Nope car scanner and xtool will not help you for coding...for that the best will be launch creader elite (black) its for vw audi bmw mercedes and bunch of extra brand but verify what you want to code with launch support before buying

In your experience, is there any disadvantage of picking the Vlinker MS instead of the OBDLink MX+ besides the lower speed? Is there anything the MX+ can do that the MS cannot?

Any scanner that can access all systems...topscan, thinkdiag2, xtool a30, etc... but it will not work in case: 1. Car doesnt have mileage record in multiple modules 2. Mileage record was adjusted in all modules
The think diag 2 does not work very well with my 09 vibe. I think there’s some complications with the facts that Toyota made the car and it tries to run it as a Chevy.

I had this problem for Opel Vivaro. Instead of auto scan I choosed renault traffic (same car basically) and then it worked fine.
