Im getting ready to purchase a scan tool but I would like to know if this will give you the vehicle's actual mileage? Im getting ready to buy a good used car to make my work car but there's so many vehicles that have had their odometers messed with. Seeing how much data this tool provides, it looks like it surely can pull the odometer reading from the engines computer right?

I picked one up recently just under $200USD. I have another one that works fine but the software requires aditional $$$ for full diagnostics per make or model. I am in the market for a used car and this tool gives you all the extras for all makes and models. This was actually a deal.

@@JuanGarcia-hh5gf There is a lot of info. I have a $30 one too and the software requires me to pay to read more info, which is fine for on car. If I want to unlock reading a entire make of cars it would cost me about $80. Since I am car shopping this is great because all the info is just there.

Something worth mentioning is that Xtool's iOS app is useless. Doesn't have the updated interface like the Android app and freezes all the time. It's basically unusable. Better look at a different tool, If you intend on buying to use on an iPad or iPhone unless you want to waste your time and money.

@@jonathangaliano2617 It has good functions (using it on an older Android) so not too bad for the money. Was £150 when I bought if I recall correctly, how much is it now? No idea about iOS, haven't tried since buying it.

Is this the best non subscription required tool you've tried? If not what is? Anyone know a good bidirectional scanner with no subscription fees? I don't mind paying to update one when needed if I bought a car newer than the scanners last update but I need something good to work on my own vehicles to keep around but that's not worth paying a subscription for. Paying a yearly or monthly subscription to work on the same old cars is crazy.

Regarding the licence and "free upgrade/update" for life... - is it linked to the dongle or to the tablet?
In other words - can it be installed on multiple devises, and use whichever is you want?
Also, can it read "distance driven" from the various ECUs (like Bosh Service software) to check/verify potential "odo rollback" ?

For the ~US version , A30M 10.7 is what comes from Xtool. I have not seen a 12.7 except on and other reviews channels. it's on Ebay as the A30 not the A30M so 12.7 is potentially the clone he mentions or a 1st edition?. From what I can tell, the serial number in the dongle adapter is what the software and updates are connected to, not the host device and software. I've loaded it on a android phone and a iphone although I haven't had it for more than a couple of months. It does read the odometers but I've read it is limited on odometer correction.
These numbers are voltage of particular car battery it being used, so this number varies with different vehicles, you wouldn't be able activate and use software if it is a clone.
The LCD Screen displays the vehicle's battery voltage to remind you to do diagnosis in a safe voltage.
@@abdulkaderismail8013 @Abdul Kader Ismail ah... we know what the number is, It's the box cover that is different. There is not a "ANYSCAN A30M" on the cover of the box also. It's the little nuances that help discover the clones from the real thing. Apparently the box is from the marketing group vs the production group when you buy it it has a 10.7 on the box.

Hi, I bought one of them using the link you put in the video, it was able to read the code on my triton 2011 (SRS airbag code B1610) but after I repaired the issue the XTOOL A30M was not able to turn off the warning light on the dashboard, and after I repaired it the code shows stored. Any thoughts?

B1610 is OEM code concerning equipment of the brand, after repair it stays stored for a period of time so that any person who buys the car, could know what was repaired in the car (equipment not engine) it's special option called 'MODE 6'

It does show transmission temps, and no it can't program key fobs. You'd need one of the more expensive XTool tablet scanners for this, and then you need to buy the bolt on key fob reader which is £300 alone.

Full scan on an F10 5 series took 45 seconds. On a W204 Mercedes it took about 2 mins?

So I got mine yesterday. I'm so disappointed. Most of the functions that supposed to work with my car does not. I'm no noob. Advanced diy mechanic and I.T professional so i know my way around software. This thing just doesn't work. I'm almost set on returning it but first I'm gonna test it on everyone's car i can get my hands on. My car is a 2010 civic 5 door hatch fk2

@@burak7638 I have mine for about 2 years now. At first i didn't like it at all but now i think for the price and what it can do it's well worth it. For my honda yes some of the features don't work but it still gives me enough information to fix things. On other cars it works much better and in some cars everything works. I've come to love the xtool over time. Free updates for life i can't complain. Still well worth it.
The cheaper and free apps do that and more.

xtool anyscan is available for android (wouldnt touch ios) I just dloaded from playstore and also got an apk update from xtool site ya donut

I have this tool and it is awesome. If the issue that triggers the SRS light currently exits no tool will turn it off.
