Redoing? This is a conceptual overview of all the aspects, practical and technical. When someone is ready to start and need a step-by-step how-to of a mapping method - that’s what my original tutorial series is for 😊
No problem. I wrote the series after combing through hundreds of posts in your amazing Facebook group and making a spreadsheet of the most asked questions and answers - so I hope I've hit all the major points 👍
Hi Zoe, I really can't say whether those projectors are right for your particular set-up. I'd recommend you take a look at the video specifically about projectors th-cam.com/video/m4uFbq8VyNA/w-d-xo.html and use the Projector Central calculator to figure out whether a projector works for your house/yard www.projectorcentral.com/projection-calculator-pro.cfm
Your content is very high quality - please keep it coming. But could you turn down the sound effects? They detract from the experience for me. Maybe I'm alone.
I love your videos.. I am going to be doing my first projection mapping this year at Halloween. I will be projecting on the outside of a bus and a different projection on the inside of the bus. I am trying to decide the projectors I should buy and would love your input. It will be at night with not much ambient light, but I am still thinking 4500 ansi lumens for the outside projector. I am having a hard time deciding on a good one for a relatively good price. Also, on the inside, I am thinking one at the front of the bus projecting back and on one wall and another mounted in the back projecting forward on the other wall of the bus. Does that sound like a good and doable plan to you? Also, I know the inside does not have to be near the brightness, so I am thinking (2) 1500 ansi lumen projectors? I would really appreciate any input.. thanks!
For the outside, these are the projectors I usually recommend as starting points www.lumabox.com/house-projection-mapping-kit/. For the inside ones, will there be people inside with the projections because I think you'll need to think carefully about how and where you are mounting them to avoid shadows being cast. Also, depending on the dimensions of the bus and how large the image you want to project is, you're definitely going to need short throw if not ultra short throw. It all sounds quite cramped and would need to be planned carefully 😅
@@LumaBox Yes, that's what I was thinking is ultra short throw. My bus is built out like a lounge inside so once people sit down they won't be moving around, but it's still going to be tricky! When I get the first project done successfully, the ones following will be easier. I have been going through your tutorials and I have the outline completed but I am struggling to get the white composition background to go away and just display the outline so I can start animating on it. Does that make sense? The outline keeps disappearing when I click away from it. Also, per your recommendation, I purchased After Effects and am currently going through Gareth David's 48 series tutorial. I'm glad you recommended getting proficient with it. It is frustrating at times, but ultimately rewarding!
I am using After Effects. It looks like somehow I deleted the rest of our conversation inadvertently ..I figured out how to get the background black by changing the channel to RGB straight. I did a precomp on the linework to make it one entity, but it still disappears when I click out to start adding animation. I appreciate your help luma box!
Redoing your series huh? It’s was your original videos that helped me mask my house last year for Halloween.

Loving the new videos!
Thanks Miranda!
Excellent!
Thanks for watching! Are you new to house mapping?
Will a Optoma GT550+ or a Optoma EH501 work for a 2 story house and short/small front yard? If not, which one would you recommend? Thank you

Hello, this is really encouraging information but I have a question if I don’t have a laptop, can I use an iPad?
There is Dynamapper for tablet I believe. But in general, no. You will struggle to get deep into this hobby with a tablet
Which software did you use?
I personally use After Effects to design show content and MadMapper to map. I use the orthographic method
Can I hire you to do a project for an event in the local art gallery??
Howw much for full set up plz reply
