Can you please help me out….. if not I understand. I’ve been looking up down and around a vinyl record. It’s Raphael Ravenscroft- Her father didn’t like me anyways. If you know anything about it or have it please let me know. Thanks
One of the most legendary video topics in the VC, showing legendary title after another, by a fucking legend, easily a top ten video for the VC in 2024..
Amazing finds as always! So much cool stuff for me to look up. Thanks for always introducing the vc to awesome music that was overlooked over the years.
You’re one of my favorite record channels to check out. I discovered so much unheard music because of you and I thank you sir. One of these days when I’m traveling down south, I’m going to stop by the shop to dig and meet you! I’m sure I’ll find something I want! Merry Christmas to you and your family. Matt from Chicago!
Absolutely love your videos, I tune in to every one even though I have zero interest in the main genres that you sort of gravitate towards. That being said, the passion you have for your craft is inspirational and the stories that go with the finds are absolutely fascinating. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for 2025!
I love these videos. It shows me what I should be hunting for if I’m ever lucky enough to come across one in the wild at a garage sale or flea market, etc.
My jaw is on the floor mate! Just killer finds, every one of them. I know I’ll never be able to find the Captain Marryat original, so it is just awesome to see it on video! It found a great new home for sure. Congratulations! 💥👏🏻
Dillon you had a outstanding year of finds man that Thad Jones , Mal Waldron Mal 4 . I’m still drooling when you showed that Pete La Roca Basra it’s a major want of mine congrats man Happy Holidays.
Hey, Dillon. Wondering if you’re familiar with a band called Uncle Chapin out of New York. Only one album, self titled. Bought a sealed copy at Luna Music in Indianapolis for $5 based on the cover and a quick TH-cam listen. I was floored when I listened to it. Incredible mash up of early ‘70’s funky rock, jazz, crazy horns. It also happened to be a white label promo. Home run!
Can you put out a list of all the records you have put out. I may have missed some earlier ones. I would like to find them and add to my collection. I have a separate “Dillon” section
Alan Hawkshaw did a lot of tv shows here in the uk the most famous one was for the children’s show called Grangehill the intro along with the music is ingrained into the memories of nearly every Gen X from the UK
Cool finds Dillon. “Relatively Clean Rivers” niiiice. Wish the fella in the band would let someone use the masters for a reissue. Man, if that lp is clean, centered and could be transfered to tape for a great remastering it would be a gift to the fans of “Relatively Clean Rivers”. The transfers for the boots unfortuantely were done from an off centered original and sound wonky in places.
I like Totty's second album Too. Has some great grooves on that one. Cosmic Dealers was fantastic. Added that to the list. I indirectly discovered Mu-Mu while looking these records up to stream. have you heard that one? I assume you have. 😅
It is mind-blowing to me the quantity of albums I have never heard of that Dylan is incredibly passionate about. Are they really that good? If they are, I can’t afford to find out😅
Picked up a my solid ground this year too. Trying to work out if the signature is genuine on it . Can’t find a comparison anywhere though 😬 Regardless it’s a great record.
Are you able to do some rips of some of your ultra obscure albums on TH-cam or would that cause a strike on your channel? Enjoy the content, I’ll never be able to find this stuff in the middle of nowhere Canada 🍁. Hopefully I’ll make it to the shop in 2025. 😎🤘🇨🇦🤘
I found an acetate of Josephus album Hookah ,it didn't even have a title! Different song rotation, and some other variables. Found in Fayetteville,NC. and I can't remember who I sold it to 😢. But it exists!(hopefully!)
I'd like to see you at least try to take off the tape and catalog number from one of the records you got from VOA to see if they really will come off. You say they will, but we haven't seen if that would actually be the case. Possible buyers might be interested in knowing.
Brian Bennett has for starters, he originally was the drummer in The Shadows and has worked with artists like The Walker Brothers and Ella Fitzgerald as well as the library stuff.
Should I have a large record collection right now I'm looking at a bunch of 45 I have they're all from the mid-80s jackets are in good shape records are in basically mint shape do you know anyone that would be interested
well.................this eams just to be about top notch collecteble items, wich is ok, BUT ive been collecting vinyls since I was 12 and I,m now 63 and I dont know anyting that you talk about,
Wow I dont think you could have found any worse film clips to splice in to this video. Saw at least four clips where people were either handling the record incorrectly leaving fingerprints and oils on the vinyl. Next the clips showing poor and horrendous was of storage, albums out of there protective jackets, some thrown into pvc plastic bags of something. Last the wonderful clip of someone dropping the needle onto a spinning album.....yikes! Your video highlights all the incorrect and wrong tactics of vinyl collecting and handling. Also nothing new here regarding the vinyl resergince
Second comment here… out of the hundreds of records I have is there a few names that stand out you could give me that I should look for that are like “THE HOLY GRAIL” of valuable collectibles? I know it’s a hard question, but isn’t there something that is super rare and worth some decent money?
I got a stack of records from a garage sale ( the people were in there 60’s)in the jacket’s about 3 foot tall Beatles, Elvis, LED Zeppelin etc. 60’s to the 80’s. I would like to know if there are people that can be trusted to appraise them that wouldn’t steal valuable ones and replace them with pirated ones ? There are rock albums of people I never heard of and old MOTOWN too. I haven’t catalogued any of them. Also about 150 45’s , none in their jackets. It’s hard to figure out the thing like Capital Records that are the black letters- white background and visa versa stuff, like is my Beatles White album worth a dollar , or is it worth $1000.00 ? Note: I’ve got weird obscure name bands. 🤯 Some are like a record that is about Little Black Sambo…from back before political correctness, I suspect it was a children’s record.
There's scads of info on the web, incl. recent 'sold for' price sites. You need to do your own research. No one is gonna take the time when nearly all your questions can be answered with a few mouse clicks. Just telling you the facts.
@@noblerecords lol transambandit sounds like my parents growing up. Every time they went out of town or something they'd tell me what do if they were to die. lol

Whats really cool is being able to learn what the titles are that I haven’t seen before, it’s such good intel on rare rare rare records
Thanks! That’s my goal!

Insane!! So cool to see all of them in one video. What a year you had!!
Great haul for the year Dillon….
I learn of new music/ groups every time I watch your videos….

Thank you man!!!
love your channel just for finding stuff I haven't heard before. keep it up homie!
I love these videos. It shows me what I should be hunting for if I’m ever lucky enough to come across one in the wild at a garage sale or flea market, etc.
Iggy and the stooges, with him on the front. Badass
Astro sounds woke me up. Love em

Interesting name for a record co .Bacillus ..as it is a name for a fermenting style of yeast ..

Hey Dillon, I'm real jealous of that Mal Waldron 2 album. Hard to find in great shape like that!
Your produced records are priced very fair considering the rareness of the original
Great video!!!! Sounds like i need a Totti.
You do!
Can you put out a list of all the records you have put out. I may have missed some earlier ones.
I would like to find them and add to my collection. I have a separate “Dillon” section
One of the best produced pop tracks ever is by Keith Mansfield: Am I the Same Girl (1970) by Salena Jones. The production is perfection.
Jeff liberman. Wow. Thanks
My collection would be filled with dollar stuff too. But there are some gems in them piles
How do you know what is a library record without knowing labels ergo Bruton, KPM, etc?
Alan Hawkshaw did a lot of tv shows here in the uk the most famous one was for the children’s show called Grangehill the intro along with the music is ingrained into the memories of nearly every Gen X from the UK
Haha that’s awesome!

If they did one of those detailed scans of your brain 🧠, the area dedicated to music appreciation would be totally dark and expansive!😂
Last Month 4 a Buck 🦌 at a Garage Sale I Found a Near Mint Tubular Bells Half-Speed Master Lp.Opened/Unused.
I feel bad for the records that were destined for this list but because of the Voice of America collection were bumped off
I would love to see a new zamrock video. Wondering if theres any as good as that Amanaz record. Thats my favorite zamrock.
I like Totty's second album Too. Has some great grooves on that one. Cosmic Dealers was fantastic. Added that to the list. I indirectly discovered Mu-Mu while looking these records up to stream. have you heard that one? I assume you have. 😅

I’m sure it’s real, why would anyone fake it? 🤣
If I win the lottery I'll make you an offer you can't refuse 😉. Just mind-blowing pick-ups Dillon.
Please do! I love those 🤣
Saint Anthony’s fyre on the wall I have two sealed.
You should reissue Relatively Clean Rivers

He does them here @findthisrecord6586
He was doing that at some point on another channel, but don't know if he still does that or not.
I found an acetate of Josephus album Hookah ,it didn't even have a title! Different song rotation, and some other variables. Found in Fayetteville,NC. and I can't remember who I sold it to 😢. But it exists!(hopefully!)

I’ve seen them just fall off. Some more easily than others.
You should do some All Saved Freak Band reissues, if possible.
Wow!
^5!
I have an original Josephus dead man album sealed.
Out of curiosity, has anyone from those library records ever gone on to do anything of note?
Brian Bennett has for starters, he originally was the drummer in The Shadows and has worked with artists like The Walker Brothers and Ella Fitzgerald as well as the library stuff.
Keith Mansfield is amazing. His credits include Dusty Springfield.

Hi, Dillon and greetings from Austria. Do you have Vinyls from Austria in your collection? Khavas Jute are from Australia, not Austria.
Are you selling that Brenton Wood Oogum Boogum I see poking out on the shelf?
I found a copy of John Travoltas first record this year. I was gonna trade it for a Tina Brooks true blue but I’m not sure
U have a store thats why u dont buy BN on line.and the price u pay is not near what u have to pay online
That’s not really why.
@noblerecords if u say so.still u getting good scores of lps.
Did my ‘best finds of the year’ video but mine is very lame in comparison 😅
Swell

I’m 36.
