developers: how to get promoted quicker (persuasion hack)
I have a method for getting what I want (like a promotion). It’s difficult to execute, but it’s simple and effective. The best part is that people enjoy it when I use it on them.
I think it’ll work for you, too, so I’ll break it down.
TL;DR: I build trust, then convert trust into behavior change. I repeat this process until I get what I want. Finally, I make sure I want the right things.
1. Trust is a proxy for how well current words describe future outcomes.
2. Behavior change is needed to get what you want
3. Exchange trust for behavior through an offer
4. Make better offers by making your words more valuable
5. Make your words more valuable by doing what you say
6. Reflect to avoid over-invest in wanting the wrong things
7. Connect your actions and desire to a purpose to make everything easier

Developers: Focus On Your Strengths (your salary with 2X)
มุมมอง 908หลายเดือนก่อน
Know thyself. If you're a purist: you can double your salary as a software developer by interviewing, negotiating, and resisting loyalty. But also beware focusing exclusively on what you love (coding) leaves you exposed as that skill becomes less scarce. If you're a utilitarian: you can more than double your income by skill-stacking and iterating quickly while you become an entrepreneur. Avoid ...

How everything about your second favorite video conferencing app works, including architecture, video backgrounds, codecs, data streaming, and pubsub. We start with a deep dive behind the open-source WebRTC architecture that powers Google Meet, then dive into Meet's architecture and features. Finally, I give Meet an official grade and explain what all this means for regular devs like you and me...

So a rapid log is just getting feelings out?
It can be for tasks, events, or notes (like feelings)
Thanku 😊
welcome!
Seems 😂, I am a purist
Blessed
Do you realize Linus Tolvards is worth probably like 50-100 million dollars right ? You wont be Software Entrepreneur while you are shity coder, all of those people who started coding and transfered to "management"/CEOs were crazy good coders before they did that. This video is so misinformed on so many levels. The best answer for average person is to be purist that just dont put out with bullshit and isnt scared to hop company when he isnt valued here...
50-100 mills for linus is pretty low TBH. He's an internet and OSS personality and has only 2x-3x the net worth of any random wall street retired software engineer.
@@kipa_chu Idk dude, I wish I had at least a half a mil :)
What was the company you were really excited about but didn’t prepare for?
google meet? which one?
I'm not sure what you're asking - can you rephrase?
Google analytics or plausible
I've only used GA, so I'm not sure which is better TBH
@@tylerdane-com make a video analyzing Google analytics 😉
Nice timing for me, I am studying the tech.
Perfect!
can't believe i'm just now discovering your channel 💙
The algorithm works in mysterious ways
This was a pretty interesting video to watch. Pls continue and break down more such saas applications!!
🫡
Oh I had also explored WebRTC part of meet
It's pretty cool!
Once tried making a Google meet clone and was using webrtc, this video is amazing. I am currently working on a notes app that should kinda be like Google Docs, would love to see a break down of that too.
Holy Shite my boy you are a gem.
thx bro
What’s next?
Discord maybe?
@@mouk3yDiscord is pretty simple actually
Nice 😮
Great Video
Thanks!
Big fan of this! Definitely wanna see more videos breakdown apps! :)
More to come!
Impressive work! I always thought Google Calendar was difficult, but it seems even harder than I expected.
it uses Wiz, the internal to google web framework
Ooooh, cool. Thanks for the heads up!
More importantly, what ring is that (left hand)? lol Edit- Real talk, this is what to do. I'm starting my coding journey for the thousandth time but aim to make everything open source.
This looks pretty sweet. Great work. I will have to check it out but low-key wanna build my own calendar, lol. Your other vids look cool, so subbed. Keep it up.
Do it!
What app should I breakdown next?

Thanks!
A tip to add to your reflection: go through your TH-cam watch history😉 Especially for interests and the things you’re procrastinating on.
👏 great attitude.
How do you motivate yourself after rejection?
Documentation hehehe
Son that's scripted bullshit. Your watching TV show right?
I definitely forgot that useEffect dependency array on purpose to deliver a message to AWS to charge me extra
Nice, Elliot has always inspired me

Glad i am debugged
Cool

I typed in something illicit and your GPT did not, in fact, say no.
uh oh
I need that facebook one but for discord lol

You can practically use a LLM model on your pc(if it has good enough specs), just try running oobabooga. Aitrepreneur has videos on how to make it uncensored, (like you can make the model write you a recipe to make a bomb, eg from the video)
I would love to train my own ANI to control access to my information that could more precisely market to what I might actually have interest.
I walked in my door to use my Google home routine, "I'm home" that turned my home settings to occupied. However, my phone with Gemini answered was well and proceeded to give me navigation to my home. 10 seconds later, Gemini said, "congratulations, you made it home".
Hello Tyler! Really appreciate your work! I am also interested in calendar topics for Web. Could you please send me a link to that 'VimCal' app (4:12) if it is possible?
I REALLY HATE THAT MATT DAVELO!!! WHO THE HELL IS HE ANYWAY??? He's a joke by asking some DUMßGAL named Anna instead of following the original system first then eventually adapt it to what convenient to him later!!! AND 30 DAY CHALLENGE yet he SPENT 4hours planing the entire year!!! ITS NOT 365 DAY CHALLENGE...NO WONDER THAT |D|0T GAVE UP!!!
What would your custom GPT do?
The Guthrie in Minneapolis!
Why do you keep allowing this person to speak his nonsense… this guy is everywhere he is a complete waste of time. Illogical.
Hi, are you looking for a Professional video editor ? share your email so i can show you my Portfolio & Previous work.
omg the minneapolis broll was such a pleasant surprise
3:41....I use a pocket field notebook for this tip..... scratch ideas, to do lists, inventory lists, quotes, appointments, contacts..etc. then transfer them all , nicely into my home bujo.
I really love your videos. Can I be your video editor?
I really wish I'd found your video earlier !! This is easily the best video that captures the essence of what bullet journaling is 🙌 and how to do it right. I started my own journey with bullet journaling with artsy spreads that I thought were a must and then realised how much of a perfectionist it was making me. Then I moved on to more minimal spreads but I would still get overwhelmed and couldn't journal consistently.I tried all kinds of spreads like the allastaire log & frankenlog which I love for their sheer Creativity. But I still fell of my habit. And in the past few days I've been contemplating Starting a bujo again , but felt really wary about getting overwhelmed.Untill I watched this video and realised that my problem was not identifying what exactly I even needed my Bujo for , I always made monthly spreads, calenders and to do lists and weekly logs because thats what I thought you were supposed to do. I was still too locked into what people told me Bullet journaling looked like for them after years of trial and error , but I never did that for mystery and just assumed that their final evolved and tweaked spreads would work for me. Now Im eager to start it from scratch again and will be following your advice, that is starting from rapid logging for a few days and then making an experimental spread for 1 week ONLY and reviewing what worked and what didnt in for that spread as well as myself in my life. I feel like I'm definitely going to come back and refer to your video in the future too. You got yourself another subscriber !☺️☺️
So glad you liked it and are giving it another shot! I think there are a lot of us who've felt the same way
