I really appreciate your effort, we were not knowing, we must make area wet by passing brush before putting glue.
Sir, I have some other options, you must experiment.
Some time the holes is bigger.
You purchase hard straight water pipe with joints to fix both sides, You purchase rubber rings black and white.
You put pipe and put ring from inside and outside now put joint on both the sides and fix it.
After that put your glue.
You must check in Indrustral shops, what size of pipe and rubber rings are available. Now a day's we have facilities different sizes of joints
You keep your first aid box ready for any sizes leakage treatment.
Another suggestion.
If using Male and female strips used by tailor.
You fix it and put glue if we have larger straight lines cut.
I will request you to make tank conical shape by digging earth.
How to make tank with damage tarpaulin.
You can buy singer machine to stich, using Male and female strips, to make tank in case of damage tarpaulin.
Lastly........
I forgot to write, you must two closing stopper to put on each sides pipe to prevent drainage of water.
