Well it was insinuated at the end of Tekken 7's story
He had chains in Tekken 5 DR, also chains on one of his Tekken 7 skins, it is a foreshadow of his new found control, i think DVJ will be combined with standard Jin, maybe a hybrid movelist, or new moves.

Jin had control over it since the cgi movie and in tekken 6 when he uses lasers and barriers, its not new
Finally we're at the point where the CGI movies of Tekken have become the actual gameplay, this was everyones dream back in the day.

This ain't cgi. This was actual endered footage from PS5. The creator tweeted it's the gameplay. This is how Unreal Engine works.
It was literally said in the opening (helmet scene) that this ain't cgi

That was definitely Jin’s rage art
Also the chains breaking symbolize that Jin is slowly gaining control over the Devil Gene meaning we’re going to see more hybrid gameplay rather than full on Devil Jin.
They might have a meter system where you can RA at different stages, perhaps even diffetent levels of RA. That end pose of Jin crushing the feather could be one of the hardest win poses ever. Imagine if they had reward systems, like you play Jin earn points and then spend them to unlock different win poses, or RA animations. Would layer this games grinding journey, so excited.
@@thejoekage9499 having different rewards would encourage players to go for that rage art which i think is good.
Devil Jin already has control over the devil gene tho, he has since 6
@@Jo_youwhatmate Not complete control, he faught Azazel, and passed out, was passed out through all of tekken 7. Have to imagine it's slightly more control as I don't think he will pass out next time he delivers a final blow.
from the producer of the game “this was captured from the story mode, it is not a pre-rendered movie made for the trailer but rather real-time rendered footage, running at 60 frames per second” they did kind of a similar thing with last battle of story mode in tekken 7

You mean when kazuya first transformed into his full devil form and when they were just beating on each other?
@@InnerRise It is in game footage of story mode as it currently looks, meaning there will be mid fight interludes for cinematic effect but is not pre-rendered in any way...as in this is what they're striving to make the in game content look like across the board, potentially including cinematic close ups for well timed dodges and heavy hits.
Of course...it's also important to remember this is all subject to change and may yet still be far from the end product so don't "expect" this in the final product

SN: I think the extra zoom ins were just displaying the Unreal Engine 5 ( like the blood flowing thru Kazuya's veins) but I'm pretty sure during actual gameplay most this in the game. Then w/ Tekken having these graphics now, I can only imagine a Tekken Tag Tournament 3.
Been watching the trailer so many times by far. It's intriguing with the colour designs & visual effects.

Tekken 7 was released in 2017.
its been released on arcades since 2015. 2017 was when they released it thru consoles.

they need to bring back some of the kazama style arts to his arsenal. I know a few of us miss him like he was in 3 . And I know that Asuka has her kazama style. But it still would have been sick to see jin do his mother's style again

Not played tekken since tag on the ps2 I think..I’m invested fully 😂🤣
About the camera angles let me tell you this, the engine knows the milisecond you press the button if the punch is going to connect or not and enable slow motion and change the camera angle accordingly, that is certainly doable but I didn't expect this kind of integration to be possible right now and I think it would disturb your combos in non-story fights bc you would need to know exactly the moment you can resume inputs or if your inputs are cached during the slow-mo. I'm pretty sure these moments will be reserved just for the story fights but maybe an enabled setting in the game menu.

One thing somebody just pointed out to me is that Tekken 8 looks 2D? There are no side moves whatsoever in the trailer.
