How much does the camper weigh?

About 1600lbs, the 3500s are overkill.

Hi! What is the name of the tool you used to cut the metal pilar?

Portable band saw, one of my favorite tools!

Seems to take away all of the advantages of being "axle less"?

Not really, the trailer still has independent suspension. It does reduce some ground clearance in the middle (only advantage that is taken away). When I make the upper braces I will likely remove the crossmember. The frame braces are just way more difficult to fabricate than installing this.

@@infosponge, it’s your rig and the desired end result is totally up to you. I’d keep the cross member and accept the slightly smaller middle ground clearance and call it a day. Sure the additional braces would help but aren’t necessary. Now more than ever. With that said, I’ve considered replacing my torsion flex with the Timberen on my teardrop but seeing that I rarely see terrain worthy of the upgrade I always talk myself out of it.

Your jack stand spacers are dangerous as can be. You should find something wider and put it under the stand way more stable.

Thanks for the safety tip. The redundant stands, floor jack and wheel were there for backup.
