroad in the USA, you should start by evaluating your academic profile, finances, and future career goals. Studying in the USA can become costly depending on the university's tuition and scholarships you received. Remember to search and apply to school and private organization academic scholarships available to international students. Here is a video that I made about "how to study in the USA?" as it might help you with your study abroad planning: th-cam.com/video/o9EuHUoV500/w-d-xo.html. I will be posting more videos about studying in the USA, and contact me if you have any questions! 😊

    Before anyone talks about how Japan is the best look up and read about William Edwards Deming (October 14, 1900 - December 20, 1993) He is the main reason the Japanese became sucessful in manufacturing. Had it not been for him Japan would still be living the way they had been living pre war. It was an American who changed Japanese industry for the better.

    • @kathatesthis1422
      @kathatesthis1422 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      saqib aftab hey I'm from America so I can try to give you an insight on colleges since I'm applying for one here too. I don't know how the SAT scoring system works since in my state we take the ACT which is the same concept just a different test. But it truly comes down to how high your score on the SAT is, your current school grades, and what you have done that is above and beyond the average student whether it be sports or being part of the debate team or band and such. Having several community service hours also helps and having excellent recommendations depending on what school you want to apply for. Obviously if you want to go to Harvard per say then you're going to have to have basically flawless scoring, and if it's a private or public university also makes a difference.

      Hi Sahil! After completing high school and receiving your diploma, you can start your study abroad journey by planning. I made a video about "how to study in the USA" and here is the link: th-cam.com/video/o9EuHUoV500/w-d-xo.html. I studied abroad in three countries including the USA and learned to speak English as my 4th language. I graduated from a U.S. middle school, high school, and university. I decided to start a TH-cam channel to share my insight about how to study in the USA. I will be posting more videos, and contact me if you have any questions! 😊

    This is very subjective... American universities are, probably, the best out there in a way, we all know that but what about the tuition fees? They're extremely expensive.If you aren't studying in one of the top 50-75 American universities then you are paying too much for your education. For example, German universities are really good too and they are cheap or without any tuition fee at all. I understand when you say that America is the center of the world but that doesn't mean that you have to study there, you can study elsewhere and then go to America and apply all the knowledge you have learned like many others.

      It's harder to find a work visa or an employer who'd sponsor you when you're not "in the states" than getting a student visa first, go to the states, study and then make connections there to find an employer who'd be ready to sponsor you for a work visa :)

      Each university is different with different programs. Do you know what you want to study?(engineering, medicine, tech, business) Schools like Colorado State University have great programs to help international students. I do not know what their financial aid is like for those type of students. Do you know what you want to do in the USA? (travel, ski, outdoors, city, culture, etc...)

      A lot of students pick schools in locations that are near thing they want to see or do(not just School). Many people underestimate the size of the United States. The location of the school can save you money on doing activities outside of school. Do some research on what you want.

    If your a fan of Tech there's only 3 places to go to school..MIT, Cal Tech, and Stanford. Harvard, Yale, and Princeton are only places to attend if your're only gonna do 2 of the following, either inherent your daddy's company or do absolutely nothing and just brag to people that you went to those places.

    what are the benefits of a US citizen compared to immigrants or international students shall we say?

    • @hexapuma12
      @hexapuma12 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mika Sihite it depends on where the school is and the State’s laws. For example, I grew up in NJ as such if I went to college in NJ I would pay what we call “instate tuition” but people who aren’t from NJ would have to pay more because they are from a different state. I’ve also seen where we would be eligible for different scholarships.
