quick tip - if you name your artboards on the illustrator file, it will also rename your svg's, jpg's, png's etc and save you a bunch of time when exporting
That was absolutely fanastic! I am new to illustrator & designing anything at all. I was able to follow along without any trouble. Hats off to you Jesse! Well done even for us beginners.
Thanks Jesse, this was super helpful! My only recommendation would be to label your artboards in Illustrator first, so you don't have to rename all your exports after.
Logo express is where it’s at, does it all for you in about 10 seconds, all named and in folders for print and digital, and patterns and illustrations!! . Best investment I made as a logo designer 🤘
Looking forward to trying this at work. I had some major issues with saving logos that were accessible for the whole organization including the tile preview showing up black. I will be sure to come back to comment how my experience went.
omg this was the best! I will come back to this once I get back in illustrator 😊. My logos weren't saving with the transparent background. I see where I went wrong.
I really loved this video and found it helpful, Could you do a video about what to do with files after a client work has been delivered like aka the project is over and you want to store your work over the years?
Thanks for the video👍 Can I ask please having a white color type and colored mark logo on darker color background for example dark blue, would it creat any disadvantages in terms of printing etc. ?
Hi, great video! May I ask how do you establish your art board size/resolution? Is there a recommended set up? For example 24 by 24px or 1920 x 1080, etc. Thanks
I would just to be safe, I usually save RGB and CMYK vector files. For Jpegs and pngs your prob okay just doing RGB since those are mostly used for digital applications.
hello sir, i need to ask that i have created a logo, i want to use it in a viideo, i have exported it as png 24- transparent, but when i use it in video , the logo edges are not sharp they are pixeleted, what should i do to avoid that pixeleted edges? please help sir, i beg u
It will change the resolution because it’s making more Pixels Per Inch. Make sure you adore illustrator document is 300ppi. You can also save at 72 for smaller files sizes and for web.
Zip file through email is the simplest way. There are websites and services that can store the files that the client can access them through as well. Check out will Peterson’s channel.

Thanks Jesse! Just want to add it saves a lot of time by naming the artboards so you only have to name them once.

I usually just work on a 11x 17 inches art board
@@JesseNyberg solid thanks!
@@JesseNyberg 11*17 is for flyers don't you think it's too big for a logo
@@trabelsichaima6708 that’s true I usually just work in those 11x17 art boards and the logos I’ll save in 4x6 or 5x5
@@JesseNyberg oh i see okay thanks for replying and for the information 😊
Does anyone know a good channel for learning this exact thing, but on illustrator for iPad?? Please?
thanks very help full video.,....
Happy to help
If you are a mac user and having issues duplicating the artboard hold only option down. It didn't work when I did shift option
One question!! How do i get files that im finished with/ not working on no more to NOT appear on my home page in illustrator??
Thanks Jesse
Nice one
Jordi-Jordon thank you!
waht is tge best one for editing video❤
So do I also save all the variants in RGB too? aswell as CMYK?
I would just to be safe, I usually save RGB and CMYK vector files. For Jpegs and pngs your prob okay just doing RGB since those are mostly used for digital applications.
I saved as SVG but they dont have transparent back on web
rgb isnt for for print in general and that many versions is overkill. svg and png (72dpi) for web is enough + jpg for print (cmyk+300dpi) is enough
Nice tutorial dude, btw what font did you use for your intro?
Appreciate it, I used Druk super wide.
Also A good free alternative is Nimbus Sans Extended Black

page size???
when we change the ppi to 300 it changes the resolution , what should we do ?
It will change the resolution because it’s making more Pixels Per Inch. Make sure you adore illustrator document is 300ppi. You can also save at 72 for smaller files sizes and for web.
just use export for screens and before that rename all artboards u will save much more time
How do you send the file to the company?
Zip file through email is the simplest way. There are websites and services that can store the files that the client can access them through as well. Check out will Peterson’s channel.
