I don’t have and have never had particularly heavy (although now I have painful) periods-but I’ve always had a very tight pelvic floor. My pelvic muscles seemed to be permanently loosened (in a good way) after giving birth. However, postpartum, I’ve started to have lots of endometriosis symptoms… including: lower back pain, upper back pain near shoulder blades, abdominal pain, chest pain, more UTIs than ever in my life, now I suffer with intense ovulation pain and pelvic pain throughout the menstrual cycle, along with bladder and bowel symptoms during my period. I was also deconditioned in my core which I felt was very very odd, and caused a lot of pain and dysfunction. I thought I was going crazy, seeing multiple specialties and getting tons of tests done with most of them coming back clear.
However now I’ve started seeing a gyno because of more pelvic symptoms, and I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe I’m not crazy. Maybe I’ve had endometriosis growing and never knew. I won’t know for sure until I get a laprascopy (which isn’t in the plans as of now), but my gynocologist has at least considered it a possibility for my pelvic pain.
This is just me ranting at this point… but I think it’s interesting to consider it’s possible that one disease could cause this many symptoms in my body. I appreciate all your videos giving info on various aspects of Endo.
