Thank you Mr. Garcia for breaking this down and explaining it so clearly. I was considering a $500+ course at my local community college but this Coursera/Intuit track actually sounds better and cheaper! I'm subscribing to your channel. Let's hear it for TH-cam and the fantastic resources available here.
Fantastic!
Thank you so very much! Very concise and thorough in outlining the details step by step. Exactly the information I was seeking.
Awesome

Right on time!! I just started the course in Coursera. Thank you for the information.
Hi are you from India. Are u living in US. Is it possible to get all this certification from India
Mr. Garcia, You are the best!!! I am in the transition from a teacher assistant to a bookkeeper. I get an accounting background from my country..This is a real motivation to come back
That’s awesome
This is a great resource for looking at the top options available to gain more bookkeeping knowledge and certification. Thank you so much!
great
Thank you so much! This was thorough, straight forward, and very informative.
Thanks
Wonderful coaching. Thank you very much.
Hector, I actually took and received my certificate for Coursera. I then scheduled and took the Intuit Professional test. The two options were desktop and QBO. I took the online test (mistake), but all my experience was on desktop platforms. The test was almost exclusively about setups, roles, etc. There were almost no actual bookkeeping questions. Needless to say, I was like a deer in the headlights. I ended up with a 670 (fail) out of the 700 required to pass. I was actually pleased that for a platform I had NO previous knowledge of, I scored just under a passing grade. I had paid for a retest and got the new voucher number for the retest. I will be retaking the QBO, but not until I have watched every one of your videos! Thank you for putting them on here!
Good luck
Hi Doc. I finished my Intuit course with Coursera as well and signed into Pearson Vue. There were two options. 1.) INT-100: Intuit QuickBooks Online Certified User
and 2.) INT-200: Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional. Just out of curiosity, which exam did you actually take? I'm assuming it was number one since you spoke about the test being exclusively about setups and roles. I want to make sure that I spend the money on the right one. I appreciate any help.🙂
Thank you so much Hector for the valuable information and tips!
My pleasure!
Thank you very much for your invaluable information. You went right to the point. Good videos as always.

Thanks, Hector! I've been weighing my options and was unaware Intuit had a course and certificate. I'm already a QBO ProAdvisor so this makes the decision easy for me.
Agreed.
May I ask how exactly do you use the QBO ProAdvisor? Do you use it for your business, or a job? Do you offer it as a service? Just want to know what direction I want to take. TIA
Such a good teacher. Love it!
Thanks, glad you like it.
This is what I needed to know. Thanks!
I signed three weeks ago on Coursera. So excited 😆 and so exhausted. Taking Business Administration hybrid classes as well. Looking forward to finish by the end of the year and hopefully I can start working as a bookkeeper next year 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Hector God blessed you!!
We can do all we want if we put some effort and let God do the rest😀
Great Advise!! Blessing to you and your endeavors !!

Best of luck.
Thank you for this information, this is going to be a great help for me.
Awesome
I've started yesterday with the «Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional! I'm taking the course with Coursera Canada. This is the course than Mr Garcia was talking about. We can translate the text in french. However I'm answering the questions in english. This is simple and easy! The course is very well done. I'm on the 1st Lesson which has 4 parts, and I'm almost half way of the 2nd part of it. It is a very good course! Thank you again Mr Garcia!
You welcome
Please could You share with me the link to Canada coursera please I need to get the canadian certifications

Thank you so very much for your video review. This is exactly what I needed as I ponder over whether to take this course. 🙂

Thank you so much Hector for your videos.
You welcome
This is very informative Hector, well done sir!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for this video! I have been wondering for years if I should pursue a bookkeeper cert beyond being a ProAdvisor. I became a member of AIPB and NACPB last year to try them out before pursuing a cert. I didn't even know about the Intuit cert! I'll be checking out Coursera and the cert details very soon.
Awesome, Good luck!
Great video, Hector!
Thank you for explaining the Intuit Certified Public Bookkeeper certification. I was wondering what in the world I had earned and how if it made any difference. I am still trying to understand the value of the cert. Thanks again.
Great video and info, thanks so much for clarifying.
My pleasure!
this is exactly. what i was looking for infinity thanks Mr Garcia.
Great
Thank you very much for such a great and valuable detail information
:)
Wonderful Hector. I took the QB Certification course and completed Week 1. I'm also taking the aipb course which is very difficult. The aipb texts I've found out need a prerequisite of a one year accounting course (the aipb video tells you) and experience as a bookkeeper, I have a little experience with QB (self taught) but that's it. I didn't realize the material was too advanced for my knowledge and training. In any event, I recently passed the aipb Adjusting Entries and am studying Depreciation. Fascinating material. VERY difficult texts though.
Yeap
Thank you for the helpful information!

Thanks for all the awesome content. I watch it a lot. Is this a canadian option as well?
Not sure. My focus is US content
Great effort
I have a BS in Accounting from Binghamton University but that Wharton certification is very tempting imo
It is..
You are a great teacher
Thanks
Hi. I just found you and found this very helpful, but I have a few questions and hope you can get back to this eventually.
Firstly, great content, but there are a few updates now. You can take the exam for free now but there is a 2 attempt limit and then a 6 MONTH wait if failed both times. I should start off saying I have zero experience with any of this. Brand new beginner.
I took the free course on Intuit Academy and found it to be less than helpful (it's actually pretty broken and I don't really have anything nice to say about it right now). However, I also went back to the course in Coursera and it's the same thing but less broken. Anyway, after going back through the course in Coursera, it prompted to go take the exam. I may be upset right now and thinking about it too hard, but Coursera tells people to take the exam after the first module "Bookkeeping Basics". Naturally, I failed it.
I guess my questions would be about additional training info for this Intuit course/exam. Do you have any ideas about this? I am desperately trying to find some info on this but hardly anyone is talking about it. Even the Intuit Academy is only really pushing the Tax Pro cert. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The ALL the modules at Coursera prior to taking the exam
Thank you Hector for this great information. What a coincidence, that today, I got useful information from two gentlemen name Hector.
Very cool
I was wondering if the Coursera course was worth it, thank you so much for this video!
:)
Is the intuit certificate/ certification enough to go get an entry level job in bookkeeping?
I'm graduating in December with an AAS in accounting. Is it still recommended that I go through the courses any of these associations offer?
Hi Hector, thank you for this video! It was very in-depth and really educated me on this new path I am taking to become a bookkeeper. I have a few questions. With obtaining this certification as an intuit certified bookkeeping professional, is this a certification that needs to be renewed yearly? If so, how do you go about renewing this certification? I know that the pro-advisor certifications are renewed yearly but when it comes to this certification does it have to be renewed yearly or is it a good practice to do so or is this a do it once and done certification?
We dont know that yet. Currently there is no renewal
Thank you.
You're welcome!
thank you!
:)
So cool!! 🔥
Thanks
Can I sit the intuit quickbooks exam from outside the US?
Thanks!!
You welcome
Thank you so much for your help and insight that you share. Highly appreciate it! My question is if I can take the $149 exam without the Coursera because I am about to finish my bookkeeping certificate at my local community college and I feel like I would love to challenge the Intuit bookkeeping exam after watching your video?
Yes you can… coursera is just for test prep.
@@HectorGarciaCPA Thank you for the very prompt update. I really appreciate it. That was fast. Thank you!
Thank you for the video. Is this all the same for Canada?
No.. i am sure there are differences
thank you!!!!
:)
Hi Hector, thanks a lot for this video it's very helpful, is the intuit bookkeper certification is good for canadian?
I dont know about Canadian bookkeeping industry rules
@@HectorGarciaCPA ok thanks for reply 👋
My goal is to learn bookkeeping and quickbooks so I can start my own bookkeeping business and have the time freedom. I have an accounting background, mostly accounts payable and some receivable. I'm interested in taking the Intuit course and then learning quickbooks. Do you think that is the best course of action for me to get started on this?
If you are going to do QuickBooks as well. I think is the best combination
Thanks for this. I have a question though. How likely are you to get hired with the intuit bookkeeping certification if you don’t have a college degree?
Extremely
You can work as a freelance bookkeeper on sites like upwork etc
Thanks a lot:):):)
Congratulations hectar.
Sorry to ask difference topic , why does your channel not teaching quickbook POS ?

Hi Sir! I am a new beginner. I want to become virtual bookkeeper. Kindly guide me which playlist of yours should I watch first?
Is there a QuickBooks course within the Coursera Plus option or should I just do the Bookkeeping first and then QuickBooks later?
I don’t think there are QB courses in there
Hello Hector, I would like to know what can someone do if they already have a degree in accounting from another country and was working as an accountant already for many years, and would like to be a certified as an accountant in the United state what should they do?
There is no “certified as an accountant” other than the CPA designation. You can become a CPA
