    So the root stock has to have a green cambium ?

    • @LorezaKabuhayan

      The scion’s cambium layer, which separates the inner core from the rest of the stem, should still be green, not brown. This is to make sure the stem is still fresh. Both stems should be freshly cut, otherwise the graft won’t work.

    Thanks for info? When is the best time during the day to perform grafting? Early morning or late afternoon?

    • @LorezaKabuhayan
      @LorezaKabuhayan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for asking. The best time to do grafting is during the start of the growing season, i.e., springtime. As much as possible do it when it’s humid to avoid drying out of the cut surfaces, before the bond is made. Humidity levels are higher during the night. It is relatively highest around sunrise but drops as the temperature rises during the day. If you do it early in the morning when it is most humid, make sure to keep it covered and in the shade during the day. Humidity could be lowest late in the afternoon, but will increase during the night. So, as long as you do it quickly without letting the cut surfaces dry out, you can do it late in the afternoon too.

    Which of those graft is most efficient?

    • @LorezaKabuhayan
      @LorezaKabuhayan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right now, we don’t have sufficient data to say which method is most efficient. They all work under ideal conditions. You may experience failure with any of these methods though, from time to time. It really depends on many factors, which include weather condition, as well as, human error.
