We’re loving the Kekova area, looks like we anchored in the same spot as you around the corner from Smugglers bar. Great job with the bottom job on the boat, good that it’s all done and you can relax & get some R&R after the op.

It really is a beautiful place. We have lots of drone footage. of there if it's of use? Out of hospital tomorrow week in an apartment in Antalya then back to the boat. See you soon guys. Sail Safe.

I was in the RYA, when covid lock downs came and work dried up, I left, to save on my pennies. The RYA was most upset, asking how I intended to learn to sale etc, it was a weird phone call. To be honest the only thing I've used them for is for cheap tickets to Southampton boat show.

Hey Ant, nice video here. Would you mind telling us what your deal was with the Setur Marina in Finike? My better half is very curious what we would spend if we wintered our boat there next year. The music is awesome, keep it up.

Hi mate I am I. Hospital at the moment I will be here for a week to 10 days. I have limited WiFi. Setur have a web site. If you contact them directly they will respond pretty quickly. Don’t forget to tell them we sent you and your get an extra month free on your contract. Regards Ant.

Just curious about the choice of location for the intake for your watermaker. Was contamination of that fitting from the through hulls just forward of it, a consideration ?
Great vids with some very practical advice.
    Cheers from Downunder, Mach

Hi. We thought long and hard about the location. We wanted the valve to be well below the waterline and in a place that was easy to get to. The other valves are toilet intake and toilet outlet. Only the intake is permanently open so there is no path for contamination. We are going to be putting the water maker through its paces in the next few days as we leave the marina and get our first sail in after what seems like a long time. Sail Safe mate. Ant & Cid

What was the apron cost of the copper coat and what kind of upkeep did he do over the ten years? Also how is your Drone anxiety? I'm always a bit scared of flying it :)

CC was £110.00 per Ltr and 14 Ltrs used. It had been scrapped off a couple of times and dived on a couple of times in that ten years. Always with the drone. Check out our other new channel "Your Drone TV" lots to see there.

You are right about the RYA for cruising yachtspersons. It's not that apparent to me what the membership gives you - other than cheap ICC certitude every 5 years. The CA seem to do more eg on sorting entry requirements post Brexit, and orcas, for example. Agree about the woke thing too.

I waited through all of the ads and I'm still wondering if copper coat really lasts for 10 years after all of your interesting tips I'm still trying to learn something. Sorry I'm not more patient but I'm being sold all kinds of things and not getting what I tuned into the video to learn. I put a copper bottom on my sailboat 20 years ago and I'm scraping the growth off and finding good solid copper underneath the Barnacles which come off very easily and I suspect I would have more to offer on the subject than what I'm seeing in this video by this obviously wealthy privileged boat owner who likes to tell stories. I'm just preparing for a haul out but the fact is I really don't need to be hauled out after 20 years in the water with my solid copper bottom which I made with vinyl Ester resin and copper powder. But I believe it needs repaired in a couple of spots. I'm sold on the copper bottom idea permanent lifetime copper impregnated resin

Douglas, Good morning. I have had a member of my staff read this to me over my smoked salmon and caviar all paid for by the TH-cam adverts (without touching my trust fund). I am sorry that you are not learning anything............ Also not enjoying the story. I am sure there are lots of other channels you will enjoy more and your opinions will be better valued and taken seriously, if you can lean to work the search feature. Toodle pip.

@@SVImpavidus absolutely so I found a 2-minute video that goes directly to the point and clarifies the details without the rambling personal detail including everything but the name of your pets and the ages in order of your children. All with great to have all of the detail but some of us are focusing on what we need to know. And I always compliment a direct, to the point and clear presentation. Those who want to compare handicaps? Well I find that an imposition on our time

Love your adventures but if I may, what is wrong with being "Woke"? The RYA from what I can see is trying to open up the sailing community with anyone who may have an interest in sailing which is great. New Zealand did this 30 years ago before the word "woke" was a term and what it achieved, was to have the sailing or water experience open to anyone regardless of financial background, race etc and it has been fantastic. More people have rudimentary understanding of water safety when on a boat which has led to a decrease in coastguard callouts and, boating DIY and marine merchants is in abundance. The more, the merry.

The dictionary defines it as “originally: well-informed, up-to-date. Now chiefly: alert to racial or social discrimination and injustice”. So what is actually wrong with being ‘woke’? It seems somewhat similar to being a nice person. I struggle with why one wouldn’t want to be ‘woke’.
