With that, I love Sarah and she has been my idol since i was 7 so I am very happy to know we have another thing in common.
@emissary35 the bruises were caused in Helpless but this looks like the interviews were conducted during The Zeppo, the following episode. Which makes sense since Sarah, David etc had smaller roles due to the story being about Xander :)

@4:05 "It was very important that Buffy be the kind of girl that girls could look up to and relate to..." It was perfect. (Did have some failings in the rape-joke, non-slayer-female-empowerment area, though.) I didn't catch them when I was younger.

Can someone help me? I'm trying to find an interview with Joss where he talks about "The Body" and the process of making it, the ideas etc. I watched it a couple. years ago but I can't find it anywhere now :(
this is so great! I love this show today and watch pretty much once a year. Including Angel. :) But Sarah "Talk about blowing a job..." tallk about not thinking about what your saying. haha.
Sadly, he wasn't/isn't and this fact nearly killed this whole universe for me which I've always cherished from the depths of my heart. His behaviour and mindset mocks everything what Buffy/Angel is about. Let the message of the Buffyverse transcend the real-life actions of its creator and stand out on its own. I truly hope that there will never be a reboot with Whedon involved in any way.
@@rohezalvomambo1208 I continue to cherish all of it. As I strongly believe that Joss as a flawed human being (just like all of us) is trying his best to redeem himself. I hope that the people that were pointing the finger in his direction might also learn something about their own role and the much bigger powers that were there at the time.
@@rohezalvomambo1208 I think the truth of the controversies lie somewhere in between, not everything is black and white. Not trying to be an apologist for Joss, and I know I'm opening myself up for backlash here and shouldn't bother posting this, but I don't think it was as cut and dry as some ppl think. The interview he finally did was honest and he didn't shy away from admitting mistakes, while also correcting cases where he didn't believe the full truth was out there. I think it's a case of power corrupting - however much of a monster he became, he didn't start out that way. Even here, in S2-3, he's mostly just a nerdy screenwriter-turned-showrunner, who was given full control of everything. There are two sides to every story and no one is perfect, including Charisma and Ray Fisher. And I think we can all agree they aren't the best actors out there, so blaming Joss for all their professional problems as if Joss blacklisted them seems disingenuous. Cyborg was one of the least popular JLA characters, long before the movie, so blaming Joss for not highlighting him more is a stretch. Of course if all their claims are 100% accurate, then it's absolutely not acceptable, and yes there are other accounts of shady behavior, but I think we can all agree objectively that there are far more staff and actors in his movies, series, shorts (and watch-parties at his house with the cast) who didn't report any wrong-doing than who did. Anyway, I love his shows, so I'm clearly biased, but anyone can see that his mistakes don't compare to Weinstein's, and he's not constantly unapologetic and doubling-down like JKR, who I defended for a bit too, thinking her defense of women wasn't an attack on Trans at first, or defiant but clearly guilty, like Spacey. I compare Joss's mistakes to those of others during metoo, who's careers ended, but who admitted their mistakes and showed regret, like Spurlock, Louis CK, and Al Franken. I think we might also reasonably agree that, for a while there, metoo cases that came up were never questioned, people piled on maybe a bit too fast, before getting all the info and the other person's side. Perhaps a bit too quick to believe everything anyone said, but maybe my current mental state is one that people should question things first, because the Harris/Trump debate just happened and Trump brought up people eating cats and dogs, with zero evidence. To quote Bryan Cranston, when asked on the topic of redemption: "It would take time," he said. "It would take a society to forgive them, and tremendous contrition on their part … a knowingness that they have a deeply rooted psychological and emotional problem [that] takes years to mend. If they were to show they put the work in and are truly sorry and making amends, not defending their actions but asking for forgiveness, then maybe down the road there is room for that, maybe so."

The show. "Helpless" is the name of the episode I believe.
really miss this show :(
I will be always grateful Joss for such fantastic, EPIC show. More than 10 years, and I am still a huge fan and love to rewatch the show from time to time.
Wow, Sara can speak VERY fast:)). But adore her anyway.
This was the helpless episode ♡😊
I love David's little smirk at 11:24:
"...I probably will turn bad"
7:24 settles the discussion on another video of Sunnydale’s location. It is NOT Sunnyvale in Northern California.
(Now, if I can only find that other discussion to link to this.)
(*sighs* and wipes glasses)
if you listen to Sarah talk it is very New Yorker, not the accent but the speed in which she talks. I do the exact same thing and I know people have a hard time following me sometimes just because I rush through everything I have to say. With that, I love Sarah and she has been my idol since i was 7 so I am very happy to know we have another thing in common.
Well she was born in new York
just finished season 3 too good, cant wait to start angel.
7:27 in Angel, it's said to be north of LA.
Who's here after the interview with him smh
@emissary35 the bruises were caused in Helpless but this looks like the interviews were conducted during The Zeppo, the following episode. Which makes sense since Sarah, David etc had smaller roles due to the story being about Xander :)
2013 and watching Buffy on Netflix everyday :)
All glory to the Whedon
he always seems in a mood.
It's makeup for an episode she was doing for Buffy. "help" i believe was the name of the episode.
this is so awesome
Joss Whedon succeeded in making me speak like the characters, I've been watching the show over and over for 5 years and i can't stop speaking like them. I honestly don't know where i end and Buffy begins :P
isn't this from a C-Band feed? we need some more cast interviews (Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Boreanaz, Charisma Capenter, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan) especially the ones from season 2!
I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the algorithm brought this clip up now.
ahh this show is my life!!
@4:05 "It was very important that Buffy be the kind of girl that girls could look up to and relate to..." It was perfect. (Did have some failings in the rape-joke, non-slayer-female-empowerment area, though.) I didn't catch them when I was younger.
What do you mean?
I loved this show so badly!!! it was the best teen show ever! full of surprises and very funny... i cried several times especially when she had to kill Nagel after he got his soul back, when Angel left to LA... great great great show!!!!!!!!!!
Liked.before watching it
Can someone help me? I'm trying to find an interview with Joss where he talks about "The Body" and the process of making it, the ideas etc. I watched it a couple. years ago but I can't find it anywhere now :(
this is so great! I love this show today and watch pretty much once a year. Including Angel. :) But Sarah "Talk about blowing a job..." tallk about not thinking about what your saying. haha.
What do you mean ?
I wish this mild-mannered, sincere guy was who Joss was all the time.

I think the truth of the controversies lie somewhere in between, not everything is black and white.
To quote Bryan Cranston, when asked on the topic of redemption:
"It would take time," he said.
6:33 that sounds like something Xander would say :D
