I had no memory card for my Gamecube for a while, and this opening cutscene was unskippable the first time you ran the game. So I listened to this many times. I found it tedious as a kid, now I love it very very much.

Not sure what number commenter I am lol, but this game has been one of my mainstays for literal YEARS of my life. My still functioning gamecube is used every weekend to play this gem of a game, and I even picked up the rerelease for the switch. I don't know what phenomenon called us all here, but I'm glad it did.
Shit, guess I'll comment too. This game was amazing for me growing up, and it has just the most captivating atmosphere for a fantasy game. I heard this today and realized I'll be playing this song when I move out of my parent's house in a month since there are a lot of parallels there, and I'll be very emotional about it. Strange as this phenomenon may be, I’m actually only the third comment here on this video from 10 years ago with the prior two comments only posted within the past few days. I first discovered this song when downloaded the demo out of boredom a few days ago, but realized the song was 10x better than my skill at playing games so I’ve just been listening to this for the past 72 hours on loop. Totally worth it…
Wow somehow I’m the second comment in ten years… And the first was from three days ago. I love this song so much; I remember how when I was a kid I used to play it over and over by restarting my Gamecube when it would end. The game was amazing as well; one of my favorites from childhood. I’ve looked for this version of Spotify but no luck; nor can I find a TH-cam video of it looping for a long time. I want to fall asleep to this song somehow but I don’t currently know how. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Almost like its to say the next best thing is coming, Dragon's Dogma 2. The only other game to capture the sense of adventure and companionship of Crystal Chronicles. Truly a beautiful thing 😊
Guess I'll be number 7. I really like listening to this when working on projects, such as painting my warhammer army. It helps me stay focused on the end result. I also find it motivating.
Number 8 here. Had this song pop into my head out of nowhere while playing FF14 and had to go look it up. Have a lot of fond memories of watching my friend play this. May all who came before and all who come after ever walk in the light of the crystal
Ah yes, FFXIV, the only other (video) game that managed to capture the essence of such an art masterpiece as FFCC (and somehow surpassed it, for me personally). I couldn’t fathom that another game would be able to give me that same sense of wonder and camaraderie (and banger music 🎶) the way FFCC did when I played it as a child. Coincidentally (or is it…?), I am going through a major life change when I recently mentioned this song specifically to a group of friends. They remembered the game and love/d this song too. We also got to talking about getting a group together to play DnD, so I find myself particularly inspired to create/run a home-brewed FFCC-like campaign for them. 🔮 We shall see… 🧐😉 Let’s hope FFCC continues to inspire us all, especially those who end up being shown this video on a seemingly serendipitous whim by TH-cam.
