I LOVE this version of Rat King. IDW did and is still doing some awesome stuff with TMNT and creating some great lore for movies and games to pick from for years to come. (If the franchise is handled correctly)

The way in which Alopex abandoned Rafael and the turtles seems to me to be a reversal of her development as a character. Why abandon the only people who accepted and forgave you? What would have seemed more logical to me was for Alopex to remain in the Splinter clan but distrust Shredder's intentions and will watch him from afar
Agreed on that along with the fact that they had no other choice but to team up with Shredder otherwise they would all be dead. I hope they bring her and Raph back together in the new run
Yeah this was just a really dumb decision to do with her character and kind of ruined her character quite a bit. I do think they reversed this a bit with the damages done arc that came after this where she literally gets some sense knocked into her, but I just don't like that they did this to bring some pretty meaningless drama between her and Raphael in this arc when it wasn't needed at all. Like if she just listened instead of bolting every time something she didn't like was going on things would have been resolved fairly quickly instead of this being dragged out like it was.
Hopefully they can repair her character a bit more going into the next phase of the comic, but I don't know if Jason Aaron will care much about her and might just write her out of the story. I suspect this is going to happen to a lot of the side characters that were introduced in Sophie's run so they can focus on a tighter story. There's just too many of them to juggle for what seems like a back to basics reset of the story. We'll have to see.
Anyway if she doesn't return I'll just be happy with Alopex's character arc up to issue 105, after that I just wasn't really a fan of the direction she was being taken.
Agreed. I still think she's an awesome character.
A lot of the last sec decisions came from the head honchos. Sophie never wanted this to happen to Alopex, she worked hard into writing her into the clan and giving her a new life. Same for Casey who we didn't see as much, there simply was no time for her to explore his character because the higher-ups needed to wrap this series before the soft reboot. Which explains why so many of the side characters were kicked out in a way.
@@thevoidofquestions Well that's a shame if that's the case. I'd hate her last appearance in the comics to be a bit of a bitter note like it was. I'm hoping they bring her back after the reboot and reunite her with the clan again. I'd also like her and Raphael to make up, but I can see them keeping them broken up.

Issue 100-150 are pretty bad, Sophie Campbell can’t write. I enjoyed to series up to mutant town.
