We're officially going to begin bringing back the TMNT comics and Power Rangers. Be tomorrow or next Tuesday and they'll rotate with each other. Our first attempt at bringing back things non Marvel and DC. (And no, all of you who think TMNT is Marvel, they are not, that was a fun theory that now all non readers think is true. I know there’s other channels with it fully covered already but none of them do it as well as you do and I think you would really love it once you get just past where the show stops in season 1 and they are making season 2 right now it could pull in views when it releases if you already have videos for it
Over and over, you always hear or see Mikey having glimpses of being the strongest out of the TMNT. It's just that he was always the go-with-the-flow party dude.\, but the potential has been there throughout the continuities.
Give him PTSD, decades of training, and take away his pizza and sense of humor, this is what happens.
If you can get a dark humor & him eating pizza at random would be cool

In the 2003 everytime he actually started trying he was an effective fighter beating Raph and winning that tournament.
2012 he straight up beat his mind controlled brothers and splinter. While also consistently beating his opponents first then dealing with the foot soldiers.
In the original gore heavy comic he was just limited by his weapons but still killed Foot soldiers faster than Raph.
Leo still the best and strongest to me
@@Truejota yeah Leo was my favorite ever since I was a kid watching the 2003 show because of his leadership and responsibility of looking out for his brothers. But I definitely saw the potential in Mikey in being the strongest/talented one out of the four.
Of course it’s Mikey. It wouldn’t be a Dark Knight Returns-version of TMNT if it wasn’t. Everyone wants it to be Leo or Raph. Especially Raph. But in a dystopia, what would Raph be? More angry and stoic than usual? To show that it’s a dystopia, you have to show that the party dude is old and grizzled. And that there is no pizza in this world.

Agreed, its easier to see the effects on a character that clashes thematically then one that's similar.
The end hit me really hard, poor Mikey :( He went from "No Peace" to "Know Peace". That speaks volume to his character.
Actually Splinter was the one who wrote “No Peace” because of his grudge against Shredder. He started the war, and Mikey ended it, taking the endless hatred that brew in his master, and found peace for everyone.

As a legally blind viewer, I find standard comic books to not be the most accessible. I always wanted to read this series though, and found your channel through this video. Excellent story, and fantastic narration. Well done!

This was a truly emotionally aimed comic story. Real tear jerker, trying to understand how he could have felt after losing the majority of his family, wanting a way out, and finally finding redemption and peace in the end.

This would be a fantastic movie series. I think they should make an animated movie with the 2003 cast all reprising their roles! Just an idea anyway
Funny enough we kind of got that in the 2003 tmnt cartoon with a episode taking place in a dark future with all teenage mutant ninja turtles getting killed off all except one and that was Donny.
I recommend you watch Season 3 Episode 21 (Same as it never was.) VERY similar idea.

Out of all the comic book stories that should have a movie adaptation, it is definitely The Last Ronin. An amazing story, with similar parallels to the 'Old Man Logan' story line. The Last Ronin, in my opinion has a masterpiece of an ending.
It would be great with a Spider-verse or Puss in Boots 2 style animation.

People try and play that Mikey is the weakest when he is actually one of the strongest. You wouldn’t expect the joking, fun loving, pizza eating turtle to be on top of you so fast but he does and that’s one edge he has is that his brothers underestimate him because of care free demeanor. Nunchucks take more skill to wield than sais
Additionally he trains the least and still easily hangs with them
Thats why he was given nunchaku. Nunchucks are the most self destructive and most difficult training weapon out of all samurai/ninja crafted tools, and Michelangelo was the most self destructive and least caring in the group, by mastering nunchucks and overcoming that self destruction, his potential skyrockets beyond those of his brothers
Any TMNT fans know that Michelangelo has the most potential out of all of his brothers.

That stuff hit right in the feels, Mikey finally getting reunited with his family in the afterlife. It's the perfect ending.

I think Michelangelo should be the last one, He was always the charismatic jokester who saw everything on a truly deep level, To see his character progress after all his brother die would be a truly wonderful site, A tragic story were he would have almost succumb to the darkness but would have found a purpose to push foward against all odds

I would like to see them do a series for each Turtle. like one where Donatello is the last Turtle, and one where Leonardo is. Just have alternate stories for each kinda like an alternate timeline or something.

I find it interesting that in the beginning, Mike is very serious while the phantoms of his brothers keep cracking jokes. Almost like they represent the last vestige of his old personality.
Mikey traded his charismatic , optimism, and his happiness for his brothers intelligence, leadership, diligence. Mikey has always been my favorite. Karai killed leo and raphael was overthrown by his anger and tried to get revenge for leo, only for Raphael to get killed by Karai. Donny was killed by beebop. RIP 3 headed goats
Actually, Leo (and Casey) was blown up by Baxter’s robots, Raph put Karai into a coma, but drowned in the fight, and Donnie (Splinter too) was jumped by Hiroto and the foot clan, being pierced by Arrows

holy crap i went in to this thinking "o man this is gonna be epic" But I just found it all to be extremely depressing.. TMNT were my first heroes. It hurt watching them get takin out like that. This story punched kid me right in the gut, and adult me felt every bit of it. :(

You do realize that the turtles started out as a very very dark series right? In the 1980s they only wore red and it was very brutal and bloody. They had to completely remake their image and give them bright headband so that children would love them. This comic is a call back to the original turtle fans like us who have been loving them for 35 years. So the kid in me met them as violent and then watched as they became white-washed and commercialized. So this brought it back to the kid in me. The way it's meant to be done! So good!

I like how the bandanas are used in this comic, how mikey doesnt actually wear it until he joins the rest of his family… it really adds to the story
being totally blind, I remember so well, when I was growing up, my younger brother would read comics to me like this. This allowed him and I to bond much more than a lot of other siblings, me gaining the knowledge of pop-culture that I would not have otherwise, and him having someone with whom he could discuss comic books with on the same level. Watching this video brings back so much of those old memories, thank you, well done

Man… it was like a kick to the chest seeing Mikey pass at the end.. it’s hard seeing all the turtles /casey and splinter die..
Dang, it's heartbreaking that Raph was the only one to die alone...
Sad but fitting he always was the man of action, to his own detriment in many cases, he was the strongest of heart but that is a double edged sword.
Would you rather die alone or die with your brothers. I'd rather leave my brother's out of it

This hit me really hard, even cried because after his death life replaced him with 4 new Slider 🐢 Turtles. I figured out it was Michelangelo but felt his pain from his dark garbs because he was Ronin. I had hard time growing up, I even wanted to end my life but as silly as this sounds after watching TMNT I was hooked and my painful past slowly turned me around. I started training in Tae Kwon Do, Recycled construction blocks and bricks so I can lift weights and then learned Karate and trained at Okinawa Kenpo Dharma Ryu Dojo, I walked across Aloha Stadium in Hawaii and took part and placed 3rd at Aloha State Games. TMNT saved my life and Martial Arts and then the Military(Always Green BDU's) kept me from falling back into the past and the old path of darkness. Initially when I posted this I was really emotional and after calming down, I wanted to add the missing parts I forgot. Im sorry for my writing, I dropped out of HighSchool in 10th grade but took my GED and past so I could leave my drug infested home. When I turned 17 my mom signed me on so I can join the US Army.
God bless you for your service my brother and remember this god never gives us something we can’t handle.

I see a lot of ppl saying Mikey wasn’t mature but he was. He was what the team needed at that moment. His optimism, goofiness was a benefit to the team. His personality was the light of the team, and what was needed for what they were doing.
Michael was extremely lonely. He imagined his brother speaking to him and even pissing him off for busting his chops as a coping mechanism. His brothers were even an imaginary comic relief for him as Michaelangelo became the serious one of all.
I always wanted to see a day where Mikey matured and stopped playing around but I hate that it took all this for it to happen

You take the most lighthearted and easy-going turtle (Michelangelo) and turn him into a stone-cold, tough, downtrodden, and mentally deranged turtle because of all the suffering he endured.
This is the movie that people who grew up on the 1980s and 1990s turtles want to see now instead of more reboots of the same thing!
I think they should of kept the identity of the last turtle a secret until the very end, I personally think that would of been more impactful.
But overall 10/10! Let’s hope they make a animated movie

If you really think of it. All the turtles are dead. Mikey was known for being the goofie, happy go lucky, pizza loving, skateboarder brother of the 4. But once the others died, he became a serious, hard training, strict turtle. Mikey died when his brothers were killed. And the Last Ronin was born.
I'm glad that they went back to their dark roots. This is how teenage mutant Ninja turtles got their start back in the 1980s. They became a joke or a comedy for a long time in order to become popular. But this was always the heart and soul. The darkness and seriousness behind it all and I'm glad that the audience has grown up enough to really understand

That was an amazing story! I loved every second of it, the vengeance Mikey needed for his families honor holy shit that was amazing! Thank you for telling this awesome story and portraying the feelings of the characters so well! The ending has me tearing up as I love and will always love The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Mikey was always the strongest, he just never had the motivation to unlock his true potential. When push comes to shove the nicest guy is always the one who becomes a monster.
Not gonna lie I grew up with teenage mutant ninja turtles and I am in my late 30's and I have adhd and autism and still read the comic's and this series had everything nostalgia overdose for me but this made cry so hard

I remember master splinter mentioned Mikey had the most potential out of all the brothers and now we see it come true at a cost

what a dark amazing story and beautiful ending, avenging his master and brothers, truly reminds me so much of Old Man Logan, this will definately be amazing to see in the theaters just like how Days of Future Past was. I hope they make it happen, although I am amazed that the turtles didn't fight side by side in all these battles, to why they all died in the end, unless I missed some issues to why they didn't fight together along with Splinter against the footclan and Hiroko, they would have won and survived

Wow what an incredible story. I definitely like this darker tone. I think this would make an epic video game as well. Make the combat and story progression similar to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. It would be a lot of fun.

I must have been really attached to the turtles, they were after all one of my favorite cartoons as a kid, cause I got all choked up and shed a tear
When they loose somebody:
Leo becomes rageful
Raph becomes emotional
Don becomes cold
And
Mikey becomes quiet.

This is the last video I saw before the Comicstorian's passing. I grew up watching his content. He's irreplaceable 💔 The world of comics will never be the same without him. I pray his family bears this great loss, as we all are.

I would love nothing more than to see a full length feature on this story. Obviously, it would have to have proper backing and the ability to be as comically inclined to make it the most amazing "superhero" film of the 2000's I think, if done right, this could be an amazing story and even a small franchise. This could easily be turned into a decade long story to that would aim for the same, better yet, similar ending.
Raph was always the angriest but imo Mikey was always the most sensitive and had the most depth of feeling

I just got The Last Ronin for Christmas, and I finished reading it last night.
I can easily say that it is one of the best books I've ever read, and one of my favorite TMNT stories ever.

I’m glad it’s Mikey him being the baby and childish of the group it show true agony and doomsday of the story and how the trauma made him mature and become ruthless and that it fits hit character because the other three turtles are already the “serious” turtles so it wouldn’t do much development wise using Ralph or Leo
I was never a big TMNT fan but holy hell this series of comics is a damn Goldmine. I also never expected for this to be so dark 😂 I remember this as a damn kids show

I found this one very hard to finish, as someone who suffers from ptsd themselves, it was difficult to see one of my childhood heros suffer similarly.
