Welcome to our channel.
We are now in season 7
In 2018 we left the UK to sail around the world slowly. After Brexit, a "Pandemic" and major heart surgery we are still sailing, documenting our travels and showing you what we have learned so far.
We are hoping to complete our journey, and travel right around the world even if we have had a few setbacks along the way. We will continue at our own pace and that may be fast or slow. We want to be sure not to miss anything and have stories to tell our grandchildren when we are old and grey.

Ours were not that bad, but our toilet one was still a shocker for us. We are coming up on five years since we changed it so probably time to do it again.

I thing the solution is reduce the number of through holes (by sharing function where prudent) to the absolute minimum and then change a percentage of them every haul out with the aim of having none of them older than 10 years old. Of course the plastic jobbies may negate that strategy - but I have no experience with them and not all ‘plastic’ is equal. I have seen no papers on long term durability and material specifications of plastic in the marine environment.

Stay away from Chinese stuff below the waterline...there are real things that have the right metals in them but they are insanely expensive of course but you also avoid sinking boats!
