‘What's love but a second-hand emotion?’ What a line. And what a song. And what an absolute legend of an artist. Everything about Tina Turner was iconic, and thanks to masterpieces like this, she will NEVER be forgotten. Thanks, Chantae, for suggesting this and thanks, everyone who voted for it.
This song hits differently after seeing the movie based on her life ”What’s love got to do with it” from 1993 with Angela Bassett as the actor for Tina. I saw it as a kid and it was a heartbreaking experience to say the least.
Love it! That's an 80's walk.😂😂😂 I never thought about decades having different walks, but I was taught to walk like that in the 80's when I went to modeling school, which is also hilarious. Love Tina!❤❤
Now you have to react to Tina in concert! Wembley 2000 where she was 60yo!!! I’d love to see a Tina Turner week/s!!! 😉 Week 1: 1. Proud Mary (live at Wembley 2000) 2. Nutbush (live at Wembley 2000) 3. It’s Only Love (duet with Bryan Adam’s, live) 4. Private Dancer 5. We don’t Need Another Hero Week 2: 1. Better Be Good To Me (Live at Wembley 2000) 2. Steamy Windows (live Barcelona 1990) 3. Show Some Respect 4. Steel claw (70s Tina performing on some show) 5. Let’s Stay Together 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Btw, that’s a Tina walk!! ❤️
Thanks for this I went to her wildest dreams tour and she was in a mad jazz cage flying around the stadium. I'm so glad I got to see one of our Ledgends . Thanks Chante for the suggestion
In my humble opinion this is the best Tina's song, I also love the video, it make me remember a world where most of women had to wear high heels. love 80s for ever
Tina did not like this song. Famously. Same as Celine with "My Heart Will Go On" and Whitney with "Where Do Broken Hearts Go." They didn't want to record them!
so fun fact: in the last scene of the music video where she black woman turns around and points at her - that actress was in the movie of tina's life. Vanessa Bell Calloway is her name and she played the friend of Tina. over the course of the movie, she goes from background singer and dancer of Tina's to being her friend and introducing her to the spiritual chant that serves as the basis for Tina's trajectory in life at that particular point. also a not so fun fact: the reason for the hair tina had in the 1980s is because she was actually bald in real life due to an incident that is briefly explored in the movie.
Tina T. mentioned in an interview that she REALLY disliked this song when it was proposed she sing it by her music producer ... ( she didn't compose or write it ) ... she relented and it became her biggest hit . Everyone assumes it was written by her from her own experience ; as you would .
Tina, the voice, the song, the 80:s walk, the look, the moves, the vibes!! Everything about this is iconic and amazing!!❤️

@brynprobert54321 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Tina Turner! Arguably the biggest comeback in pop music history. She did it not by conforming to the times, but by shaping it to her will. ❤

I remember PROFOUNDLY when this song and video dropped. It was earthshaking. Especially for those of us who remembered her from her time with Ike.
Live Tina Turner performances would be a great reaction!!!!

Such a class act. She was amazing.
This is right after she left Ike bounce back on top of the charts . She was in her early 40s queen of rock and roll ❤❤.
80s walk, is very much catwalk walk, and Tina had great legs
Tina, there will never be another one like her. The voice is so unique. I'm so so so sad I've never seen her in concert.

Imagine the 80s walk with the big shoulder pads 😂😂
Tina was as famous for her legs, strut and dancing as she was for her wonderful vocals. No one else like her.

FIRST
I love Tina, but this was one of her weakest songs. Too poppy. She is a rock legend. Simply the best.
