Lol
Do you suggest using a water pressure regulator?
Yes we do absolutely, like I mentioned on the video we had left ours behind at the prior campsite and have since purchased a new one, like the old saying goes better safe than sorry
@@RVFieldTrip Thanks, my apologies! I was watching your video muted at work before our first camping trip 😂
👍 👍
Thank you, and we appreciate you commenting especially the thumbs up have a great day
Great information!
We appreciate it, and we thank you very much for commenting have a great day
Man .... I watched your entire video i am in a very similar situation, thanks for sharing...just one humble recommendation.dont eat too much on the street,, use your stove more and take care of yourself...exercise and healthy eating is key
Yeah yeah yeah I know I know rose tells me that everyday she's even having me eat what I consider to be fake meat LOL, I do appreciate the concern and your recommendation but since that video I have lost 50 lbs because of the fake meat LOL, we and especially rose thank you for commenting hope you have a great day and stay safe out there
What is the run time under load with full tank of gasoline
Under a full load running everything in the RV we've been lasting about 9 hours if not a little longer on one tank, I hope this answers your question have a good day
In the real world, how many hours does a tank last with a load on the predator
It lasts us at least 9 hours running AC and the RV but it also has lasted as long as 11 to 12 hours, but honestly with a full load you will last at least nine hours I know we haven't had to get up at night to refill it, hopes this helps and have a great day
This week my wife and I (young thirties with two under two and three husky fur balls) picked up our first toy hauler. 28ft double axle and are so excited. We are a motocross racing family and are sick of the tent camping at the race tracks! We also love camping with our huskies. This video helped remind me of the things my parents taught me as a kid about our camper. Thank you so much, Rose is my mother maiden name, so pretty. Have a wonderful week and thank you RV Community for your help!
I agree rose is a beautiful name when I met my wife she was the first person I ever met with the name rose, a very heartfelt congratulations on your new toy hauler RV now you got a place to keep your bikes and a place you can call home to rest after a day of motocrossing which by the way sounds like fun and a place to keep your Huskies cool and your kids comfortable it is like a home away from home, again rose and I congratulate you and let us know how it goes the first time out we look forward to hearing from you again thank you for commenting have a great day and stay safe out there
This video is great
Glad you liked it, and we thank you very much for commenting hope you have a great day

can I drive down the road with generator full of gas not running and when I go to start it will it turn right over without it being flooded
I don't know of any law Nora have I heard of one saying I cannot drive with a generator with gas in it, our generator has never gotten flooded from going from campsite to campsite
Fantastic presentation, subscribed
We're glad you liked the video, but we wanna thank you very much for subscribing hope you have a great day thank you

@@Dadoftwins48 we're glad your first camping trip was a success, and you're already planning your next trip looks to us like you caught the RV bug LOL, we appreciate you keeping us updated and let us know how your next trip goes stay safe out there and have fun guys
You don't need to switch your breakers . your surge protector handles any surge. You are just wearing out your panel breakers. Think of your house. When you switch your main on, do you also switch on all your branch circuits? No, because your main is primary.
Well I never thought about that but you're probably right, we really do appreciate you commenting and letting us know have a great day
The only thing I would add… here in Oklahoma… you had best use a pressure regulator on your water at the hydrant… other than that… good job!!!
I agree like I mentioned in the video I had left my pressure regulator at the previous campsite, but you are absolutely right and we thank you for commenting have a great day
@@RVFieldTrip sorry, must have missed that part of your video…. It’s all good
@@davidwilliams-qm2lm you don't have to apologize cause you're right we all need to have one, I appreciate your comments

I'm grateful that I came across your video detailing the setup process. I found it very helpful. I just purchased my very first camper and I can't wait to get out there and start using it. Thank you.

Great video guys thank you for sharing.
We appreciate that, but we really wanna thank you for commenting we hope you have a great day
I agree with the 6x6 block but it should be going the long way to the trailer or front to back so if something happens the trailer can’t roll off the block.
you may be right thank you for commenting
Great video..
Thank you very much we're glad you liked the video but more so than that we appreciate you commenting and we hope you have a great day
Thank you
You are very welcome and we thank you for commenting have a great day
Make sure it says RV on the can so you spend 10 more dollars to do the exact same thing. ..
Isn't that the truth I've noticed it myself even down to the toilet paper they try to sell you, thank you for your comment and have a great day
You didn't mention the ESC throttle. If you turn that on, it will idle down the generator to match the needed output which makes it run much quieter. Obviously a load like the AC will cause it to throttle back up.
You are correct I did not mention that, and it does run quite a bit quieter and runs the RV perfectly even with AC, we thank you for your comment I'm bringing that point up I hope you have a great day and we appreciate you commenting
Where the water hose connects to the camper you should support that connection in some way. That's a lot of stress on that connection. It may be good now but over time it will weaken the plastic connection.
You are 100% correct, I have purchased the 45 degree attachment to hook up at the RV, thank you for bringing up this point I hope you have a great day and thank you for commenting
My Wife and I like Your tutorials.❤️✝️🇺🇸
Wow thank you very much, and my wife and I like your comment have a great day and stay safe out there
Great job.but dont you need jell coat? Thanks
You may be right but I believe it turned out fantastic especially for someone who's never done it before, we thank you and also thank you for commenting
The trailer hitch is not properly configured for the tow vehicle
I believe it is I've had it checked twice, thank you for your comment
Nice job

I agree - we've learned electricity & surge protector first. Saved lots of grief of having to move after all, else is done.
Great comment thank you
Thanks grampa. Whole lotta useful info in here!
You are very welcome Joshfprox27, and we appreciate you commenting, now how did you know I was a grandpa LOL
Lol, campsite. If it comes with a curfew it's not a campsite.
Isn't that the truth LOL
your trying to tell us the dos and donts? you trailer is nose low when connected to your truck, lol. you want it level or slightly nose high, hahaha
Our RV is not nose low when connected it might be the angle of the camera but it is not

SHOULD GET A WATER PRESSURE REGULATOR AND A 90 ELBO FOR WATER AT RV CITY WATER CONNECTOR
You're right as I mentioned in the video we had left the regulator at the previous campsite and since I've been replaced, also the 90° elbow I did pick up, thank you for commenting
Great video! Just bought a new camper for my family of 6. Want to bond in a different way with wife and kids and very excited to start. Thanks for building my confidence on the setup process.
If you never had an RV before you going to absolutely love it every time we go out we always say we need to do it more often, it absolutely is a great bonding experience, as far as setting it up it's only nerve wracking the first time just take your time and you'll do just fine, we thank you very much for commenting and congratulations on your new RV
Nails? Lol you mean rebar. That's like calling a drill a stapler. Cmon man.
Yeah you're exactly right, thanks for your comment
My wife and I bought our 1st camper. Thanks for the tips
Congratulations on your camper and we're glad you enjoyed the video, we thank you very much for commenting good luck and stay safe out there
There's a difference between water pressure and water flow. Turning the knob on the faucet restricts flow but does not stop the pressure. Once all your pipes are filled with water the pipes will be at the same pressure as the line feeding into the faucet absent a pressure regulator.
You're exactly right and we thank you for your comment
Another great video, guys.
Thanks once again Stephen Shea, have a great day and stay safe out there
This video was great. Thank you for this. I am now a subscriber.
We're glad you liked the video but first and foremost we thank you very very much for being a new subscriber and also commenting on the video we hope to talk to you next time
This helped me so much!! But I am a little confused when it comes to the water. I only have a hot water heater switch on the panel inside the RV. Not sure if that matters? Also, this may be a dumb question but…. How do I know my hot water heater is full? Thank you in advance! 😊
I'm not a professional but I can tell you how we do it, what we do is we make sure our water heater is off when we're not hooked up to water then when we're ready to turn it on first thing we do after hooked up to water source is run the hot water taps inside the RV until all the bubbles are out you should have a steady stream of water coming out your hot water tab then we turn on our water heater, another way we do it is on the outside where your water heater is there should be a pressure valve what we would do is open it up until you see no more air coming out, that's what we would do but we normally do the water spigot on the inside until normal bubbles come out that's our preferred way, again this is only how we do it but good luck hope this helps you and thank you very much for commenting
Thank you!! Great video!!
we're glad you found it helpful and we thank you very much for commenting
👍should be a food safe hose, but I put the filter at the tap source to keep the hose free from cr@p that will fester inside your hose over time.
It's funny how many people do it one way or the other, we like the filter connected to the RV instead of the spicket that way we don't get the hose taste or smell also just a little bit of water that stays in there has a bad smell to it if you don't use it for over a week, but I also believe whatever makes you feel more comfortable is the way you ought to do it, we thank you very much for commenting and sharing your thoughts on it, also the hose we use is food safe
