It's great to launch something so quickly, but we as builders need to do more to convert users. Here are a few easy things to do right now:
- Buy a domain that compliments your GPT title
- Create a public site (I use NextJS+Vercel here)
- Connect your domain to your OpenAI Builder Profile
- Cross your fingers that OpenAI keeps making Builder Profiles easy to find
So, what does this all mean long-term?
1. The GPT store is a huge opportunity ... for lead gen -- not revenue.
2. So, we still gotta focus on providing unique value to users.
3. Once we do that, launching a GPT to the store can be an easy, FREE way to acquire more users
