Create Interlocking Letter Logos with Illustrator

In this tutorial I'll be demonstrating how to create a logo where multiple letters intertwine with each other, using Adobe Illustrator. The letters will be interacting with each other in such a way that it appears as if they're going over and under each other at key points. We'll be making good use of the Offset feature as well as the Direct Selection tool to achieve this.

instead of 20 clicks you can hold shift and use your arrows it would only take 4 clicks. one shift-arrow click is 5 single arrow clicks.

alt click on negative area deletes T completely! What mistake I am doing?

What if you don't want the negative space in between? Do you just select the inner nodes instead of the outer nodes and delete?

Your videos are great but I keep having trouble with such a simple task. (Experience w InDesign but using your tutorials to get to know Illustrator!) When you use direct selection took, I cannot get the T to increase. Have held shift and drag, but somehow am doing it wrong. Can you lmk those specific instructions for grabbing and dragging to make the T larger? Thank you!

sorry new to illustrator, when using the direct selection tool when I try to extend the T, even when I select the top part and the drag... the whole T moves up and doesn't stretch?

By default all of the anchor points will be selected when you grab the Direct Selection tool. Just click off of the graphic to deselect them, or click once on a single anchor point, then you'll be able to grab the ones at the top to stretch it.
