Atlus game has been great as of late but the story has been consistently crap.
However the gameplay is so good I seriously wish they got xenoblade level writers then their game would be godly.

I would agree. A xenoblade level story to accompany the gameplay would definitely escalate the game to new heights.
However, I don't think it's as bad as that. In my Opinion, SMTV Vengeance was pretty good, and Metaphor was really good.
All that to say, comparatively, the story is weak, absolutely. Standing on it's own, it serves its purpose, and I don't really hold it against it.

the story is kind of shit and this game deserved a better one, especially after the brilliant 13 Sentinels. It's all about art style, combat and collecting characters like pokemon. Still fun tho

To be honest this game don't really bring anything new to the genre and the story is really classic but it was a treat to play the art-style is wonderful.
Especially after played FE Engage i was so disappointed by the story that Unicorn Overlord felt like what Engage should've been.
Yeah great game and Goty among the t-rpg.
