I like the necro change, spamming self revive was obnoxious on either end. I like the faster burn times and more restrictions on putting out fire, on top of existing hyperavailability of fire sources. For teams, downed teammates need to be a strict anchor point unless the team decides to just abandon the player - the remaining players need to be required to deal with the issue quickly or fuck off. As for solos, the purpose of self revive is to give you and advantage in trades against teams and the ability to recover from being downed IF you have positioned correctly so that the enemy cannot reach your body to cover it fast enough.
Solo necro was never meant for camping your own corpse until the enemies leave or praying that they don't have fire or chain reviving until you finally catch someone off guard. This change will get rid of all that while buffing the scenario where you are using self revive tactically - having full restoration means covering your body is no longer as simple as aiming at the place you dropped to with a 125+ dmg to bodytap rifle even if your body drops into cover, and the cooldown reduction equals less time to reach you safely equals more positions you can fight from and still recover from eating a headshot.
HOWEVER, I think just having the trait stack once with no default way to recharge it is a mistake - with only one use per game (unless you find a random trait spur with necro from a meathead or something) we will see solos go back to the pre-self revive way of playing solo - minimal aggression, maximum rat tactics, but now insured against a single fuckup. The solution wouldn't be to just allow you to stack it because with the restoration buff that would just lead to the exact same issues with burning as we have now, what I would like is to have necro be rechargeable - so you get the trait and you can use it once per match, but it doesn't go away like a burn trait, it just becomes inactive until you enter a new match OR until you trigger any restoration effect (obviously not including it's own restoration when you self revive). That way you could have a fight, need to necro yourself, and if you win or get out alive you can keep playing, banish a boss (or even find remedy or rampage out in the world) and be ready again to fight over the token. If that proves too weak for solos (remember the game needs a healthy solo population and they need to be incentivized to actually play the game and not extract immediately after using necro once), you could even have it so looting a player recharges it. Either way the system they went with won't be good enough - having it be a burn trait means its either not good enough because most of the time you get to do it once per match, and letting it stack above 1 goes right back to the chain revive clownfiesta but even worse because now you get up at full hp every time.

as a solo player 6star + 1.8 kd. this is necro buff 100%. VERY rarely do you ever get anything from ur 2nd + res. not only do people expect another res after ur first, but after ur 2nd u are down to 100hp meaning almost every primary weapon can 1 shot body. But now you will get to res and get ALL ur health back with no need to use resilience along side. its not much but these 3 perk points can be used else where (for me i do love good ol' gator legs or even bulwark + dauntless). They even mentioned they will shorted the timer before solo players can self revive. This is a huge buff. The number of times ive been downed but by the time i can res an enemy team has pushed my body is insane. Typically now a days i dont even bother with necro i just play my one life then live to regret my choices when i die with a perfect res opportunity 😂
TLDR: Res with full health good. no need for resilience good. self res'ing more than 1 times USUALLY ends in u dying again anyways with very little gain, might as well just go back to lobby

also it makes big bar on right more viable witch helps with not loosing bars to burning and general hp management

Good that someone else have seen necro chance as good buff
Like you are burning then at very last sec you just jump up like nothing happened
Having 3 huge bars is somehting i have missed long time

It certainly removes the part where I have to spent time camping solo bodies drastically. I would be stupid not to wait to kill/burn out solos if they can comeback so often. It is one gun less I have to worry about in my back. You cant reasonably let a solo live, the chances of him killing me by shooting me in the back is way to high. Next thing is that people who used necro to derank will also have a harder time doing that. Is it the ideal change for Necro? Probably not. Is it still a good change? Yes.

I hope bullet drop turns out horrible they revert it back to original same goes to infinite headshot range.
All i want from hunt is hop on the game and play like yesterday/week/month ago nothing crazy
i had 0 issues with solo tbh it was just mandatory push him burn him camp him protocol for safety if solo won he won, another match
    good vid tho :)

Completely agree. It's a rant before any actual changes have been made. I'm just looking purely from a solo's perspective. Probably should've started with that.

I play solo most of the time and I think this change is great. Maybe you'll have to step up your game, but if you die, to me twice, maybe you just lost the fight. I never pick necro when I play solo because I hate it when other people do and this trait is in no way necessary for successful solo play. I also think the changes to necro for teams make a lot of sense. I fully understand that you think necro makes you better because dying twice or three times a round makes sure you always play against people way below your skill level. I think the solo mmr advantage should be removed as well. Playing solo is about outsmarting your opponents and not just getting advantages and brute forcing kills against less skilled players. You shouldn't have necro at all until you learn to play without it. If you don't use it you wont have whine about your body being camped. Obviously people are gonna "camp" your body, thats the only way to deal with solos.

Howdy, just got back to this comment, sorry.
My thing is, I don't always use necro (especially now in preparation for the coming update). However, when I use necro, the far greater issue is taking on an engagement (typically between 8-20 meters-which by the way is about the average fight distance), and trading with a trio right away after plotting a near perfect ambush. I understand people abuse necro and I said in the video I'm for a rework, but there are greater things to be fixed.
And lets be honest, the people saying that necro isn't meant for short ranged engagements have clearly been refusing to believe it's even in the game. Necro is used at anytime strategically because, like having teammates that leave after 2 go down instead of fighting, they make the conscious decision to lose the risk. Why can't a solo, who has every disadvantage other than an mmr filter, have the same luxury?
[but to fit the general comment in here, I don't think it makes me better because I've been consistently learning this game. Only 250 hours in and I'm scraping the 4 star mark, and I truly believe necro hasn't had an influence on that whatsoever. If anything, it's kept me in action, learning from mistakes in real time. I'm not sure what your disdain for necro is as a 'scummy trait', because it truly levels the playing field of solo v trio play. And I want to refer you to the personally generated meme on 4:14 to answer your last sentence.]
      Appreciate your time.

i played alot of this game over 3 or 4 years over 1k hours. I do not like the solo changes and bullet drop. 1 playing as a solo is difficult as is. when they changed necro for solos it was a great change. now they are nerfing it into the basement. it feels like instead of making it a burn trait it should just have a cap number of solos revives not this or just leave it alone. i really don't know there's alot they can change necro but they are missing the mark. 2 bullet drop on top of velocity is painful, don't get me wrong in some games it's great but I don't want to play a sim. velocity alone makes it difficult, if you don't use HV ammo. I have a feeling long ammo is still going to be the meta and I'm guessing if and when they add bullet drop it will work out something like this:
compact: low velocity, low drop off
medium: medium velocity, low drop off
long: high velocity, heavy drop off
idc, I don't like it, I just don't want it

    What are your thoughts?

    • @curcubicolor8146

I think you just get a better necro for solos, with a lower cd on revive every second is a big buff to reviving earlier, so in situations where you could have revived on the live patch, let's say a headshot from medium-long range, you will have a full hp bar so no 1 taps to the body, if you trade with someone and their duo is coming to help them you would have a better chance reviving faster and with better hp bars compared to curent necro, the only balancing change I would add is allowing you to buy 2 necro charges. It is quite restrictive in the long run-time of a match to use necro in a spawn or first compound fight and you would instantly feel the need to leave the match as you no longer have a chance for a comeback. Also you can play a big bar at the end to counter fire ammo and hellfire bombs, lowering the chance of losing bars mid game. The only issue and nerf I see is the problem of using necro early in the match, being limited to 1 instance of it and then having to fight 2 or 3 more teams without it, anyone would rather leave the game at that point.

They are definitely trying to speed up fight resolution for both squads and solos, although I hope not the gameplay itself since the game being a bit slower and more strategic than your everyday FPS. The only super worrying change in this whole update from my pov is the scuffed bullet drop they've announced.
