this single VID has lifted a weight off my shoulders, I have been struggling to learn this for some time now, never knew it was here all along, may your days be long @ NICK
It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful people are at sharing their knowledge. Thank you very much Nick for taking the time to pass on your knowledge and basically train your audience. Not only is your tutorial excellent for the how-to aspect of illustrator but also good methodical working habits for newbies. I truly appreciate it. I'm now a subscriber. :)
I usually hate this process of finishing off a design project and you have just blown my mind! So simple! I cannot believe how much time and effort I have wasted doing this on previous projects. Thank you so much for such a well explained and easy to follow video!
Very useful tut. What really grinds my gears is you do all this thoughtful work for your client and they don't give it to printers when they need promo stuff done. They just give us low res jpegs. Remind your clients to save these files in a place they can access whenever they need things printed.
Thank you, I worked pretty hard on my first logo for a customer and this really helped me to get organized and send them something very professional when all was said and done. Great Tutorial!
I'm grateful for this video. You possess the remarkable ability to convey just the right amount of information to provide a comprehensive understanding while maintaining conciseness. Thank you for sharing such an incredibly helpful video!
Bruh, your video came in CLUTCH! I learned so much!! Can you believe I sent a zip file of all the files at once in no separate folders? This is way better! Also, your class is ONLY $17?! How?! I was definitely expecting like $500 something, haha.
This is just what I needed!! I've been growing as a graphic designer on my freetime and really didn't have a good understanding of how to set up these types of things for clients. This is more than helpful!!!
this was so incredibly helpful, thank you! im finishing up my very first logo for a client but i had no clue how to use Illustrator or how to send the finished product (very much a "learn on the job" situation), so this video was very clear and helped reduce a lot of my stress.
I designed the logo for my girlfriend from overseas. I had a vague idea of the files I had to send her, but now clearer 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 . Thank you very much! Very helpful . Rate this video: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That was super super useful, thank-you! I'm self-taught/learning with a few design programs and this was an area I wasn't too confident with so thank-you!
Such an awesome video!! Thank you so much. My only question is about the CMYK color mode. Do you need to create a separate master file in RGB & do the whole process again for screen icons or does the exporting for screens take care of that for you? Thanks again!!!
I second this! Also curious what's RGB and what's CMYK now. If my client would ask what file to use for printing a T-Shirt or what file to use for his website, I'd be clueless as of now tbh :s
@@meyanh6238 You can change the document color profile by going to File>Document Color Mode>RGB/CMYK. You want to use RGB for anything digital and CMYK for anything print. Computer screens use Red, Green, and Blue light to create colors whereas printers use Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and, (K)Black ink pigment to create colors.
@@Tyus_ Thanks a lot but this is already what is known to me. I'm curious what the exported files use.. it seems like he put everything into CMYK, so basically what file is RGB now?
@@meyanh6238 It looks like in this video he only exported CMYK files. I would do this whole process again but with a RGB color profile that way you have both. You will notice very slight color differences in the CMYK vs RGB files especially with dark colors. That's just how the color systems work. Not much you can do about it.
I agree with Jacob Davies comment - this is my least favorite part of the process, but you have made is so easy. Thank you! I love the bonus "file type" support PDF, too. Great idea and snazzy simple design. Thank you, Nick!
Gah I'm wondering the same thing! My client will mostly use their logo system on the web. I'm also curious about Pantone/Spot exporting. Design Made Simple - any advice? This video WAS very helpful for CYMK exporting.
Ouhn thanks a lot ... i had to make packages but my illustrator didn'r really made a zip like in indesign it was giving me a lot of irritation until i found ur Video ! Now i can sleep in peace finally haha. Thanks!
Wow very useful information. AWESOME SAUCE 👌😊😊😊😊😊 I'm new to your channel and OMG all I could say is there is hope for me yet. I just got Adobe illustrator and I'm trying to learn it on my own. You make it look easy. That's all I'm a say. 🙂
One major question I have is the way I choose the colors for print. In the colors tab should I switch to CMYK? Or changing the document color space to CMYK is enough to have colors accurate for both print and screens?
This is great! And sending the guide about different formats along with the other files, a really great idea!! That's great added value to the customer. Might make one myself and start using that :) thank you!!
Straightforward, no catchy intros, no unnecessary talks. For someone with severe focus issues, I loved it!
why cant all youtube tutorials be this straight forward. 10 out of 10.
