6:40. The way James' jaw just drops. That just made the whole story seem so cool to me. I was born two years before the series started, so I was probably four or five when Tara and Willow were together. My point is that I've grown up in this world where people are acknowledging that it's okay to be gay, and so us teens don't really recognize how difficult it once was and how much has changed in ten years. Amber explains the prop guy's speech so well. Very inspiring.
i really miss the buffy&angel universe. i hope joss whedon decides to revive the universe by creating a new vampire slayer show one day. they could create a show that exclusively follows a new slayer while giving updated on all are favorite vampires, (angel, spike, harmony, drusillia) and possibly have guest appearances from buffy cast members. (oz, spike, faith, buffy, giles, willow, xander, dawn, etc ) they could even make a show that changes the focus to a new slayer every season.
They made a movie where they played off of their natural chemistry in "Strictly Sexual" a low budget indie made by Amber Benson and it had members from Angel and Buffy in it. In fact it was sort a "friends and co-workers" film project. It was really solid, imo. Especially for first-time efforts, shoestring budget, etc. She had great talent to work with, the most important part.
Also, what is the girl saying to Amber around the 21 minute mark that makes her do that adorable hugging-her-head thing? Annnd what was James's answer to the last question? I guess it's noticeable that I'm hearing impaired hahaha.
It'd be VERY hard to reconcile that with what has happened in the comic book continuity (which is directly overseen by Joss). That said, a Spike series would be totally ripe and right for the picking. There are THOUSANDS of slayers out there, none are being called anymore. Magic is gone from the world after the end of S8, Angel and Faith are a team now (which is awesome and one of those "took ya long enough" moments). Spike re-joined the scoobies for a stint but is now on his own.
James could totally still play Spike. Especially with today's makeup, prosthetic, CGI, etc. I'd be totally down for a Spike TV show, where we'd occaisonaly get Angel and Buffy, though we'd likely need both of them for the first episode (the comics explained what happened after "Not Fade Away." In a few words: Illiyria, Gunn, Angel, and Spike all kicked serious ass, and Angel made a friend of the most powerful creature summoned, the Dragon, it was neat, something you wouldn't see on TV @thetime)
On a podcast I heard Julie benz say that Joss Wheedon made the entire cast promise that they would never watch the buffy movie, so it's likely none of them have ever seen it, that must make it even more awkward for her. I personally really liked the movie.
Which means he's perfect for a Spike series, which would be the most interesting. Guest appearances or possibly even a co-starring spot with Faith would be excellent, they could have it take place a few years after Buffy S9 and Angel and Faith, or have Faith come over semi-regularly. I always felt that Spike and Faith would have been great together, all that aside, Spike has become his own man and icon that he doesn't need to be tethered to anyone. Though Illiyria would make for an interesting-
Partner, plus she would be significantly more powerful than Spike. Which would add to the cool-factor of Spike finding ways to overcome her when she has her freakouts. Several of his minis could be used as storyarcs. James is certainly still in great shape and any aging can be fixed via makeup and maybe a tad CGI. Faith and Angel and Spike would be my dream show, with Buffy occaisonally guest-starring.
Kristy Swanson may have played Buffy in the Movie ,but it's Sarah Michelle Gellar who portrayed Buffy on the TV show ,Who was so much better than Kristy .Don't get me wrong ,I like her ,but Sarah made a way better Buffy
i feel so sorry for kristy swanson, because she is so out of place here. it's not even her fault because she could have been a cool buffy 4 years earlier if 20th century fox didn't force joss whedon to change the tone of the movie.
Amber looks like she hasn;'t aged at all, Claire actually looks younger and prettier than she did on Buffy, James is starting to age. Maybe spending all that time at conventions flirting with any girl who appeared under 18 is starting to get to him.
I don't give a damn if he's aged or not. I look at James Marsters with slick hair, and i see Spike.
Wow, Amber Benson looks stunning with that hair cut.
i wasn't supposed to like Spike?
BLOODY HELL I LOVE HIM
"Out for a walk, bitch"... never gets old
Master the Buffy Slayer, lol! Brilliant.

Amber looks exactly the same!
Oh, so this is why The Master was so charismatic! Mark is quite charismatic himself!
21:35 - 21:45 so sweet... Amber Benson is very cute and charming person. Her character Tara is also lovely and gentle.
One of the best panels I've seen. Mark was amazing !!!
Mark Metcalf!!! This is someone who you don't see often at a Con
What an unfortunate last name!
I'd totally watch Master the Buffy Slayer
Master the Buffy Slayer.
I miss Buffy :(
omg that thing amber does after she gets told she has the most beautiful singing voice in the whole world!
I've never seen Mark on a panel before. So cool!

"Out for a walk. Bitch." Hahaha, my favorite too!

Amber is so beautiful!
She really is
Kristy Swanson....
Reminds me of when Bing Crosby and David Bowie did the Little Drummer Boy duet.
I AM SO HAPPY! MY TOP 3 EPS ARE IN AMBER'S TOP 4 EPS!!!
the happiness is real!
oh God, Amber is just sooooo cute
ambr;s speach around 7min was beautirul
James looked surprised when he found out the prop guy was gay
apparantly they made a complete hatchet job of joss whedons original buffy movie script although i've not watched it so this is pure speulation
The O.G. Buffy from the movie? What an awesome surprise! They all look amazing
Thanks I just copied and pasted from the Philly Con site. Clare replaced Juliet last minute.
Thank you very much! :)
Also, what is the girl saying to Amber around the 21 minute mark that makes her do that adorable hugging-her-head thing? Annnd what was James's answer to the last question? I guess it's noticeable that I'm hearing impaired hahaha.
Lol Mark is so funny.
That's not Juliet Landau, that's Clare Kramer (Glory)
This is great! Thanks for uploading it. But what does James say after they attempt to sing Walk Through the Fire? "I'm sorry, I suck at..."
Glory was the best baddie...
Oooohhh... that explains the joke she made in the first part about cosplaying as juliet landau. I thought I had missed something. >.
She told Amber that she had "the best singing voice in the whole world". ^_^
wait ... there was a buffyfest?

Who's the chick on the far right? 🤷♀️🤷♂️

Umm hello we have Melaka Fray (although she's a futuristic slayer)
I feel like such a nerd when I watch this, but I don't even care!
embarce ur inner nerd! thats what i do lol
Hey, maestro!
Kristy looks so awkward there, I feel sorry for her.
haha james's face at 13:19

4:05 ... I really do like James hahaha xD
Kinda sad no one amounted to anything after Buffy. Except Anthony
What Amber says at 1:10?
Awww.
Kristy Swanson may have played Buffy in the Movie ,but it's Sarah Michelle Gellar who portrayed Buffy on the TV show ,Who was so much better than Kristy .Don't get me wrong ,I like her ,but Sarah made a way better Buffy
Clare Kramer is quite cute...............
Why is Kristy there wtf
Totally agree.
"... or was it just like, she's a witch, she's a lesbian, she likes puppies..." (it's all the same) HA, good phrasing of that question.
i feel so sorry for kristy swanson, because she is so out of place here. it's not even her fault because she could have been a cool buffy 4 years earlier if 20th century fox didn't force joss whedon to change the tone of the movie.
thats y it says that!
who the heck is Clare
Sarah Alton glory
Glory
Kristy Swanson.... She was great in Flowers in the Attic, but she don't belong here.
*sensing... not "getting" lol
What the .. ?! I prefer James Marsters when he was young ... ^_^
its not just you lol
kristy swanson doesn't play buffy and she wasn't there
Swanson is a bit out of place
James is finally showing his age. Guess he isn't immortal after all.
is it just me or am I getting a douchey attitude from the MC guy? xD
because the CW sucks i think they should try to get the show on amc.
Amber looks like she hasn;'t aged at all, Claire actually looks younger and prettier than she did on Buffy, James is starting to age. Maybe spending all that time at conventions flirting with any girl who appeared under 18 is starting to get to him.
hes like 60 chill
