I realize that this video is a year old. However it’s always good to hear and see someone’s ideas and way of doing maintenance on the rv’s.
Thank you for sharing. You did a wonderful job explaining and showing your way.

Great video..

Great information

I just did ours last month, you gave some great tips now I have to go back and look at my bottom molding 😂, thank you for the tips
Like I said on the video the bottom molding seems to be the one a lot of people miss it must be an out of sight out of mind thing, to be honest when I first got our RV I didn't think there was one underneath until I physically went under and took a look, hope you're doing well and I appreciate your commenting
Love your channel. And yes, I just subscribed. 👍
We just ordered a new rig and it will be our first foray into a slide. Great advice!!
TFordF150 congratulations exciting days are coming, as long as you keep preventative maintenance on your sliders they will be just fine, rose and I can't thank you enough for subscribing to the channel, you have to let us know how your first time out goes we wish you the best of luck and have fun, and once again thank you for commenting we hope to see you next time
@@RVFieldTrip thank you and you’re welcome!
Like they say “take of it and it will take care of you”. This will be our 3rds trailer. I’ve been told the build date on our new one is tomorrow 3/18 and we should be able to take delivery next week.
I’ve babied our current 2012 and she still looks amazing!
Thanks for the video. Washing off the rubber slides with a good soap especially the top seal before hand. The leaves and sticks will scratch and make burrs in the seals. Cleaning the top and side seals before closing the slides of debris will prevent problems. Thanks again
scotsmanofnewengland7713, those are some great tips and thank you for sharing them, we wanna thank you for commenting
Very nice video...... 👍 💞 ✔️
Thank you Mas Beb, appreciate the compliment and comment
Subscribed & thumbs upped 👍
Thank you krisg3984, for Subscribed & thumbs upped 👍, looking forward to hearing from you in the future
Good tips 👍. Merri
Glad you like them!
One thing that wasn't mentioned (and your RV may not have them) but on the inside of the slide face, the gaskets that seal the inside when the slide is out, are saggy and hang loosely along the inside face of the slide. Those need to be checked as well.
Good video!
Thank you for the information, you notice it online but that is a great hand, thank you for commenting we appreciate it
Seems like some good tips. I’ve no doubt keeping up good routine maintenance is important. But I gotta say, I’m really glad we don’t have to deal with any of that. We’re kinda lazy 😂
Yeah but it's all worth it in the end, LOL "We’re kinda lazy" you guys are far from lazy remember I watch your videos, thank you for commenting
Hello, just wondering how you treat your seals on top under the slide toppers?
Great question timallen1262, I use an adjustable pole with a rag on the end to get under the slide toppers, it's actually really easy and worked out very well for us, thank you for commenting
My RV has been sitting a bit and is full of cobwebs, dirt, and wasp nests under the slides. Any tip on how to remove wasp nest and once removed, can I spray the underside with water to remove dirt and cobwebs before doing this maintenance? Also, I applied seal conditioner to black seals but found a white foam like material on front of slide that leaves chalky white residue. Is this normal? It looks dry and cracking. Thank you for your video. I need to do all these things.
I personally would not spray water underneath if you use the spray that I have in the description, you can use a rag and it will clean it up just fine. Or use a damp cloth to wipe off all the dirt and cobwebs, good luck and let us know how it works out
Can you please show us how you did your top seals slides with the the toppers on ?? Thanks great video..
I use a broom handle with a rag on it just spray the product onto the rag, but you're right I should have shown that in the video, we thank you very much for commenting and thanks again for showing my mistake LOL, we'll see you next time
@@RVFieldTrip Thanks for your reply and sharing. Maybe you could show us a quick link for this project so all could see exactly how this is done.. Thanks Again GC
@@georgecole1311 unfortunately I didn't film that part but next time I do one I will, and thank you for the comment
@@RVFieldTrip can you please tell me which one it is ??? Thanks 😊
@@georgecole1311 I didn't put that on the video nor did I film it but like I mentioned before I will make one and let you know
Make sure it says RV on the can so you spend 10 more dollars to do the exact same thing. ..
Isn't that the truth I've noticed it myself even down to the toilet paper they try to sell you, thank you for your comment and have a great day
When i bought mine used , my seals are twisted , rolled dry and coming off
It shows the importance of maintaining them they're not that cheap to re-do, hope you were able to fix them, thanks for commenting and stay safe out there
RV silicon lube not recommended for schwintech slide
Thank you for the information we appreciate you commenting
Poor light and pictures on demonstration
You are absolutely right and I do thank you for your suggestions
Bit of a pedantic comment 👍

Timtank, give the guy a break! He only has 2 hands and one is holding the camera steady. He is a mechanic and a generous part time photographer. Thanks for your effort! I subscribed!
Baby powder the seals was recommended to me.
I'll have to look into that I've never heard baby powder the seals, thank you very much for your comment
