Hello Gravityd. I've spent years working on Gadd's ratamacue. I've watched Gadd & Bissonnette explain it. How to start it was always sticking point. (haha-did not intend pun). The result is, now I have 3 different ways to do it. You have given me a 4th way. To sound like Gadd I stick to the ratamacue-its difficult. The other ways are easier & sound very close. Almost identical. Thanks for your take on it-you have given me new ideas.
I saw your video I believe it 9 minutes long and it really helped me out. This one was even better sir. Thank you for slowing it down. Really makes more sense.
Wow, Thanks for the big compliment... I have played with many big named artists in almost every style of music.. I used to tour and record with various artists but since my wife passed many years ago I went to the Philippines and spent my time doing massive amounts of research on health, Government and religion. About 2 years ago I came back to the US and restarted my Career. @@bdn8161
Thanks for saying.. Things are much different now.. Never thought I would be with anyone else again but After being in the Philippines for over 10 tears I found someone else who could put up with me... @@bdn8161
I'm 95% sure Gadd is playing 6s in the clip in the intro (watching at 50% speed makes me pretty confident in this): RLLRLR KLLRLR KLLRLR I think your version based on 7s is "hard mode", but it's super cool, and I will practice it.
I LUUUV when guys challenge me.. First off thanks for checking this but secondly it is awesome that you actually have paid close attention.. I just went back in to the studio to check the sticking out that you sent. I have seen him do this many times.. both slower, faster and even in a master class and it is the six stroke with the hands while adding the foot. What has thrown mw recently is how he doesnt resolve most fills but begins the fills with his foot. Either way.. Thanks for the support and being so in tune... Cheers.

Seems like you are mostly playing LLRRLRK. Why start with the right hand longer 7 stroke version RLLRRLRK? Thanks.
It lets the other band members know where one is... I have battled that a few times.. Crazy huh?
@@gravitydrums1391 lol OK. Thanks for the explanation. I appreciate your videos. Cheers!
Thanks. Seems to me like a very cool octuplet.
