    I have 2 Corsair QL140 fans on a Lighting Node Core. I also have a Razer (USB) Black Widow Chroma V2 keyboard. When my computer boots up, the Corsair fans go to the static color I chose for them, but quickly change to a different color in various shades, and remains static. I have ordered a Commander Pro module along with 4 LED light strips and a Lighting Node Pro, but do not have them just yet. Have I not set something up correctly, do I need the Commander Pro to make the fans work properly, or are these fans just not compatible with Razer's software running??

    • @piratedogtech5910
      @piratedogtech5910 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You won't need the Commander Pro to control the RGB on the fans - the Lighting Node Core that you have will do that just fine. Now, you certainly *can* use a CoPro and it'll give you fan speed control (that you don't get the the Lighting Node Core) but you'll also need to get an RGB Fan LED Hub.
      Now, what you are describing sounds like a switch from the hardware profile (which is limited to what the small MCUs on the devices can do) and a software profile. You can set these up separately in iCUE.

    • @TechLens
      @TechLens  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, thanks for weighing in.
      You can with some fans, but if you have to configure it as LL or QL fans (for more LEDs) - the LED path isn't in order.
      HD120s (12 LEDs) for example, would work though the fan configuration though bacuase of how the LEDs are arranged.

    • @pheelix-
      @pheelix- 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will have to do some testing myself, but Corsair added a Fan rotation feature when you hover over the fans in the lighting configuration tab. When they are rotated in there it changes the LED path order on the fan. The only fans that can not do this are the non Pro SP RGB Fans.

    I have a MALE, 4 pin rgb item that can change color. Im trying to connect that to ICUE commander or my fan hub, but I cant seem to find the adapter for that specific setup. Do I have to change the male to female, then find a female adapter that goes to dupont? So confused.

  • @coltjames4322

    I'm honestly just so confused after watching this. I currently have 6 corsair fans going into a core controller, which has 6 slots. I also have a thermaltake aio with a coolermaster fan piggybacked into that that I wanted to plug into the spare core controller I have. Now I've also bought a Lian Li 24 pin and triple 8 pin rgb strimer to get hooked up and I was going to connect the lian li controller to the spare core controller as well. All that was difficult enough, and now I need to figure out which adapter to use? Or perhaps multiple adapters? I followed the links provided to amazon, but that just confused me, because I was thinking after watching the video that I needed the 4 pin (because core controller) but amazon description of that, if I was even looking at the right one, said it doesn't work with the lian li pro strimer, just the old model. So honestly, I'm completely lost. And I haven't even gotten to the hard part of trying to understand how to program everything in iCue, which I can barely understand even the basics of in the first place :P

    Mystic Light is great? This piece of crap software can't even change the color of the MSi screen I have. I've tried registering both my screen and 3080 Suprim graphics card on both their app and their website, neither worked. MSi is the shittiest service provider I've seen for high end products in a loooooooooooong time

    How would I configure fans that 6 LEDs in ICUE, I'm actually going using the spec delta rgb fans with a AarrRGB dac to control those fans through icue. If I can't do it then I'll just buy more corsair fans

    OMG girls girls girls...just standardize the damn RGB thing already! If there's one thing that would work is to get off your high horse and STANDARDIZE the damn system. This is basically RGB racism with all these cross platforms....We buy motherboards that are supposed to work.....make them WORK.

    each cable costs 10 dollars so to adapt all my 4 fans it would be 40 dollars, but buying a pack with 5 fans new fans is 50 dollars, and a full pc case with the compatibly rgb is around 100-150 dollars.

    • @enrico6508
      @enrico6508 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Okay... I think I get it (after watching 💯 times xD)
      So basically you CAN connect ANY argb strip you want if it has under 60 LEDs... If it has over 60 you have to tell icue "hey! Those aren't strips those are fans!" And then you can controll all BUT you are limited by the fan modes??? Am I right?

    • @enrico6508
      @enrico6508 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Uh AND I'm planning on buying the rgb fan hub (the one with 6 rgb port's) ...
      My question is, if I plug 6 fans in there, will Corsair regret them as 6 separately? (So that you can control each of the separately)

    • @TechLens
      @TechLens  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@enrico6508 hey - glad you worked it out! 👍 ... But let me know if anything was unclear or if my explanation was poor - would be good to know for the future, to make better content for you guys.
      Almost - if the device has over 60 LEDs, you only need to set it up as fans to fill the entire strip - I believe the effects you can use are mostly unaffected. The only problem is, the highly sequential effects may run out of order. But if you set it up as 6 HD120 fans (12 LEDs each) than you can get the sequential working by changing the order of the fans in software (other fans with 100% sequential effect accuracy likely won't work due to their LED arrangement).
      Yep you could do that, but to get it working properly, you want the LED count of the fan you're plugging in to match, or be lower, than the Corsair fan your assigning. As in, if your 6 CoolerMaster fans (example) have 12 LEDs and you setup 6 HD120s - that should work perfectly. Or if they have 10 LEDs, again, setup as HD120s and turn off the last 2 LEDs for each fan in software.
      But if the fans have 14LEDs, it will basically steal 2 LEDs from the next output and keep going till the last fan is missing some LEDs.
      Hope this was clear 👍

    • @enrico6508
      @enrico6508 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Okay! First of a HUUUUUUGE thank you!!😀
      Well... The first thing is clear now! (Thx btw.!!!!!!!)
      The second not really... Lemme explain EXACTLY
      I want to get 4 CORSAIR ll120...
      And I want to controll them via the rgb fan hub...
      NOW MY QUESTION: can I controll each of them SEPARATELY? What I mean by this is: let's say I only want to light up 1 of the 4... Is that possible?
      (Another explaining) I want to controll Evey single led... I don't won't them to be split to all 4 fans... Let's say I want the First one in rainbow mode, the second one in blue, the third one in green and the fourth in red

    • @TechLens
      @TechLens  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@enrico6508 No worries.
      Yep, all that is possible. You can control each LED, each fan independently. hope this helps

    here is some more important info if you decide to go this route beware of the AMPS. commander pro is 2A per channel but the node core is 4A per channel if your connecting devices directly without external power.
    For the Lighting Channel version:
    This will connect to a single RGB Lighting Channel on either a Corsair Commander Pro or Lighting Node Pro.
    If your device does not have its own power source, you need to make sure that the current draw on a single Corsair Lighting Channel is limited to approximately 2A (10W). This will come out to roughly 60 RGB LEDs, however you'll need to check the specifications of any LEDs that you connect. If you exceed the limit, you may blow a fuse in your Lighting Channel.
    For the RGB LED Fan Hub / Lighting Node Core version:
    This will connect to a fan port on the Corsair RGB LED Fan Hub or Lighting Node Core.
    If your device does not have its own power source, you need to make sure that the current draw on a single Corsair RGB LED Fan Hub / Lighting Node Core is limited to approximately 4A (20W). This will come out to roughly 120 RGB LEDs, however you'll need to check the specifications of any LEDs that you connect. If you exceed the limit, you may blow the capacitor in the RGB LED Fan Hub / LNC.
    The RGB LED Fan Hub connection will duplicate the signal to the next device on the fan hub. For example, if you use this adapter to connect a Lian Li Strimer (12 LEDs) to an RGB LED Fan Hub / Lighting Node Core on port 1 and then a Corsair HD-RGB fan on port 2 (also 12 LEDs), the Corsair fan and the Lian Li Strimer will have identical effects. In iCUE, this would be configured as a single HD-RGB Fan. Keep this in mind when configuring your lighting channels.
