Can't believe i still remember the lyrics, 15 years later. Hopefully im not wrong: Dreaming on the stars on high That speak to me in secrets sighs Drifting on a breeze, only i could feel and hear Could it be the sacred wind, that's pulling me to now begin To walk into the dark, carrying the light of tomorrow The beating of the wings up high Beyond the earth, beyond the sky Come now, don't hesitate, Don't look back we've got to go now Don't fear, you'll be safe from the one morning sky watching over the world Deep inside, so silently, my heart will speak Deep inside of me, memories flickering and shimmering on Endlessly... Keeping close to the path, morning sky watching over all the world Moving over endless mountains oh so high Walk into the light, your heart will see the path And you will find the way, just wait and see Moving over endless skies oh so high Tomorrow, you'll follow and with hopes your promise is today Just wait and see...
I really find both the original and the remastered versions appealing, as both will continue to exist as pieces beautiful in their own ways. What a treat to have the same singer gifting us with the original and later offering a more nuanced but equally heartfelt rendition. Been surrounded by singers pretty much all of my life (now expressing music of my own). I fail to understand what is "wrong" or "try hard" about either version rhythms. Musically speaking, perhaps there are superior singers who hear something I am missing, tonally. The feelings both versions evoke are wonderful.
I can’t really agree with this version. It feels like there’s a consistent delay on so many syllables and I just can’t get over it. It’s different but unwelcome and I prefer the original
@@hahab2531 You've utilized "try hard" twice. Her vocal and artistic interpretation of what she wanted the chorus to sound like wasn't invasive, nor was it overly showcasing. No obnoxious vibrato or dynamic, just interesting polyrhythm. It's ok to prefer the original, but there's nothing "try-hard" about this performance.
Agreed. The old version seemed to flow better and was more energetic imo, like the heroes are setting out on an adventure into the unknown. The aging of her voice and the slower and breathier vocals make it sound like the adventure has finished, and the heroes are back home reminiscing. Both are good, but I think the old version is more fitting.
I really love these re-records. Donna Burke's voice has aged in an almost timeless way, and the way she sings this and the new Moonless Starry Night has an even deeper emotional nuance than the originals.
Pretty sure it's: speaks to me secret signs, You'll be safe from now on" and "morning sky watching over Incredibly close if you are pulling from memory though
I just don't like the way the singer stresses different syllables to the original. The original flowed better like water, this one is breathy and staggering like the wind. Which... okay I suppose that does fit thematically, I just personally prefer water. That being said the singer's voice is still beautiful and I do like how crisp it sounds.
*Why is the singer's Rhythm wonky?* I can forgive it for the first two verses, but come the chorus it just throws off the whole sense of adventure the song is supposed to instill.
I don’t get why ppl hate this version. It’s literally the same instruments and singer and lyrics but with a few added instrumental harmonies. I like it better 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♀️
Its not, her singing is so try hard. She constantly does this slow tempo stuff that's just really annoying. Like, what's wrong with just keeping up with the beat? This is just an opinion, and you can think what you want, but I think it's the vocals that really get to people. The tempo is just off, and for a lot of people it seems to kill the feel of the original
@@hahab2531 honestly I think it’s cuz she’s aged 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♀️ it’s “try hard” bc she’s actually trying hard 🤣 I really didn’t like it at first but after hearing several Times I like it more now lol I respect your opinion tho :)

The different pronounciation drives me crazy
How is this not the National hymn of every country in the world right now!?
2:00 Breathtaking and tear maker
I love this game! It is my favorite game of all time! This song is so good too! 🤩

I was today years old when I learned this was Donna Burke. 😅
"Sound of the Wind" is actually the Japanese opening. The English one (this one) is called "Morning Sky"
Pretty sure it's: speaks to me secret signs,
You'll be safe from now on" and "morning sky watching over
Incredibly close if you are pulling from memory though
It's just not the same as the original English version of the song
@RKX17 You know it's the same artists performing it, they had to update and modernize it.
The lead voice is... close to Barbra Streisand 's sing style.
Is it her ?
Donna Burke sings the English version. And I think Yae does the Japanese version.
I like this version because it has more of a Celtic feel to the game, Which is what most of Tribes are suppose to symbolize things from Celtic Lore.
I did not know that. I am central asian and some instruments in game songs had very Kyrgyz sounds.

I actually prefer this one strangely enough.
Mee to bro!!
This proofs that nostalgia googles are bs

I personally love the vibe to this version over the original 😤🥰
The instrumental solo slaps harder this time
How to destroy a perfect song
Nobody talking about how the vocals are worse and how it would have been easy to keep the original. This is bad.

@@hahab2531 for real
This version sucks
Yup
It doesn't suck but it's definitely worse than the original.
Did they change the narrations too??
Its still donna burke and its surprising how she sound the same almost 20 years later
What o.o the same person :o not the voice sucks but the melody
Horrible version
