Thanks for the help! Me and the girls were looking forward to playing and having a guide to help us figure out what we’re doing is gonna be real helpful :)
Helpful tip for Dynamo! If you start reloading and then trigger his healing aura, you keep reloading even before the t3 upgrade that makes it not channeled anymore
Man, I used to binge the Siege videos for the humour, despite the fact that I literally never play it. Actually having Gregor post about something I'm sinking hours into is very nice
I subscribed to you years ago for your R6 content when I was really into the game, but I haven’t really played it in a long time. Recently I got into Deadlock, but I have yet to be able to play it so I figured I’d watch videos to gain knowledge in the meantime. Hey G, I don't comment much but I wanted to let you know that this video, much like a lot of your content, is something truly special; incredibly educational able to make even nerds like me learn something about a game i already have several days of playtime in, while also having jokes that actually made me burst out laughing (specifically the abrams incredibles jokes and the mole clip that twitter saw early). Been following you since the original all op guide, and I'll happily look forward to any game transitions you make in the future (and irl ones too ig).
Hahahah this is wild. I used to be a subscriber to you back when I played Siege, but when I dropped it, I kinda forgot about related channels. In the meantime, I was actually transitioning. I havent really tuned into your videos cause i havent played siege in a while but i want to say congrats on your transition~ Also a thing about pocket that maybe should be added is their first ability barrage applies a damage amp debuff on the enemies for each one hit. so its a good idea to lead with your 1 and then use everything else.

i just want to note that paradox wall DOES NOT COMPLETELY STOP PROJECTILES it just delays them for a second or 2 so if ur just standing still thinking nothing is going to hit you, when the enemy unloads a full clip into the wall on ur head, ur screen might just go gray
This is the first video I've seen from your channel because I've been getting into Deadlock and it's very well made and charming! I don't even play R6 myself but I still enjoy watching it, so you've definitely earned a sub from me. Would love to see more stuff like this from you! Also, a quick thing you missed with Viscous, you can also use his puddle punch to launch yourself which can make for crazy fun movement shenanigans, both on its own and especially when paired with a maxed out goo ball.
I wasn’t aware of the channel name change. But then I heard the specific speaking style, and saw the editing style and was like… “😮! OMG I’VE MISSED YOU! wait… where’s the ‘Suh dudes?’” Haha this is awesome. Now I have a bunch of great content to catch up on in R6, AND you’re on Deadlock now. Life’s good.
Please keep making content for this game G. Your the only siege creator I watch anymore but God that game is exhausting. This video was hilarious btw, keep it up!
I’ve never watched ur stuff before but this was GREAT as a hero shooter player who has never touched a moba before. I was struggling at understanding characters based on the in game descriptions so this was a great overview with a little bit of supplementary info on moba roles
I gotta say, your coverage really put me on to trying Ivy and Vindicta. Clear, concise, effective. I also feel seen by you, as someone who is also not beating the allegations x3
OMG thank u sides the fact that this video is well written und rather funny u are the first ytber who doesnt refer to Pocket with he/him (means a lot to me)
Shiv is the most fun character I've played in a hero shooter. He's like the personification of "nah, I'd win". Dude is perfect for ego dive 1v3s and challenging high burst dmg one trick players like lady geist mains because he just soaks the damage, and then pays back the life debt he's accrued through one rage cast of his dash and then stack knives and hit your 4. I've not played LoL, but I am aware of Yasou mains and I believe Shiv is the Yasou main's paradise if they ever left that shitty ass game. 😅
As a fellow paradox player I'd also like to recommend maxing the bomb first and buying cooldown items for the bomb. Makes her wave clear insane and she can pretty easily keep up in CS with any fed carry just by pushing lanes and clearing jungle camps with her bomb + tesla bullets. I love this style because it's completely agnostic to whether or not you're popping off in team fights (which can be hard on paradox) and allows you to scale well into the end game even if your opponents are really strong
I like the sprinkle of humor and a few memes (not too much) in the videos. Also well explained all heroes for a beginner such as myself. DPS heroes are my thing since im moving from CS to this
This video gave me a different perspektive on all heroes, it made me want to try out some of the heroes i originally said ''nah, no thanks'' to. You did a good job of just scratching the surface of every hero, and giving a little bit of insigt into what this and that hero does good and what they dont do good. I love the comedic element, and the League of Legends references were spot on
@@5q1d87 Not that i know of, and giving what might be their deadname is a weird ass choice. Tips for Bepop you can "pre wind up" your laser beam by hold right click your mouse, or you may called it "ADS". Then you can last hit and deny creep instantly because the laser beam are hitscan like G said. But bear in mind bepop red laser have max range, not unlimited range with damage dropoff.
In terms of the Paradox wall, it DOES NOT stop bullets. It merely slows them down for a bit. So if you’re standing still behind that wall, you will still get hit just as much as if you hadn’t put it down in the first place.
I just got invited to and installed the game today so this was very helpful. I loved, and would like to see more of (where applicable) the combos that characters have in their kits and that they can do with other characters. For instance a friend and I worked out we could deliver Infernus while he's ulting with Ivy's ult.
Tip for bebop! By angling your first ability upwards or even behind you as you turn the hook (ala Roadhog overwatch style), you can punch an enemy straight up instead of away if you want to!!!!
I find it funny you put Gabe’s “worth the wait” quote for Yamato, cause Deadlock just like TF2 went through a complete drastic change in art direction from cyberpunk to its current one and Yamato’s model is from that previous vision of the game Unless that was the intention then good on ya
Honestly, there’s a lot of stuff in this game that I would consider bullshit in any other game, but it’s not as aggravating in Deadlock because everyone is busted in some way. This game is so much fun. (nerf shiv)
Also worth noting: Lash does more damage with his stomp (ability 1) the further he travels before hitting the ground. So if you use your ability 2 to get high, you can then jump with space to get even more height before using the stomp. And if you are already high up (on a building) and stomp, the damage can become quite ridiculous. Also his Ult works best/better when high above targets. The Ult target cone benefits a lot from height and allows you to throw targets further and more easily. Lash is really all about airtime and movement.
My favourite haze build involves buying the purple item that reloads your mag upon skill use. Pouring all your bullets into someone, use your dagger against them - then finish them off. You'll get a few free headshots if your aim is solid since they're still from the sleep. 75% of the time it works 100% of the time.
pretty important thing you should have mentioned for lash: the thing that separates a meh lash from a great lash is the use of the map. if you learn to climb up rooftops lash can consistently half health people from level one in certain spots, which when coordinated with your laner can be devastating
Paradox wall stops the owl (and after a recent update it blocks haze ult, too). It also doesn't actually block damage, it delays it. If you stand in front of the slowed bullets, they will eventually get through and hit you. Paradox ult does not have lifsteal unless you buy an item to get spirit lifesteal.
Just want to add a few other things for Paradox: Her shield doesn't just stop projectiles, it delays them. You're not entirely safe behind it, it just gives you time to dodge shots. The shield also damages enemies that go through it. Put it on a choke point, swap with them to deal damage to them with the ult AND shield, and then watch them kill themselves as they try to walk back through the shield. You can use your other abilities while channeling your charge shot. Charge it, throw your pulse grenade directly on the enemy, and then stun them for extra damage.
Bit odd he didn't mention the wall part, maybe she was just buffed at some point? Not only does it do 10% of their health if they pass through it, but at T3 it will also silence them for 3 seconds. Pretty damn strong
13:51 They recently changed Kelvin dome so that objectives beneath it will be frozen and invunerable so you cant use it to steal rejuv as easily or cheese patron kills
A pocket tip that you didn’t mention: you can combo his 2 and 3. By using 2, then using 3, then teleporting to your 2, your 3 detonates instantly at the teleport’s location. If you build spirit damage, you can pretty much instantly delete 2/3 of someone’s hp by landing this on them.
Great video. Would have liked to see though basic combos for each character, as a starter for beginner players. For example, Abrams: Charge > shoot > heavy punch (watch for parry).
For any prospective Pocket players out there, you can use your cloak, use briefcase, and then teleport to briefcase at your destination for added burst. This is also one of your bread and better defensive/escape options since you’re invulnerable in your briefcase.
8:24 that's one of many small things that actually helped me during my matches. Characters would also say stuff like they should buy T3 items or kill creeps. Helps me with my pea-sized MOBA brain.
some other stuff about paradox - nade gives damage amp - wall doesn't stop bullets, it slows them. it also does max health damage and applies a slow so it's good for swapping through, chokepoints, and wall dancing - carbine scales off weapon damage. carbine gives movement speed scaling with spirit power when active. scoping in air while carbine is active will cause you to slow down dramatically - swap gives 100% spirit lifesteal (if you have nade and wall up they'll benefit during the cast too i believe) so it's a good saving grace tool - paradox has a good early and very strong ganks
It had been a long time since i last watched one of your videos, so i genuinely did not recognize you for a few minutes lol Guess that means the voice training has been working, yea? congrats
For paradox, high mmr players like MikaelS like utilize swap with wall to do extra damage as they pass through the wall and it also silences enemies for 3 seconds at max level. The time bomb can increase the damage you do with your abilities so sometimes its good to toss it out before shooting your kinetic carbine for that extra scaling. Lastly, a important detail about her 4 ability is that it gives you spirit lifesteal and also applies a small DOT effect on the enemy as well. I am a paradox main who has about 100 hrs on her since I got access.
Glad to see that deadlock is even enjoyed by parts of the siege community. I must admit I did not expect that due to the drastic differences in it being third person and more ability focused with a fantasy setting. Something that fans of tacticool or cod fans would despise.
very in depth, wish you went a little more into how each gun felt, other then that this is an amazing place to send my friends when they ask what character to play
Claiming Abram’s mag reload mechanic is a downside is nuts. You at any moment can steal or claim a soul. Most people caught reloading lose the claim but not abe
I really wish you would lean into valorant and deadlock content along with siege. I love all three games and appreciate your videos, keep up the good work g.
I feel like the video is definitely a very big project to do research wise so I can not complain about the lack of specific character tech.. but I would like to just push forward some Yamato tech that is not mentioned in her bit for those that care (There are no Yamato comments from what I've noticed) Power Slash: - Dropping (Not jumping) off a railline allows you to keep your momentum and partially float down at a slow speed while charging your 1 - Charging your 1 right after dashing allows you to keep most of your momentum but usually will still have you stand still for a couple fractions of a second. - While charging your 1, you can also mantle over objects. You can nearly fully charge your 1 before climbing up and poking the enemy with very little counterplay. Flying Strike: - Unless the slow utility from it is absolutely necessary, you can cancel it to carry over a lot of the initial "diving" momentum into either a double jump, slide or both with a lot of velocity.Additionally allowing to charge 1/melee/shoot the enemy instead of dealing minimal damage with the ending slash. Crimson Slash: - When dashing, your 3 automatically targets in your dash direction, which means you need to input a slide if you want to 3 sideways while dashing Shadow Transformation: -The main thing about her ultimate is the ability to quickly execute plays due to the CDR it gives, I'd argue that the ultimate is not a very big focus on the character as her 3 gives her a bunch of sustain late game with reasonable green items. Hope it helps if you/whoever is reading this ever wish to get into her properly. I've covered her as a whole before in general if you care for any guidence. Good video regardless.
I'm crying that you didn't use a Pudge clip for Bebop but I understand why as a non-MOBA person until DL you wouldn't. Still, I'm crying. 😭 Great video though, I really enjoyed what little of Deadlock I managed to play (there were no EU servers at the time) and your comedy + editing style on a Valve game that combines the aspects of Dota 2 I enjoy as well as being a shooter has got me very excited to dive back in and give it a go.

Thanks for this, been having a hard time with certain characters and wanted to learn them better
18:28 without me?!
Helps me with my pea-sized MOBA brain.
some other stuff about paradox
- nade gives damage amp
- wall doesn't stop bullets, it slows them. it also does max health damage and applies a slow so it's good for swapping through, chokepoints, and wall dancing
- carbine scales off weapon damage. carbine gives movement speed scaling with spirit power when active. scoping in air while carbine is active will cause you to slow down dramatically
- swap gives 100% spirit lifesteal (if you have nade and wall up they'll benefit during the cast too i believe) so it's a good saving grace tool
- paradox has a good early and very strong ganks
It had been a long time since i last watched one of your videos, so i genuinely did not recognize you for a few minutes lol
Guess that means the voice training has been working, yea?
Pocket enby believers eating good with this one (we can read)
Glad to see that deadlock is even enjoyed by parts of the siege community.
I must admit I did not expect that due to the drastic differences in it being third person and more ability focused with a fantasy setting. Something that fans of tacticool or cod fans would despise.
Finally a Deadlock video with League reference and comparisons, all the other ones are Dota 2 references.
If you buff fire rate a ton and damage a little, if you use grey talon to jump over or near enemies you can melt their health bars.
very in depth, wish you went a little more into how each gun felt, other then that this is an amazing place to send my friends when they ask what character to play
The viscous fist abilities scaling with the mele perk is really great to know. I will add more of this in my future build
Dude, I want to play this game so bad! It looks so fun!!!
Can't wait for G's Deadlock streams
Claiming Abram’s mag reload mechanic is a downside is nuts. You at any moment can steal or claim a soul. Most people caught reloading lose the claim but not abe
Absolute CINEMA
Best deadlock video.
I really wish you would lean into valorant and deadlock content along with siege. I love all three games and appreciate your videos, keep up the good work g.
Thanks for overview!
Did I just hear a vainglory reference? Outside of my own home?!
~"Infernus ult like Alpha"
Thought I was the only one
I feel like the video is definitely a very big project to do research wise so I can not complain about the lack of specific character tech.. but I would like to just push forward some Yamato tech that is not mentioned in her bit for those that care (There are no Yamato comments from what I've noticed)
Power Slash:
- Dropping (Not jumping) off a railline allows you to keep your momentum and partially float down at a slow speed while charging your 1
- Charging your 1 right after dashing allows you to keep most of your momentum but usually will still have you stand still for a couple fractions of a second.
- While charging your 1, you can also mantle over objects. You can nearly fully charge your 1 before climbing up and poking the enemy with very little counterplay.
Flying Strike:
- Unless the slow utility from it is absolutely necessary, you can cancel it to carry over a lot of the initial "diving" momentum into either a double jump, slide or both with a lot of velocity.Additionally allowing to charge 1/melee/shoot the enemy instead of dealing minimal damage with the ending slash.
Crimson Slash:
- When dashing, your 3 automatically targets in your dash direction, which means you need to input a slide if you want to 3 sideways while dashing
Shadow Transformation:
-The main thing about her ultimate is the ability to quickly execute plays due to the CDR it gives, I'd argue that the ultimate is not a very big focus on the character as her 3 gives her a bunch of sustain late game with reasonable green items.
Great video though, I really enjoyed what little of Deadlock I managed to play (there were no EU servers at the time) and your comedy + editing style on a Valve game that combines the aspects of Dota 2 I enjoy as well as being a shooter has got me very excited to dive back in and give it a go.
