Set aside one hour a day to make art, any type. After a month it will be habit and you will drastically increase your skill. Family and friends will buy something from you and now you're a professional.
This channel will motivate anyone. Tim Packer i's the Dave Ramsey of the art world.
My favorite books (for learning about art):
    - Art and Fear by David Bayles
    - How To Be An Artist by Jerry Saltz
    - Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson

I'm in the reseller business and what I buy and sell is getting harder and harder to sell (resell prices are getting lower and lower), even though it's top of the line mid-century modern and have been in the business for decades. Another huge step is knowing how to adapt/evolve to new trends in color, design, etc. Your painting in the background is a great example. You try painting in that color palette and subject matter today and no one would buy it, not even talking about your skill level.

Everything I have ever been in has its down time. Worry about yourself and let others worry about you!

Thank you for this video. On TH-cam there are many channels that focus on selling art even if it's not that good. And yes, I can understand their pov, since that selling art without being a master still helps you to keep going, but at the same time I have always thought that quality is important, and that if you are really good, selling your works is not that hard. I appreciate your honesty and I know that I still have to concentrate a lot on the first step

I agree with your comment about BlackBerry. They were the king of smartphones. My perspective is that they got complacent and distracted by owning a hockey team. It didn't take long for them to lose their traction and the others moved into their territory.

There was a strange side element that didn't help them. I remember CBC radio starting running many "news" stories describing just how badly the company was failing. Then immediately after there'd be a "news" story raving about the next Iphone. It seemed like a paid hit piece followed by an ad! It was gross.

Regarding prints and photography, if your watercolors are small enough I've sold a lot of prints scanned on an old HP printerscanner combo I found on the roaddside. The printers broken but the scanner works beautifully

Do you happen to have a checklist or suggestion list of equipment that are "must haves" for producing TH-cam videos?
