You have some nice quiet parks to go to close by..... very nice.
That radio seems really nice, but I agree with the others that think the side tone (when sending) is nauseating. Why they chose that sound is a mystery. Maybe it cuts through heavy wind and other outdoor noises better? Perhaps. It is a cool transceiver and it is still on my radar.
Firmware updates have improved the sidetone significantly. Next time I go out with the KH1 and make a video, I believe you'll hear a positive difference.
The action on those N0SA paddles is so light that holding them in the fist like that leads to sending errors. They really need a shroud of some sort to use them in that way.
I have a similar problem, my left hand gets tense and flexes the casing enough that it either sends an extra dit, or skips a dah.
Another great video, Thomas! With regards to the lengths on the “random wire”, I have found that an 84’ radiator with a 17’ counterpoise has worked well for me on my SG-230 and Icom AH-4 external ATU’s. 73 de Mike KA4EZY

I like the side tone. Would you say the atu is as good as kx2?
No. The KX2 ATU has a very wide matching range. The KH1 is what Elecraft would call a mid-range matcher. That said, the KH1 will match most any antenna you throw at it. THe KX2 ATU will match a wet string. :)
Broke down and bought the kh1. Going to have to stop watching your channel. 😊
