Me: Huh, the Zipper, a super speedy villain, eh? What's his villainous deed today? Pickpocket everyone at City Hall, steal all the priceless paintings from the local museum, or kidnap someone for ransom, all the while doing it at a blinding speed? The Zipper: I'm going to use this bomb to blow up the world! Me: ...I think we might be skipping a few steps, but I like his "go big, or go home" attitude.
I’d forgotten all about Tom Slick. What cracks me up is how the evil (German) Baron was such a universal theme is so many shows and movies back then. Off the top of my head the movie The Great Race with Jack Lemmon and Peter Falk as the villains as well as Lancelot Link Secret Chimp which is hilarious! Just Get Smart but with chimpanzees. Wonderful stuff! I actually own the vinyl album Lancelot Link and the Evolution Revolution. Basic bubblegum pop from that era which I love!
Anybody know who voiced Dudley Do Right? I've noticed that Warner Brothers' Marvin the Martian sounds almost identical, but with more singsong and less vibrato. That's Mel Blanc. Who's Dudley?
I never missed them, even in the 90’s in 40’s. They could have saved them. They needed to get the FCC to allow 5 mins of educational programs in every half hour. So they could keep the shows at 20 mins. The FCC killed them by cutting down how many commercials they could have. So they needed more cartoons with less ad money. That’s why the Commercials were made so entertaining because they had 10 mins per half hour.

Oh how I've missed Saturday morning cartoons ❤️❤️
Maria Hardy Agree 😃
This was on ABC on Saturday mornings in the late 60's when color tvs were popular then,...we had a black and white TV when me and my siblings grew up
Just loved how his pet ape had an Oxford English accent!
Dude that ape is NOT a pet
More of a sidekick
Robin was Batman’s pet.
Ha ! Thanks for uploading this bodacious "blast from the past". Brings back wonderful memories of my 60s childhood.
Yes folks that the legend June Foray doing her Ma Beagle voice from the 1987 Disney classic Cartoon DuckTales
This was back in ‘67 so a good 20 years before Ducktales
i Miss Saturday Morning Cartoons 70s and 80s and the 90s 💔💔💔
Me too
Man how old are you
Me too. I watched them in 60’s to 70’s at my grandma’s house after school.
Haven't heard the Super Chicken theme song in over 25 years. 😅
55 years for me
Me either....though it's a LOT more than 25 years for me ! 🙂
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it.
Im not sure what it is but i used to listen to chicken little skits on my radio in the mid 70's.
I remember these from 60's as a kid. Pretty funny, Bullwinkle was my favorite.
I wonder if Sergio Aragones grew with these cartoons, since the style kind of resembles his art, especially Groo the Wanderer.

Fox aired this 1967 series on their Saturday Morning Cartoon lineup on their Fox Kids Network programming block September to October of 1992.
10:13 -- "91042" is the zip code of Tujunga, California, which is where Bill Scott -- one of the producers of "Rocky and Bullwinkle" -- lived.
I lived there for 55 years. It's where I grew up.
(Okay, that's a lie. I never grew up!)
Nice trivia!

Just watched all 17 (18) episodes. Thanks!
So did I.
You’re welcome
I love this show
Was not expecting a 'Pearl of Great Price' reference.
Maybe one of the writers was a member of the LDS Church.
@@jubalcalif9100 That's quite possible; not a widely known book to reference, for sure.
@@jubalcalif9100 It was mentioned at the end of a Star Trek episode. All LDS watched Star Trek.
Every one read in the 60’s so every one, writers and audience members knew the literary references.
I forgotten about super chicken 🐔 Remember that Mascot a chicken 🐔
I too had totally forgotten about Super Chicken & Tom Slick.
I just noticed that Tom slick is a remake of Dudley Do Right from Rocky and Bullwinkle
Was Gertie grower, a take on "the little old lady from Pasadena"?
First Animated television show of all time is crusader Rabbit then came Bugs Bunny then Garfield then Heathcliff
@@kleymontana-py7ov Bugs Bunny first appeared in movie theaters in 1938.
Probably because this animation series was made by the same production company (Jay Ward Productions) & used a lot of the same voice talent.
The '67 versions were great! Too bad there were so few of them :(
Prophetic !!!🐊💣🐒
In Aramaic too 🏰 🤣👣🌴
💥💤💫🍿🐔🎬
The creator of this worked on crusader rabbit in the late 1940s
A 💣 bomb powerful enough to blow up the world 🌎 OMG 😲 😱
I'm gonna tell my kid this is The Flintstones
Makes sense since segments last longer than the actual show for some reason.
Hilarious!! I'm a kid again, as usual!
The news spread like peanut butter....btw, who's played the timpani at the end of the episodes?...Bonzo perhaps?

I hope this will be on Me TV Toons when it launches in June of 2024.
Question for The audience who was the first Animated television show Super hero was it Mighty mouse or Atom Ant or Birdman and the Galaxy trio
Ahk Ahk Eek Eek Tuki Tuki
When you hear that cry in the sky you know it's super chicken 🐔

Should have tried looking it up. Man's name was Bill Scott. Maybe Blanc was inspired by Scott. They weren't identical but very similar, as I said.
Dudley do right was a take on the northwest Canadian monuties

Sounds like Aunt Karma 😜
Yep that's the legendary June Foray
