At first I thought he fell off, and then I saw the bullets fly past you and I was like "That cheating bastard" and then he came down the ladder and slapped him to death. Well played Graslu, well played. ;D
The ending animation to this when played in either Slow Mode or Fast Mode was kind of funny back in the day.
Oh yeah the one where he jumps to the helicopter? Yeah I used to do that in DK mode. My little sister and brother were laughing so hard.

God, up until I started watching this channel, I forgot how good the Cradle music was. Just perfectly tense and energetic for a "final level".

I was born in 84 and nes was amazing to see as a kid and then in 90 or 91 when snes came out the progress in tech was crazy, but then when n64 came out and these levels experienced for the first time seemed massive compared to anything before. The multi player was just amazing playing all night with friends with what seemed like a ridiculous amount of settings
I found this to be the most difficult 00 Agent level by a country mile. The endless spawning guards, the insane levels of inconsistency when Alec goes down to the antenna platform (I got to that point twice and he just kept flying back up the ladder again, at which points guards shot me down), it was just awful. After endless attempts I finally did it!
You didn’t think Aztec was harder?
@@lovesgibson Aztec was definitely difficult, but once I got the strategy down for that I did it on the second try. I found Cradle much more buggy and inconsistent, especially with Alec at the end, and it took me an age to complete it. I found the poor mechanics made Cradle unnecessarily difficult.
This has the best music piece, love it.
Could not stop laughing at you being right behind him the whole time, shooting him no less. A few times it looked like you were about to go flying over the railings / off the platform at the end. X'D
You were right behind Trevelyan's back. How were you able to do that? Every time I played this mission on the N64 he was 2 times faster than me.
Chris Peterson You should strafe always (forward on joystick and C button left or right), and if you have luck, you'll gain a boost if they shoot you like me at 1:20, too. This way, he'll also be unable to shoot you because he won't have time to stop running from you.

Thanks for posting all these videos. I was having a hard time on a couple of these levels since I haven't played Goldeneye in over 20 years. It was a blast going through this game again when I saw it on Gamepass the other day.

If you wanted to beat the game that badly why didn’t you just say so?
The 90s were such a great time for new video games. Kids today will never understand the feeling of playing this games for the first time and thinking that its the greatest game every created. Also, how do people beat this level in like 30 seconds? I never figured how to get him to go to the bottom the first or second time. Seems like sometimes it took me 10 minutes beating this level, and that was on regular agent difficulty. (I'm not a gamer, just got the game when it came out 20 years ago).
Recently a new strat was found to beat this in around 30-33 seconds yeah. I haven't looked into it yet, but you can only deal damage to Trevelyan when he stops to talk, so if you spent time shooting at him while running that may be why it took longer.
That's so true we came up in the 90s I was born in 1991 I was 4 years old in 1995 when James Bond Film "GoldenEye" came out in theaters and I was 6 years old in 1997 when the game came out I am now bought to be 30 years old next year and I am now turning 29 years old I am thinking about my age
Now they're tearing down the REAL location this is based on
Goldeneye main story completed 100% on all 4 of my save files. I'm done for the time being, but we'll see what happens with the Medal worthy next level that my best friend’s brother barely beat, but until then at least I beat it on Agent the hard way took me a month. Next is doing Aztec on Agent the hard way within 9 minutes for each of my save files then the easy way and repeat the process for Secret and 00 Agent. Dunno when that’ll happen but if I do it I’ll let you know. Thanks for everything Graslu! 😊

I always remember just going through and through this level just waiting for Alec to take the other route where he goes down the bottom. Sometimes he went there quite early on sometimes it took ages and I never understood why. Always loved his sprint with that machine gun! Lol

It's hard to believe this but 007 was seriously being considered to be in Smash bros melee. I think this level would of been a cool stage if that happened back in the day heck his up B could be him using his jet pack and his final smash would be using the Golden Gun. But at least we got Solid flipping Snake instead.:-)

Tried doing the slap showdown and a guard always comes to ruin the fun. I even defeated Trev but was killed before the cutscene happened.

What do you mean exactly? Sprinting? Neither PD or GE has sprinting, but you gain speed the same way, by strafing.

You get a bit of speed over time on PD, but if you strafe you get more speed, and also constant.

No this is on PC emulated, the N64 can't render 1080p.
I do have my current N64 with UltraHDMI, though.

You have to go big balls mode and just rush the prick. Try as fast and accurately as you can you'll get it.

@@Graslu00 yea I mean stay right on his ass. I tried camping 10 different places to gather ammo and reduce numbers and you just get overwhelmed it's a nightmare
@@alore2594 If you follow him you also extend the fight, it's pretty easy to get him to not move much if you know a few spots to shoot from the distance. That way he won't ever go up.
