      Don't expect any official changes until LMDE-7 comes out.

    To change icons and themes downloaded is just go to your home/your folder crtl+h keyboard and paste icons on .icons and themes on .themes folders

    Still my favourite Distro, and this Beta runs fine, even on an old Surface Pro 3 of 2015 vintage. The only "down" comments I'd have are rounded corners at the top and square corners on the bottom of a window is just half-baked and weird. Also the fancy "dialogue" boxes are just fluff, and if you are going this route, why not the log-in box as well?

    If KDE Plasma keeps breaking I might go to Linux Mint I think Cinnamon desktops are more stable than KDE my desktop environment keeps breaking so I am looking around for something else for some reason the taskbar likes to have a stroke.

      @matyasmarkkovacs8336 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      That's the reason I choose Fedora Cinnamon. KDE 6 is too buggy.

      @@matyasmarkkovacs8336 I thought it would be cool using KDE was getting a kick out of it but themes barely work and have a stroke it might be XFCE or Cinnamon in the future though Linux is getting good I wish browsers like Opera GX would work this is why I dual boot for physical performance it's not bad but the whole thing glitches and freezes making it impossible to use.

      Cinnamon just works. I use it on my Arch machine and Mint on my dual boot so I can still play games (shout out LOL addiction lol)
      Between it and XFCE4 I don't see much better.
      i3 is a nice window manager too. Just depends on what you want I guess.

    Linux needs to figure out the anti cheat thing so I can switch forever

      You'd think that either the Xbox or the PS5, since everything connects via USB, give the user the option to game with a keyboard instead of the standard d-pad controller. Then you could run AAA games on the console and 'feel" like you're gaming on a PC. This could be an option to get away from Windows.

      That isn't a Linux thing, it's a developer-rejects-Linux-as--platform thing.
      Choose which games to support and enjoy accordingly.

      Write your lawmakers and get kernel level anti cheat banned.

    It looks like Linux is at war on "redundant" and "unnecessary" file systems. BCacheFS, ZFS and RaiserFS are virtually dropped under various excuses. Moreover, now there is a "regression" that makes the use of NTFS troublesome. A passable excuse for dropping it as well. What's remained? The standard ext234 and BTRFS that corrupts its RAID volumes.

    • @javabeanz8549
      @javabeanz8549 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      BCache has a developer problem, and was suspended from updates in one kernel version. Reiser is out of date, the developer is in prison, and is onboard with the removal. And if most of the users are NOT using ZFS, why waste time with it?

    • @dead_art
      @dead_art วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@javabeanz8549 I've already said that in each case there are excuses made. Most users are NOT using Linux, why waste time with it?

    Did you just describe the night light functions backwards, or did I hear it backwards? Also, I've told you before, "author", but it is "depricated", not "depreciated." Look it up, "Proffesor".

    Are they EVER going to fix their crappy installer trashing your Windows EFI partition? This bug has existed for years now, and Mint devs just keep ignoring it.

      Mint hasn't trashed the Windows EFI partition on my PC. I've installed it several times with different releases, and each time it has seen Windows and added it to the GRUB menu. Windows on the other hand........😭🤬

      Trashing a Windows partition? I call that a bonus and a WIN.
