BurnerAckmanthis isn’t a race thing, it’s an old head thing, I wanna see players pimp the shit out of nasty HRs and pitchers like Trevor Bauer in the sport, it needs it, imagine if football players didn’t celebrate after a touchdown, or basketball players not celebrating after postering someone, it would make the game more fun to watch, which is exactly the issue baseball has had for years, look at guys over in Japan, they have fun, crowd gets super involved and the games are so enjoyable to watch, mlb needs to quit with the old time bs, and intentionally hitting players with the first pitch at bat should be grounds for an immediate multi game suspension

I completely understand getting annoyed when you get homered off of 17 times by one mad but that is no reason to try and hurt someone. Its baseball there are crazy stat lines all the time. I also understand that people are annoyed at Acuna for no hustling in the past, but he has cleaned up his act now, and winning the MVP should show that. I also believe that if you are good enough you should be able to be flashy. I like that Acuna is Flashy the dude hit 40 homers and stole 70 bases last year creating his own club while leading the league in hits. When you put up that stat line you should be able to be flashy. People getting mad at him for being good is outrageous, and to say he is ruining baseball shows that people are soft and going off pure emotion. I'm with you, how about we just allow sports to evolve with the times?
Football (Soccer) has been around for 200 years, in 1900 players didn't celebrate goals with anything more than a fist pump, and a polite golf clap from the crowd.
By the time when I was a kid, goal celebrations were just a guy running with his hands in the air, maybe one of his teammates might come over and give him a hug or a kiss on the forehead if it was a particularly important or spectacular goal.
But, there were occasional players that came along, mostly foreigners and youngsters, who began to celebrate more elaborately, and guess what? after some initial reluctance, the game evolved. Celebrations have gotten bonkers, to the point that they had to introduce rules to stop time wasting. you get a yellow card for taking your shirt off, not because it's considered crass or over the top, but because it wastes time having to wait for them to put it back on before the game can restart.
If Football can evolve with the times, I don't see why baseball can't.
The solution seems simple, allow celebrations, batflips, dancing etc, so long as you aren't time wasting too much.

18:22 Here's a little bit more context on the incident. It occurred during the Venezuelan league final between the Tiburones de La Guaira (La Guaira Sharks) and the Leones de Caracas (Caracas Lions). Both teams have a rivalry. They have played in the same stadium for decades. While the Leones are the teams with the most titles in the league, until this year, when they won the league (and the Caribean series :)), the Tiburones were the team with the second-longest curse in Latin America (and the longest in Venezuela). The last time Tiburones were champions before the course, they beat Leones in the final. Many Tiburones fans blame the Leones for being the cause of their course because the next year, Leones beat them with a no-hitter in the final. The main factor Acuña's family got attacked is that Leones' fans were not happy. Both teams DO NOT LIKE each other.

I pitched all the way up to Div.1. The players that are somehow blessed with natural ability to be a Major Leaguer are sometimes emotionally too immature to take in the Fame Machine. Acuña is one of those players. His ability makes him cocky. That cockiness is seen as arrogance. And that arrogance is what gets him plunked. Let's not also forget to mention that he crowds the plate. Any pitcher worth his salt is going to demand the outside corner back from any hitter especially a super young, super talented, and super cocky one. He now wears a huge, bright yellow(which last i checked was not a Braves team color-see flashy, bold, loud etc.)protector/shield/arm guard. This helps him to be fearless.
So now If it were me(being a huge Mets fan)I would plunk his arse every single time I faced him and twice on Sunday!!!U

I stopped pitching my senior year, and you are correct. Crowd my plate, and I'm pounding up and in until you back off so the lower thirds open up. Can't let batters be comfortable up there to dictate where you're going to paint 💪

I still don't understand the rules on pitching at players
Pitchers should be good enough to not hit the player, so rather than getting to first maybe being hit by pitch should give a run (when the pitch is outside the strike zone on the players side) meaning if the pitch is good but a player is hit (diving into it) it doesn't count

    • @cheogt4623
      @cheogt4623 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is absolutely ridiculous
"Pitchers should be good enough to not hit the player"
So players can completely crowd the plate
So pitchers apparently aren't throwing 95 mph anymore
So pitchers can't ever lose grip
So pitchers can't ever throw a bad breaking ball that doesn't break
