    1 thing ive learned is rear suspension saves direct drive motors road impacts such as ripped spokes off hub/rim & hub electrical internals, i bought a bike from bike shop & told them i was putting a ebike kit they suggested a hardtail long story short bike lasted 80 miles so i went & bought a full suspension & new ebike kit 6500 miles later & still going.

    Cool bike!
    One thing to look out for is to make sure the straps on your backpack are all tugged in, because you could catch into the wheels, and that can cause an accident of cause the strap to snap off.
    Greetings,
    Jeff

    I run an s900 for a fat tire bike rear motor and a sw900 for the front wheel motor. I have 2 batteries. One for each motor. Both lcd’s work just fine. It took forever to get the speedometers to match with both throttle and pedal assist. They are very easy to use displays. Thanks

      Hi remixread,
      I have the same LCD sw900 and a 26amp controller 48 volt batt 750watt int geared rear hub. It puts out almost 2 hp on a fully charged battery! 💪
      🗣My question to you, which parameters are you adjusting and what values did you end up with to get your best results.....I have problems getting my speedometer and odometer to BOTH be accurate, so I usually turn on my phone app, (BIKEOMETER) to get accurate speeds and distance numbers, of course comparing the app to the sw900 (while riding) is where I discovered all the discrepancies.
      🚵‍♀️Congratulations on getting your two wheel drive system configured and working, and working accurately 👍
      My channel has a couple of videos showing GPS app accuracy vs unmodded ebike display inaccuracies💩

      Hey @tarquingaylord , I have a 1000w ebike kit with a 48v 16ah battery and I can tell you about the PAS. I have the SW900 Display and Pas 1 goes around 17mph with pretty light peddling, pas 2 goes upto 19.5mph depending how hard you pedal and on the terrain your on, pas 3 took me to 23mph with medium amt of peddling and on flat ground, pas 4 was around 25-26 mph depending again on the road surface and how hard you pedal and then PAS 5 takes you upto around 28-30mph. The fastest I've gone with PEDAL Assist was 30.8mph but that was with programming it to 3 levels of PAS and not the more common 5 levels. Hope this helps and if you want to know anything else feel free to ask

      @@ashley010788 thanks for that. I did manage to get the system working and I more or less got the same results as yourself so very helpful. Don’t tell anyone but I did eventually find out what the problem was ..... a wire was trapped against the bike frame and shorting to earth causing the controller to have a dicky fit. Job done. Cheers

Do you know if yours does the same? Thanks

      No it doesn't it's only for bafang bbs mid drive. I thought about buying 1 and I have a voilamart and from doing research its only compatible with bafang. But a colour display called 24-72v UKC-1 Display should fit as it's the same connection as the voilamart display. Here it is

      I put a 1000 front hub on a retail ebike to make it AWD--it spins the front tire up to 10 mph and can climb a medium to steep hill at 22 to 28 mph--the 1500 is uneeeded if are adding a motor--I would do the 1000 for range. I have vids on mine.The 1000 can also do 32 mph on flat by itself.I use the 1000 for hills and trails and even going over 20 mph you can hear the tire just grip the pavement with just the 1000.I almost got a 1500--but I am now glad I did not because it would be overkill.I got a 750 bafang rear hub with a 48 v 14 ah battery and a 1000 watt front hub with a 48v 20 ah battery--2 controllers also.There is no hill or trail i can not climb now--and can climb with 20 plus mph speeds--anything above 20 on a trail or 30 on a street is really pushing these to the limits of what i would feel safe doing.I have a CSC 20 inch fat tire that I did this to.I also got 80 mile plus range with the setup.

    • @treron8472

      Its probobly not worth it, would add a bunch more weight and motor drag and wouldn't increase the top speed.
      If you're going to upgrade get a better controller or battery

    • @ashley010788
      @ashley010788 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. A battery with more volts should increase your speed on level ground and a controller with more amps than your current 1 will increase acceleration and maximum speed achieved on a hill

      I have the same motor with 20ah battery and get 80-100 miles on pedal assist and about 25 miles throttle only. My average rides on a weekend are about 30-40 miles of mixed riding. Most I got with heavy throttle use while on MTB trails with gravel paths was 45 miles and had 2 volts left when I got back.

    Is your motor 52v aswell? I bought 48v, but battery is 52v now thinkng if that will last long or better not overload it

    • @ianmangham4570
      @ianmangham4570 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A so called 48v battery charges upto anywhere from 52-55v, just like a 36v charges to 42v,the more Amp Hours the better your range and you can pull more Amps for longer time.

    • @Home_made_ch
      @Home_made_ch 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ianmangham4570 question is not about battery specification. But about motor wheel capabilities. If motor rated as 48v, then battery supposed yo be 48v. If battery is higher voltage, then motor can be affected by higher voltage. i am not about battery capacity. By mentioning 52v battery and 48v motor i mean nominal voltage of both. So battery is 14s, when fully charged is 58.8v, but 48v motor wheel mean for 13s battery, which is only 54.6v. Is not big difference, but may affect motor if is rated to lower voltage

    • @ianmangham4570
      @ianmangham4570 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Home_made_ch DOESN'T MATTER, I've built around 3 kits, if its a 48v controller then it's got most likely 80v capacitors inside and plenty of mosfets, the ESC/CONTROLLER decides how many volts and amps go to the motor

    • @Home_made_ch
      @Home_made_ch 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ianmangham4570 mosfets there not plenty, but according maximum current, that can go trough them. 48v controller can be rated as 500w and only 6 mosfets, but can be 1.5kw with 18 mosfets. What current will go trough controller, is depend of throttle position. And usually all specs are calculated from maximum power, like range, time, and speed.
      I built view bikes aswell, and all parameters been calculated, so it matter.
