@@itz_ic21gaming97 personally, I think people would’ve found reasons to go to war outside of religion. Whether for land, power, money, or other types of materialistic reasons. Religion can play a part in it, that’s definitely true, but I don’t personally subscribe to the idea religion is the sole, or even primary cause of war. But, thanks for being normal and leaving an actual, coherent discussion.

​@@IsaIslanderOf course religion is not a sole of every conflict that had happened in human history. And of course religion is part of it in grand scheme of things. I mean I wasn't the one who said that it's south park. South Park had pointed out the hypocritical part of religion the fear that religion tries to instill in people and it's manipulation and radicalism of every religion.

So just out of curiosity, what would be a better tax system to follow? I’d be fine with making the income tax a flat percentage across the board. But this isn’t primarily about taxes. Despite the supposedly strong job market, many American families still find it difficult to afford the necessities in this economy. But when the same money is taxed multiple times through income tax, capital gains taxes, property taxes, etc. what is the incentive to even work at that point? Besides, what is inflation if not just a hidden tax that hurts everyone?

@@IsaIslander I specifically noted that the top one percent because they are the only tax group that is not taxed the same as anyone else. Those below the top 1% are paying their fair share in the progressive tax system, however, those in the 1% have a majority % of their income that is not currently able to be taxed. You are also right about inflation, but I somewhat believe the inflation is of bubble like effect where the prices continue to rise without anything to actually help continue the rise then belief that it should rise (meaning there has been no change in input price to produce a good). For example, McDonalds, in there age of higher prices for bad food they are having to rethink raising prices as consumers have realized that the price is too high. If that were to happen on a national scale it could mean the bubble bursting and a recession.

@@pengu2761 I can see what you’re saying, but if these people In the 1% don’t have their money as a form of income, then how do we tax them? Let’s say for arguments sake that someone has an income of $5M. That number is then income taxed at 3%. That money yielded to the government is still far higher than most other income brackets. I’d have to re-check this, but if I remember correctly, the top 50% pay about 90% of federal taxes. So I ask, what would be a “fair share”? Like mentioned before, I think we could agree on a flat income tax across the board, but I’m not for things like wealth taxes or unrealized gains taxes. As for the point about McDonald’s, I actually haven’t heard of that, so if you have any sources regarding that, I’d love to take a look. But I will say a big thank you for engaging with me on this topic. It’s what makes doing TH-cam worthwhile.

Ditto. I am making money hand over fist. And it has nothing to do with who is currently president. If these people cared at all, they would know that Trump increased the deficit by 6.7T in only 4 years, and engaged in trading sanctions that cost the American people billions. Oh yeah, and they also printed trillions of dollars during his presidency, so people think Trump is some sort of god but don't realize it is that very same money that is now contributing to inflation. Whatever.

Thanks for the comment! I would like to know how we're defining economic growth, are we using GDP, CPI, Job Growth, or a mix of everything? I agree that generally, Trump performed better than biden, but I'm uncertain why we would use the global economy as a comparison point. Sure, the global economy is important, but most normal american families aren't highly concerned with other countries economies. If we're just talking inflation in isolation, then if the rest of the world did better than trump, and if world economies are dependent on each other, does that mean Trump had a part to play there too? Regardless, thanks for interacting, don't get that much.
