Are you telling me that the Nazi kamikaze missile program should've used SquareSpace?
I mean, how else do they share it?
Yes. They could’ve convinced the funny mustache man and his war cabinet so much easier had they used SquareSpace. The war could’ve gone so differently too lol
I'm assuming SquareSpace reviewed this ad read and were like, "Yes, the Nazis should have won WWII by using suicide rocket pilots and we designed our product so that, next time, the fascists will successfully enslave the world."
We would all be speaking German, right now
If the Germans used squarespace DC would bear German flags
A design inaccuracy with your model. The V1 and its piloted version are pulsejet powered. Unlike traditional jet engines, pulsejets don’t have turbines inside the engine. Instead, pulsejets fire in spurts. The side effect makes the jet create a unique and incredibly loud noise, giving the V1 its iconic nickname, The Buzz Bomb.
Yes, this needs shutters at the intake opening and closing.
Immediately thought the same thing when I seen turbine there
Was going to make exactly the same comment. My first thought seeing that animated sequence was "That was not a turbojet aircraft."
@@dr.threatening8622I thought it had no moving parts?
@@carlosandleon the shutters at the intake open and close to pulse the jet out of the back

@ddegn but it tastes such sweet. 😂

I guess you could call them ... Kamanazi?
Haha😂
Take my like
Take my like and get out
I did not see that coming...
Allied pilots often complained that after a successful dogfight, they had to clean a Messerschmitt off their fighters for hours with a hose
Kamanazi is good but... can it beat the Nazikaze?
I knew Japan had these kamikaze planes but had no idea the Germans did.
The Germans had their own division, specifically to ram enemy bombers.
Btw kamikaze is like the Navy Seals in Japan. Kamikaze is an elite group of the Navy and Army Air Forces that are well-trained and always got radical designs meant to turn the tide of the war, including but not only suicide fighters
The Kettering bug was around in 1918
If you are thinking about bailing out, you've got a jet intake right behind you
Fritz did nazi that coming
That must have sucked
Lmao😂@@Mr.LaughingDuck
Square space, helping you design your Nazi death glider. brilliant.
"the nazis should have used Squarespace" may not have been the best choice of words...
If they had, they would have won the war.
The pilot had a parachute and there was an auto pilot to handle the last 20 seconds of flight so it wasn’t deadly kamikaze. Japanese kamikaze were bolted and locked into their cockpit canopy.
They were not bolted into their canopy that is a misconception. The only ones that were bolted in were the ones in submarines
ive heard that the other design, the one that rams bombers and uses coal fuel, also wasn't so much kamikaze as it was "this is designed to let you survive but *you* are the weapon so dont be mad if you die"
@@flundyyy Think the Oka pilots had no way out but the ones flying standard planes had the option to return to base if no targets was found.
Heck yes, finished night shift and get to relax with a found and explained video, great morning indeed.
hope u had a great shift, enjoy the vid man :)
As the war in Europe ended Ford Motor Company and Republic Aviation in the US was building a V-1 copy for use against Japan. Many were launched from Florida in the direction of Cuba and some got "confused" and headed back towards Florida.
It would be inserting use for the emergency fighter program.
Now you gotta do one on japans manned missile
The Ohka was effectively a licence built version of this
To his credit, it was Admiral Donitz who took one look at this madness and ordered it stopped.
Considering what a nut-job he was, this is a surprising flash of humanity.
Donitz a nut-job?
Would love to see a video on some of the late war Japanese prototypes like the Kyushu J7W Shinden canard fighter plane, Nakajima Kikka and Ki-201 jet fighters, and the Mitsubishi J8M rocket interceptor. Also a video on "Project Z", the Japanese equivalent of the German "Amerika Bomber" project, would be awesome to see since it's a little-known yet interesting part of WWII history.
Interesting Video, but please note they are pronounced M-E, H-E, F-I, J-U, not Me, He, Fi or Ju.
...and FEESLER, not FYSLER.
Correct. Oh, text-to-speech software, how silly you are sometimes.
Any chance "Found & Explained" could cover the Heinkel He 280 jet fighter prototype as well?
I like how CC censors Focke-wulf
YT Morality police sucks. They should get themselves the internet and look things up.
The CC thinks Focke is the F word
Minor tidbit- you may want to refer to the Heinkel aircraft such as the "He-162" as saying the letters one at a time or simply say the name of the company "Heinkel 111" for instance. Most aviation circles I know say it that way
For future reference, the "W" in "Luftwaffe" is pronounced like the "v" in "van".
Hope that helps :)

Click bait title. The Reichenberg would not have extended the war and it was not maneuverable enough to dodge fighter aircraft. Hanna Reitsch did NOT win the Knight’s Cross, she was awarded the Iron Cross. Hajo Hermann is pronounced Hayo. Honestly, your research and pronunciation is woeful
A manned V1? Holy shit it's like the ohka. Unlike the Ohka, the manned V1 pilot was intended to be able to jump out right before impact and parachute down.
My grandma told me about how our uncle used to be a technician crew before being sent to berlin
I guess this truly is a case where the missile knows where it is XD. Great video, unfortunate matter.
Everything ive ever read has never suggested these were designed to be suicide attacks. The pilots were supposed to bail out, although it would be very difficult to do in practice. The Luftwaffe didnt like the idea of suicide attacks as a principle. It was desperation.
The V1s were pulse jet, not turbine or rocket
The first organised Kamikaze attacks were after DDay, so the Germans couldnt have been inspired by them before that
Would not an pulsejet be perfect for the Oka? As I understand the Oka had limited range as in around 40 km because solid fuel rockets, this was to close to the fighter screen so the bombers tend to be shot down.
Yes you also need target id but you could use fast fighters for that.
Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Mueaum in Everett, Wa has the Kamikaze V1 on display. Next to a V-1 and V-2 and other german jet aircraft.
These planes were proposed, but I have never heard that they were actually deployed. Love to find the source for them being deployed
There's something really funny about a piloted pulse jet aircraft. Even in modern days the sight and sound of a civilian piloted one would be hysterical, considering how loud they are...
the Pilot was supposed to bail out just before impact, it wasnt a suicide airplane at all. oh and the v1 and this manned variant uses a pulsejet, there is no rotating part
Hey guys, can you tell me what background song at 0:00 - 0:13 at mig 29 story
25 minutes? Not bad!
They should have designed a belly hatch for ejection, and do a vertical dive if they want the pilot to be able to parachute and still be on target.🤣
Hajo is pronounced as Hayo. Hanna Reitsch did not have a Knights Cross but only the Iron Cross 1st class.
They weren’t suicide pilots my friend, they had a parachute and were instructed to bail out before they hit their target
Hello Nick.
I Know is annoying to ask but could you make an video of the B-36 Peacemaker in future?
Also can't wait to see this film❤

The V3 rocket is actually that antigravity flying "tictac" UAP found by US fighter pilots
Source?
That is nuts
Man! I really enjoy all of your nazi-aviation-tech videos! Hope you make more!!
one fun(?) fact about the Japanese Ocka suicide rocket plane:
the impact detonator was too stiff and the connection between the warhead and the plane was poorly built (thus intergrally too weak) so when those kamikaze fleet rammed the american ship, the japanese pilot usually get crushed to death instently wile the warhead tend to snap off the crushed flat fuselage and dash off after punshing a hole on the other side of the ship above waterline, and all the american ship end up getting is some damage super structure plus a fresh human shape patty for those sailors whom crave for burgers :P
plz make a video on focke wulf ta283 super lorin
kid. those piloted v1 made to test the flying characteristics of the plane. the geramans had radio controlled missiles with tv camera and used them sucessfully against boats.
I’m surprised the pilots had to sign a waiver
Those things actually flew!?

Love your vids, and since you mentioned it: I think Fiesler is pronounced Feesler (using an anglophone tongue).

Upon learning of the Ohka, I could never get over how it's silhouette--both overhead and in side profile--strongly resembles that of the A-10 "Warthog". Now, seeing this plane's trainer variants--with their forward cockpit placement--I can't help wonder if a design for a plane like the Warthog had been on file for years, but was overlooked & passed-over based on the how the future of military air power was seen as simply being "higher & faster"... with older prop planes being designated for ground control attacks, since such missions require long loiter times and high payload capacity. That is, until an aging fleet, along with the Vietnam war... and rumors of Soviet tank development... pushed need for the likes of the A-10.
I had spoken with Hanna Reisch at the early 70th about this topic. The Reichenberg was designed as testbed for improving the Fi103.There were plans to give it steering ability and improve its accuracy. It was never meand for suicide actions. Some verry entusiasticly joung man asked about the possibility to use the Reichenberg in this way, So they start a Selbstaufopferungsgruppe, but this idea was not liked among the officers. Not a single Reichenberg was used in combat only in testflights.
It's called the reichenberg if I remember correctly.
Mate that segue to the Squarespace ad was diabolical.
They could've just put guns on the plane; it probably could've been a last-ditch fighter/interceptor.
Tried that with the 163 Komet, did not work out, although to be fair this one didn't explode if you accidentally rocked back in your seat too fast
08:14:
In you model is a jet engine depicted, but the V1 and its derivates used a PDE (Pulse Detonation Engine), which doesn't spin around. It has flaps which open and close rapidly.
(PDE's were handled already in other videos on this channel).
It was weird seeing such a big error.
V1 doesn’t use a Pulse Detonation Engine, it uses a Pulse Jet. PDE’s detonate, Pulse Jets deflagrate the fuel.
3:55 so they should have made an squarespace website to convince people to make suicide attacks on allied shipping? XD
Sorry i couldn't miss the bad timing of that ad xD
If they wanted the pilots to survive, they'd been given the opportunity to bail out from the bottom of the craft.
The title says it all
The Fieseler was insane. It's not like Germany, Prussia or the Teutonic Knights have a culture of honor-driven ritualistic suicide like Japan has with seppuku, but they still managed to get fanatics to volunteer. The Ohka was an understandable development for Japan, they did kamikaze runs with regular aircraft like the Mitsubishi A6M Zero or Nakajima Ki-43 Oscar loaded with extra munitions for more damage, so a purpose-built kamikaze plane isn't too far out of left field.
Also, 1% survival rate? Modern-day gacha players would take those odds.🤣1
Isn't this the German version of the Japanese Okha Kamikaze plane. If you look at the German and Italian Kamikaze weapons the speedboats there is one key feature that sets them from the Japanese version is that the Germans and the Italians have the crew bail out unlike the Japanese version which has the crew explode with the boat.
1944 1945 era Shinyo🇯🇵 vs Linsen🇩🇪
Bcoz having suicide in the name of the aircraft doesn't explain it is evil already?
W video!
keep it up
Take care of yourself bro.
Well the Japanese managed to do this called the Sakura were it did managed to score some hits and suck some ships during the late wars in the Pacific but they mostly they have to be carried by medium bombers that American Radars can detect them before the Sakura can reach its range for about less then 23 miles. It was just a waste of life as these pilots were brainwashed to be killed and ever return like a Sakura flower as it falls down the tree. Most of the pilots were undertrained and the Americans called them "Baka bombs".
Brainwashed or patriotic.
i want this in warthunder
Sounds like Slapped Ham.
Similar to the baka bomb aka the cherry blossom
The Kettering bug 1918
Okay first, I never heard any connection with the Ouka and the V1Rs in any Japanese sources. Yes it's mentioned since it's similar but if anything the relations between the two would be more accurate with the Baika(梅花) special attack plane which was basically a Japanese designed V1R.
Second: @12:23 Did you just say Germanese? Instead of Japanese? Jesus.
I doubt that the Germans would make that because it's hard enough too shoot down a v1
Kamikaze: I sleep
Kamikaze, Germany: *REAL SHIT*
So I’m just going to explain it from what I can put together from the thumbnail Germany put guys in the V-1 Flying Bomb
People, Please, this was a just a man piloted testbed version used by the Germans to figure out why the v1 kept crashing shortly after launching. It killed many test pilots till Hana Reich successfully flew one and managed to survive the flight to tell the designers why it was crashing. This was NEVER A SUICIDE WEAPON. That's just click bait. Go to the short videos on TH-cam labeled OPERATION CROSSBOW. They tell exactly what this was designed for. The whole Hollywood movie is actually is very good. Its based on Fact.

Dang AI is getting good... or did Mark NOT tell us something abot his ancestry?
No offense taken though: having a German paratrooper in the family tree is pretty cool!
Is this for real? I've never heard of these jets.
At least one was built I am aware of.
Nazi Germany did loots of crazy weapons at the end of the war, but the this V1 variant was built as a prototype but was never used, not that the plane was for the pilot to use the escape hatch on the floor, and escape before the missile impacted.
This channel doesnt get enough hate tbh
Agreed.

could ze germans have built a fighter from the pulsejet engne?
2:06 why haven’t you used borders from 39/44? Map with modern borders makes no sense
because if we use the border countries from 1944 people won’t recognise the countries and we can’t get across quickly in a TH-cam video the exact state of the world
@@FoundAndExplained okay, I’m polish and I know the borders during war and I was confused when i saw new map😂

The piloted V1 program had NO CHANCE of extending WWII!
yet another weapon that had literally NO chance of delaying the war's outcome. Just like the failed Japanese Ohka.
If anything it accelerated the war's end by diverting precious german resources.
im gonna be honest with you chief, nothing whould extend the war past 1945, the americans had the nuke and thay did not care if thay whould drop it on germany or japan
Did this rendering display a turbofan or a pulsejet?
You mean there's a difference?
Kind of jarring seeing fans on a pulsejet.

Kamikaze is the dumbest thing ever, train your pilots and put them in actual planes smh
Just train your pilots bro.the lack of trained pilot is why these exists.
Japan and Germany both had so many projects that were both:
* Astoundingly high-tech and forward-thinking
* Absolutely bonkers
It really does boggle the mind at what they both were in the process of developing in late '44, early '45 that never saw production.
Sometimes, desperation is the motivator for innovation.
Think about 1000 of these being used on D-day. The damage they could have done to the fleet would have been enormous and may have forced the allies to turn back to England. I imagine that if it didn't initially work, the allies would have sent thousands of fighters the second day on. But, damn!
Cancelled because they couldn't get pilots
