Adrian 9000 I don’t know if it’s actually possible without new game plus to do all of them but if you try to balance byleth a stats really well and invite students you want to recruit to stuff you can get close. Some students are very easy to recruit, like Felix.
It’s weird but I think most of the students you fight at gronder field are the students you don’t recruit. Usually those students will join you at the beginning of the time skip
So I really like the blue lions, but I only recruited Ashe in my first playthrough (golden deer). I didn’t understand why I had to fight the kingdom so I whipped out the Eagles and avoided the Lions (I had also recruited Bernie and Petra so I didn’t kill anyone), hopping that after that I could join forces with the Lions. That didn’t work but I still had hope knowing that Dimitri would just retreat after I defeated him, so I used Flayn’s rescue and Lysithea’s teleportation to move Byleth next to Dimitri and one-shot him, effectively ending the fight without killing any Lion (not even the extras). ...But then in the next dialogue they told me that he ended up persecuting Edelgard ALONE, EVEN THOUGH ALL HIS TROOPS AND FRIENDS WERE ALIVE and got killed by some random soldiers... It was such a Bruh moment
I have a lot of problems with how both Fimitri and Edelgard were handed in the Golden Deer route. To a point where looking back, their deaths didn’t impact as much as they did in the other routes
Same, but I chose Blue Lions for my first playthrough! When I got to the the battle of Gronder Field, I was confused as to why I had to fight the Golden Deer students. I didn’t understand why I had beef with them. I thought it was a mix-up, some confusion caused by Edelgard, so I chose to avoid the GD forces. I thought that if I wiped out the BE forces quickly enough, and if I didn’t harm a GD student, it would trigger an early end to the battle where the GD students wouldn’t fight me. It’s cool for all 3 houses to be fighting again like in the Battle of the Eagle and Lion, but story-wise it didn’t make sense why BL was fighting GD. Maybe it will make sense when I play a GD playthrough.

I played it with Japanese VA and he conveys a totally different feeling there. Like so much so that my heart kinda hurt. It is more like a "trying to hold back sorrow noise" in japanese

Damn, the Blue Lions kind of die for a pointless cause in Verdant Wind/Silver Snow. It makes me feel glad to have them recruited on those routes, atleast some of them acknowledge that they would've died on at Gronder if they stayed in the Kingdom. Weirdly enough, I think many of the Blue Lions characters get more development than the other houses when they're recruited in different routes. Especially Felix of all people gets the most development with Ingrid coming a close second in the Crimson Flower, Verdant Wind/Silver Snow.
@@adrianayala5476 May feel out of place to say it but Felix gets the Shinn Asuka Treatment(SAT). Shinn starts out pretty okay and well-intentioned and becomes a hero but slowly goes down the rabbit hole and starts developing and gaining negative traits as the story goes on. He.. becomes an anti-hero or Anakin Skywalker with extreme sanity issues right after he shoots down his mentor.. who ends up surviving through plot armor. Then he proceeds to go more nuts and almost past the point of no return. Getting himself somewhat redeemed at the end of the story. Felix, well... he starts out okay in Crimson Flower but.. you get where this is going. He ends up starting his own descent into "villainy" since he ends up killing his father, his friends, and Dimitri while ruining who he was in the process. The only way he can be redeemed is if he supports the right people but only after spending some time being the murder hobo he's become at the end of the game. I do not want to say Felix got SAT down but.. he got SAT down.
It makes sense for those who are at Gronder to be there though. The cause technically isn’t pointless because they’re hoping that by defeating Edelgard, the war will end. It just feels pointless because they all end up dying except for Dedue. What did feel more pointless was in BL when you have to fight the GD, the deaths feel extremely pointless since you end up allying with Claude anyway. So Raphael, Leonie, and Lysithea can potentially die over a little misunderstanding. Overall I think Gronder Field, while a fun and cool map, is pretty horrible narrative wise since there really just wasn’t a reason for Dimitri and Claude to fight. In GD, Dimitri is dead set on killing Edelgard so why are we fighting him? Why is Claude suddenly colorblind in BL?
Claude always just seemed idiotic when it came to the battle at Gronder. My main reason isn't the fact that he blindly attacks everyone, but he sets up an ambush lead by Hilda behind KINGDOM FORCES

He's my least favorite house lord. In the Black Eagle's Edelgard route he's nicer to them when they die. I don't remember why he's such an asshole during the GD route.
I did Ingrid's paralogue without recruiting her in my GD run. Then after timeskip when fighting Ingrid she had that special lance with her. I guess Sylvain is the same. Just do his paralogue but don't recruit him.
this was super weird for me because I SWEAR for my GD run I recruited every student possible, then this map appeared and when I saw Ashe I was like “what” and was super super sure a bug or something happened and was super sad then I saw the spare option HEE hee

I didn’t want to fight him on my first ‘non blue lions’ play-through, so I avoided him, and it resulted in him NOT dying, but also not joining with me! I was devastated! (Ashe was my spouse in the blue lions play-through, and while I’d ‘moved on’, I was still sad to be without him!)
My first GD route I missed recruiting Felix, Ferdie, and Lindhardt bc I didn't know any better ways to recruit than learn skills and I fuckin cried man

The only one out ALL of these students that I didn't want to fight is Bernadetta. And then this happen. I was SO tempted to do it over. And then I got to Eldgard. I was plaining to end it quickly, then she started talking shit about Sothis when she had nothing to do with this. I drag that fight out longer then it needed. Dorothea was burn alive.
I might be wrong about this but I think that you can't persuade Ashe in Golden Deer or Lorenz in Blue Lions (both in Silver Snow) if you didn't recruit them before the time skip. Lysithea is the only character who can be spared without prior recruitment, and that's just in Black Eagles.
At fort merceus, in GD route, I didnt recruit Caspar and Linhardt, so I decided to spare them(not engage them). I thought I felt good until Javlin of light come in and i forced to assume that they all dead by that :(

I guess it is because they are traitors that fight for what it is best for them instead of your cause: Ashe had his adoptive father and brother killed by the church and he had no choice but to join Gwendel because Castle Gaspard was territory associated with the Empire. Lorenz was sent by his father to support the Empire since House Gloucester is in the middle of both territories. Lysithea is convinced that the Church is evil but what she cares the most is her parents and besides, the Empire already did awful things to her family; so she obviously betrays your army. Meanwhile, all the other students are loyal to who they joined and will never betray them.
People commenting that because Bernie's tile is the only one not torched, Edelgard isn't directly pissing on her death. Do...Do any of you actually understand how fire works?
I have been so lucky for recruiting every students from both Blue Lions and Black Eagles on the Golden Deer route without New Game + except that Ashe left the group but that's because he's the only unit for giving him a second chance.
I hate how when you kill the people on the blue lions, Dimitri doesn’t even feel bad. He either says their name, says nothing, or says, “Hmph.” At least Edelgard cared about her allies. That’s the first and last time I’ll give Edelgard a compliment
Ashe is was the first death I saw and didn’t know it was preventable. Battle animations made it even worse. The one final scream and Ashe sitting lifeless on the ground after his death quote.

The first time I played BL I only recruited Linhardt and Caspar (wanted to S-support Linhardt and couldn’t leave Caspar behind), but I made it a point to avoid as many people at first, so at Gronder I only killed Raphael cuz he just HAD to attack me. But by my second playthrough I went out of my way to kill students to see their dialogue. During the Crimson Flower route there’s so much hurt and betrayal ohmygod (I recruited so many people omg). I can now keep my emotions in check mostly, but during this video when Mercedes dies, my heart hurts omg
You know.. I killed Ashe in my first play through because I DIDN'T know I could save him. It killed me inside. And now I see I COULD HAVE saved him and I feel very dumb.
When i saw i had to fight ashe i tried to avoid him but one of my team members killed him. I was really upset about it that i turned back time and avoided him the whole battle. I wish i could have got him but i was too late but at least he is alive.
I'm currently on my first playthrough of FE3H and I'm playing the Black Eagles route. Looking at this made my heart break, which is why I've managed to recruit every student and faculty possible. I just don't want to see as many named characters get hurt and/or die. Even if they are annoying, like Ferdinand and Lorenz.

I didn't recruit anybody from other houses in my first run (golden deer) and so I had no option but to kill them all. Like I didn't even know this spare vs kill choice existed.
The game didn’t give me the option to recruit Ashe, probably due to me not recruiting him before the time skip. So I avoided him in battle so I wouldn’t have to kill him. I killed him with Byleth initially hoping I could spare him but nope. So I found it better just to stay far away from him. Had Hilda grab the chest with her wyvern and kept her away from him which worked out in the end.
Next, I think we should have all character quotes before, during, and after the White Heron Cup dance competition EDIT: Also, to save some time, how about a separation between the female and male students, or between the three houses?
I had the option to persuade lysenthia in my black eagle run but she was super far, and badass bernie had to flex on the whole map and 4 crit kill the main general in 1 turn ending the level. I woulda restarted too but I couldnt do bernie like that after what she did.

Hell, Hubert was somewhat astounded at Claude's scheming in Crimson Flower from what I recall.

Felix seems to get negative development, especially in Crimson Flower. His endings basically have him become Dimitri 2.0

I did Ingrid's paralogue without recruiting her in my GD run. Then after timeskip when fighting Ingrid she had that special lance with her. I guess Sylvain is the same. Just do his paralogue but don't recruit him.

this was super weird for me because I SWEAR for my GD run I recruited every student possible, then this map appeared and when I saw Ashe I was like “what” and was super super sure a bug or something happened and was super sad then I saw the spare option HEE hee
Some students leave even after you recruit them. Like Lorenz in BL. You can spare those people if you have recruited them before

I didn’t want to fight him on my first ‘non blue lions’ play-through, so I avoided him, and it resulted in him NOT dying, but also not joining with me! I was devastated! (Ashe was my spouse in the blue lions play-through, and while I’d ‘moved on’, I was still sad to be without him!)
I’m glad videos like these exist. I recruited everyone in each route. I couldn’t fathom killing ANY of them.

I might be wrong about this but I think that you can't persuade Ashe in Golden Deer or Lorenz in Blue Lions (both in Silver Snow) if you didn't recruit them before the time skip. Lysithea is the only character who can be spared without prior recruitment, and that's just in Black Eagles.

At fort merceus, in GD route, I didnt recruit Caspar and Linhardt, so I decided to spare them(not engage them). I thought I felt good until Javlin of light come in and i forced to assume that they all dead by that :(

I guess it is because they are traitors that fight for what it is best for them instead of your cause: Ashe had his adoptive father and brother killed by the church and he had no choice but to join Gwendel because Castle Gaspard was territory associated with the Empire. Lorenz was sent by his father to support the Empire since House Gloucester is in the middle of both territories. Lysithea is convinced that the Church is evil but what she cares the most is her parents and besides, the Empire already did awful things to her family; so she obviously betrays your army.
Meanwhile, all the other students are loyal to who they joined and will never betray them.

I have been so lucky for recruiting every students from both Blue Lions and Black Eagles on the Golden Deer route without New Game + except that Ashe left the group but that's because he's the only unit for giving him a second chance.
I hate how when you kill the people on the blue lions, Dimitri doesn’t even feel bad. He either says their name, says nothing, or says, “Hmph.” At least Edelgard cared about her allies. That’s the first and last time I’ll give Edelgard a compliment
Ashe is was the first death I saw and didn’t know it was preventable. Battle animations made it even worse. The one final scream and Ashe sitting lifeless on the ground after his death quote.

The first time I played BL I only recruited Linhardt and Caspar (wanted to S-support Linhardt and couldn’t leave Caspar behind), but I made it a point to avoid as many people at first, so at Gronder I only killed Raphael cuz he just HAD to attack me. But by my second playthrough I went out of my way to kill students to see their dialogue. During the Crimson Flower route there’s so much hurt and betrayal ohmygod (I recruited so many people omg). I can now keep my emotions in check mostly, but during this video when Mercedes dies, my heart hurts omg
Gwendal and Dimitri both have unique dialogue with one another. I think that Ingrid and Sylvain do with him as well,but I haven't tried it yet.

When i saw i had to fight ashe i tried to avoid him but one of my team members killed him. I was really upset about it that i turned back time and avoided him the whole battle. I wish i could have got him but i was too late but at least he is alive.
I didn’t have a b support with Ashe yet so I just ran like the wind to the boss and didn’t let my units touch him. Be spared, Ashe.
I'm currently on my first playthrough of FE3H and I'm playing the Black Eagles route. Looking at this made my heart break, which is why I've managed to recruit every student and faculty possible. I just don't want to see as many named characters get hurt and/or die. Even if they are annoying, like Ferdinand and Lorenz.

I didn't recruit anybody from other houses in my first run (golden deer) and so I had no option but to kill them all.
Like I didn't even know this spare vs kill choice existed.
The game didn’t give me the option to recruit Ashe, probably due to me not recruiting him before the time skip. So I avoided him in battle so I wouldn’t have to kill him. I killed him with Byleth initially hoping I could spare him but nope.
So I found it better just to stay far away from him. Had Hilda grab the chest with her wyvern and kept her away from him which worked out in the end.
Next, I think we should have all character quotes before, during, and after the White Heron Cup dance competition
EDIT: Also, to save some time, how about a separation between the female and male students, or between the three houses?

I had the option to persuade lysenthia in my black eagle run but she was super far, and badass bernie had to flex on the whole map and 4 crit kill the main general in 1 turn ending the level. I woulda restarted too but I couldnt do bernie like that after what she did.
