Whoever guessed that the Diamondbacks and the Rangers would face-off in the world series at the beginning of this year needs to go out and buy a lottery ticket, because they just might be the luckiest human being in the world. This year turned every single baseball stat upside-down and shook every last coin out of its pockets.
The greased poles is so funny to me because Philly literally has a history of pole climbing competitions (poles were greased to make it harder) going back to pre-American Revolution. Like this is literally what the people living there have done for drunken fun for over 200 years.
Least insane Phillies fan (not a Phillies fan. Mets fan. Lost it laughing at the AND ALWAYS THE METS part of that fuck you chant. I actually like the Phillies a lot.)
Phillies fans went from this incredibly uplifting story of supporting Turner through his abysmal start to the season to saying “eff him, he’s paid too much, we did better without him.” How predictable.
As predictable as bush league amateur drunk Phillies “fan” yelling at Merrill Kelly that he sucks….even though in actual reality he’s one of the best pitchers in the NL. But who cares about reality when you’re mentally retarded, am I right?
A Phillies fan? Saying shit then going back on their word(s) and crying after when they inevitably lose?! Naaaaah never once heard of that LOL. I still remember them losing the 2022 WS, they talked so much shit and kept the "We Want Houston" chant going, and then after the 3rd/4th game, there was a massive brawl outside and 2 people pulled out guns on each other (both Phillies fans LOL) because Astros fans were smiling and waving while walking away. That same year, there were 2 small TH-camrs who talked so much shit saying they'd eat literal shit/drink some nasty shit that I probably cant repeat without getting flagged and they both decided "No, the Astros just cheated so it doesn't count." lmao
It’s surprising that in baseball there are still players that talk smack before it’s all over. Like bro, baseball is perhaps the most famous of the major sports when it comes to unpredictable upsets.
A huge baseball account on IG that was a Phillies fan made a post saying, "We lost to a team that will get swept by the Rangers. This is BS" LOOOOOOLLLLLL
Yeah the Phillies lost to the National League Champions alright. But what people seem to be forgetting is that the Phillies lost, which is very important to people who like to see the Phillies lose. Those folks got what they wanted, as the Phillies lost two straight at home to lose the NLCS to the 84 win Diamondbacks In short ; the Phillies lost
@@KLil37Kelly didn’t start shit. Right before the sound byte taken out of context he said he was at game 5 last year in Philly so he KNEW how loud it was but didn’t have a baseline for comparison ON THE FIELD. That is when he brought up the WBC because that’s the only comparison he had.
Seeing the Phillies fans meltdown was amazing. They celebrated like they had already won it all, only to be silenced and humbled. It reminds me of the 1950 FIFA World Cup where Brazil was already celebrating like they won the cup because they were up against Uruguay. The newspapers, radio personalities, etc. were already congratulating Brazil. The manager of Uruguay saw this slander and showed it to the team riling them up. Brazil would lose 2-1. Also, the World Cup was held in Brazil that year. People at the time describe the stadium being the quietest place in the city when the final whistle blew. The moral lesson here is to never underestimate anyone and to stay humble to the very end.
These videos have been amazing. You've got me, a British football and cricket fan who follows NFL, a little bit of NBA and zero MLB, watching my first live baseball in years on TNT (formerly BT Sport), just because of the story-lines and enthusiasm they've been weaving and building.
Baseball is exciting for every reason you make the videos about, but the amount of Goosebumps and Euphoria I get when you compile everything together is through the roof
Both BDE and Jomboy's breakdowns are my two favorite channels regarding baseball on the tube. The only thing that mildly bothers me with BDE, is how he overpronounces words in the narration. It's certainly a natural voice, but still has this somewhat robotic cadence to it, lol.
I just have to point out the editing, music choice, and narrative style all work together perfectly. I don't even watch baseball but I love these videos for the production quality alone.
AZ native here. I've always loved our Snakes even if they've been bad for a long while now. It's just incredible to see them get as far as they can possibly go on the backs of rookies and house money. Everyone is salty and bitter and are refusing to acknowledge us. Our team is chaotic and it's been a wild ride, so I hope others can appreciate that, too!
You'd be salty if your 100 win team, who already won, is being penalized by being thrown into a short series with an 84 win team, who's only there because the league continues to expand things. And true, the Dbacks won. So did the "choker" teams...that's why they were higher seeds to begin with. But it's the arbitrary drawing of lines that gets me. We essentially say "oh these wins don't win crap, because they occurred here, but these do now that it's October". Trust me, when you have everything to lose and nothing to gain as a higher seed, you'll change your tune.
@draneym2003 cry me a river. The dodgers got humiliated. A extra couple days rest is not an excuse to get swept. If you can’t win in the playoffs then you were overrated in the regular season. I agree it shoulda been a 7 game series, but the dodgers weren’t coming back from 3-0 even if it was
Real question win or lose the series: will they pay their players like teams that try to win every year, or have a Marlins championship-like fire sale? Baseball owners can be the most miserly of sports owners and the Dbacks finding diamonds in the pool filter seems to reinforce the cheap behavior of “small market” teams.
If you are ever bored, watch the character development of a philly fan in the span of 5-6 days. They went from having 40k people yelling striders name to crying about losing the NLCS. As a brave's fan, I don't care that the braves lost and would consider the postseason a success.
In 1989, Jim Rooker said during a broadcast in a Pirates' road game in Philadelphia, said "If we don't win this one, I don't think I'd want to be on that plane ride home. Matter of fact, if we don't win, I'll walk back to Pittsburgh." after the Pirates had such a huge lead after the first inning (10 runs) that he believed it impossible for Philadelphia to turn it around. Which they did and the Pirates lost 11 to 10. Nobody let him back down, and he indeed walked the entire way from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, all 300 plus miles of it. Chris Russo said he would retire on the spot if the Diamondbacks beat the Phillies in the last two games, and backs down, because he is not a man, he is a child in a man's body, that has zero style and zero credibility in anything he says, has said, or will say, and the only reason he has a job is because he talks so much that people just tune in to hear whatever crazy thing he might say next. He is not a sport journalist, or a journalist of any kind, but a clown. And any show that has him, as a main broadcaster or as a guest, also has zero credibility.
@@SeanHartnett-t8c He turned it into a charity walk after the end of the season (when he'd actually have time to do a walk that long). There was support iirc, but he still ended up with fucked up blistered feet from it.
This year has been a win for baseball. From the World Baseball Classic, to this season featuring the tightest division race unimaginable, a Texan baseball rivalry becoming for real, and an underdog team shocking the world like no other. One of the best and most chaotic seasons indeed
D-Backs silencing Phillies fan is quite satisfying. i can’t deny the intensity of Phillies fans, i can appreciate it, and its always fun watching them play. hell of a crowd. But this is why you never celebrate early. Baseball is a weird sport where anything happens, especially in a psotseason but with the astros and rangers, its kinda why winning the division don’t matter when you are eliminated. Given the astros was the only that made it since every other team that took their division was eliminated
Yeah, this season is proof anything can happen. The worst team to make the playoffs, who barely went above .500 and only made it thanks to the recent changes in the playoffs structure, is now in the world series.......
Seeing both the Philies and the Astros get absolutely fucking embarrassed was beyond the normal definition of heavenly. Excellent coverage as always BDE
@@promptpunk360 If the Astros lost to the twins or got swept/gentlemen swept by the rangers, then it would have been embarrassing lol. Most Astros fans didn't even think we would make the playoffs at one point this year, since we got swept by the royals twice and the athletics near the end of the season. The phillies on the other hand, lost to the diamondbacks, who on paper should've lost to the dodgers, who also got embarrassed.
There was nothing embarrassing about the Astros losing. It was a lackluster season compared to previous years. Making it to ALCS game 7 was quite a surprise.
This year got me back into baseball and I think I love it more than I ever have now. Cool to see the Orioles clinch the AL east division and the entire postseason has been unbelievably entertaining.
As a Philly fan, I went into crippling depression for 3 weeks. I’m AFRAID OF SNAKES THANKS TOO THE DBACKS. But I still believe in Philly #Fightingphills
I followed the NLCS, and what most fans don't realize is that you don't win the world series by hitting home runs. You don't win it by having enthusiastic fans. You don't win by excessive celebrations. You win it by solid pitching, timely hitting, defense, strategy, sometimes manufacturing runs, and keeping a level head. The Phillies thought they could win the world series by feeding off emotion, and hitting home runs. They were sorely mistaken. How many times have you seen Philadelphia hit multiple home runs in a game where the crowd is rocking, the players are high-fiving each other, and they get shut out the next game? During the world series last year, the Phillies hit five home runs is a game, and the next day they got no-hit. This is baseball. You have to have a complete team to win. You can't just exhibit enthusiasm, hit home runs and win the world series. Screaming fans don't win world series. Neither do players who try to use adrenaline to win. Eventually, the adrenaline wears out, and you lose... BTW, the Phillies hit 11 home runs in NLCS against Arizona, but only drove in 12 runs with those home runs. What does that stat tell you?
Too many solo shots, not enough hits or manufactured runs. The Phillies batting style is way too one dimensional, it's Home Run, Walk or Bust. They've been doing this exact same strategy during the postseason since 2008, except back then, they actually had quality starting rotation and the best bullpen in the world to back up their home run or bust offense. So what do you think about Team Japan during this year's WBC? What did you think about how that team functioned?
I seriously don't understand how HRs and Walks (OBP) have become so overvalued in just 2-3 years, especially when they're both desired together. This year in particular really took a leap in terms of terrible batting with tons of players literally not even trying to make contact and just whiffing on power swings. Luckily I'm only interested in the stats and don't watch games as there's far less action with the TTO explosion. First I think it's preposterous to give the same value to any Walk as a Single, yet that's what has happened and it should be immediately apparent why it's wrong. There's so many solo HRs and nobody moves on bases; it's incredibly ease to inflate your stats by not swinging and taking some Walks as they're basically triple-counted. Batting
If Phillies fans can acknowledge & dislike the Braves fans over all their arrogance, braggadociousness, & conceitedness, why can't they recognize it in themselves?
Yeah they celebrated like they won a championship and haven't won anything since 2008...... yeah the braves lost to them in 22 and 23, but at least they won a championship 2 years ago. Phillies players were celebrating and being too cocky and it backfired on them and their arrogant fans. This is baseball, karma and superstitions will bite a team in the ass, hard.
I visited Philadelphia many times over the years and always thought "City of Brotherly Love" was the most backwards moniker ever given. The people there were always awful. Best story of this year is them losing.
As a Rangers fan, I loved watching their games. Baseball is better for their fans, the atmosphere in those games is unreal. I went to college at LSU and went to every home football game while I was there and I wish baseball had more of that type of atmosphere, and the Phillies fans are the closest to that. I get how frustrating it may be as a team facing them, but I think it would be awesome if more stadiums brought that energy.
@@Alexander_Grant It would be one thing if they were just emphatic and support of their team, but they're just toxic. I disagree that they're good for baseball. I don't even think they're good for Philadelphia.
@@JonDC70 Toxic is such an overused word in my opinion, it doesn't even mean much anymore. The point is to disrupt the other team, same idea as the 12th man in football. There's definitely lines that can be crossed, but as long as there's nothing like racism, violence, or stuff being thrown onto the field, I'm all for the audience getting to other players. Arcia losing his cool from the fans getting to him is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. I guess it'll just be difference in opinions. I played high school baseball as a pitcher, and when we traveled to South Louisiana for games, and there would be high school kids pull up next to the fence in their pickups with a case of beer while we were in the outfield during warmups and heckle us, then they'd move to the stands and heckle us while we were pitching. Those were my favorite games I ever played. I guess I just love a hostile crowd.
@@Alexander_Grant The fans "antics" are just that, people trying way too hard to be intimidating. . .and failing. Any player who actually makes it to the MLB and is "intimidated" by the opposing team's fans doesn't belong in the MLB. Be a pro and just laugh at the other team's fans pathetic attempts to upset you. How could you possibly care what some goof in the stands shouts at you? How?
As a Rangers fan for life, this has been a really fun postseason. At the start of the season I hoped for them to contend for a while, and get ready for next season. In July, I was happy they were still in it. In August, I was happy they were still in it. In September, I was happy they were still in it. In October, I never would have dreamed, they would still be in it. I am still riding the high from them beating the Astros even after an amazing game 1. It has been a fun ride, but I want more...
Seeing the diamondbacks celebrate winning that series infront of phillies fans was magical. They talked so much crap and were saying theyd jump in the pool when they clench in Arizona, boy wete they wrong 😂
Those Phillies fans are absolutely bananas. I live in Tampa so I cannot fathom what a baseball stadium with actual diehard fans would be like. Well.... I can imagine it. But the fans are always Yankees and Red Sox fans.
Go look at those Yankee teams in the 90s. The stadium was constantly shaking every game. People thought the stadium would collapse due to the noise. Fans right on top of you, a dynasty before their eyes. Not even close.
MLB has control of who's winning or who's not! They pushing Phillies and Yankees every year and wants Harpers to be the MVP,Sports Sucks, bets has change the course! mafia!
Watching Philly's fans get so high and then get so low and come back to reality was the best feeling all postseason How could you not love that even if your teams was not in the playoffs That alone hade me tuning in just to see them get a taste of reality lmao!
Something that I think is getting forgotten is the fact that in the beginning of August the Diamondbacks were only a few ganes out of the 1st spot of the NL West but lost 9 games in a row and ended the year on a 4 game losing streak, they are better than their record shows (obviously since they are in the WS) but are more like an 90-87 win team imo. The Rangers actually benefited from not winning the division so that they coukd have 4 road games against one of the worst home teams in the league tied with the Red Sox and Pirates for 10th worst, teams like the Guardians and Mets had a better home record but their overall record was atleast 14 games worst than the Astros (not to mention they won all away games vs Rangers but lost all home games). In fact the Astros went 1-5 in home games this postseason (not great)
I liked the Phillies last year vs the Astros but this year I saw how horrific their fans behaved and I started actively rooting for their downfall. (And when it arrived I enjoyed every minute)
It may be my inner New Yorker talking but like I feel like Philly’s sports fans are on the same level or even a higher level of toxicity than us. Like Jesus are they brutal, having grown up around them as a New York fan, it’s been rough.
Because the dbacks only got into playoffs unfairly. Old baseball was better. You dont deserve to go into postseason if you dont play well in REGULAR SEASON. DBACKS ARE CLOWNS AND ITS CONFIRMED THEY WERE STEALING SIGNS
As an Arizonian who has been loosely following baseball for the past few years, it was really weird checking in and seeing the Diamondbacks in the world series.
DBacks fan. My Grandparents are Brewers fans, so I was just glad to see them play each other. Then the Dodgers series I didn’t even actually watch, I hate the Dodgers more than any other MLB team and the fact that we swept them will bring me joy for the next year. I didn’t expect us to win the NLCS, but once I saw Pfaadt was starting game 7 I was like ‘Holy shit we have a shot’. From what I’ve seen of him he’s looked great, and I’m just shocked one of my sports teams (DBacks and LA Chargers) finally make a big finale. Snakes Alive! 🐍🐍
@MMALifestyle1972 Philly will always be the worst fan base for any sport, but acting like a fanbase that refuses to acknowledge how they cheated to win a world series is any better is just wrong. Everyone wins when the Astros lose, good riddance
@@BroskiBigDuck I think Astros fans don't like that we only get the blame for it, when the Red Sox did the same thing in 2018, a year they also won a title. And then they also exaggerate how much we cheated like with the completely bs buzzer theory that has been debunked for years now. Also comparing Houston to Philly is laughable, we aren't a city full of racist ass people that taunt and belittle other teams players lol. Every pro-athlete would rather live and play in Houston, then Philly, not even debatable. They boo their own players when they do bad, something Houston fans don't do. James Harden choked for years, we never boo'd that man. Altuve was horrible last post-season, we didn't boo that man. Jose Abreu and Pena and Maldonado were garbage this entire season, we never boo'd them.
@MMALifestyle1972 If someone spit in your face, are you then going to give that person a handshake down the line? No, no I wouldn't personally. You earn respect by showing respect, cheaters don't deserve forgiveness because they only cared that they got caught. Time is going to be the only kind of forgiveness the Astros will get from most MLB fans, just hoping people forget they cheated nationally. Their fans that know all of that and refuse to see how bad it is, that is just the icing on the horrible cake that is the trash can team Astros.
I just like a good ball game. I never understood people hating if the 'opposing' team plays great. I do understand if your preferred team plays like crap though.
It feels like sports in general including players and fans, are just all Karen's and Ken's now. I used to go to sporting events to get away from life for a bit. Now sports seems to be helping the decline of the western civilization.
I’ve been a diehard Snakes fan since ‘98, and Game 1 was absolutely a top-notch fighting effort from Texas. We were three outs away and you guys snatched it back, have to tip my hat. After the rancor of the LCS, let’s keep it classy and play World Series baseball!
You know what I wish? We were in the same division with the Phillies, Nationals, and the Yankees, or the Mets, or both. A baseball mirror of the NFL East.
Yeah same here. Especially since the DBacks were the worst team to make the playoffs barely went above .500 and only made it thanks to the recent changes in the playoffs structure.
The best quote I’ve heard was “Texas fans (all Texas teams) are proud while Philadelphia fans are toxic” it describes the teams perfectly both in baseball and football.
The regular season has officially become pointless. At this point opening day is October 1 not April 1.There is absolutely no reason to watch 162 game now that half the league makes the playoffs and the playoffs are designed to give bad teams an advantage. Imagine if the Dbacks win the World Series. We would have a borderline.500 team as champions. They will enter next year predicted to finish third in their division and 20 games behind the Dodgers or Padres. They will be the “champions “ even though nobody sees them that way. MLB needs to change the format.. In the regular season teams depend on 5 starters and about 7 relievers. In the playoffs they depend on 2-3 starters and 4-5 relievers. They need to stop with all the off days in the playoffs. There should NEVER be 3 off days in a 5 games series, never, that’s absolutely absurd and it’s the only reason why the Braves lost and aren’t in the World Series, that combined with the 5 days off prior to their 5 game series with 3 offdays.. OR if they are gonna keep all the off days (for their greedy TV money collection) then make a rule where teams have to use at least 4 starters in the LDS, LCS and WS. Teams with 2 really good starters and nothing else in their rotation shouldn’t be able to pitch those 2 starters 4 times in a 5 game series on full rest. Absolutely not. And if taking away off days hurts their piggy banks then make up for it by expanding the LDS from 5 games to 7 games.
I'm a Phillies fan, this post season run has got me mad in 100 different ways and honestly all of it is directed at the team and fanbase. It's like we all got way too cocky and complacent after beating Atlanta. First of all, Stubbs was an idiot for saying he was gonna celebrate in the Diamondbacks' pool, like way to give that team motivation to NOT let it happen. Plus the other fans buying seats at Chase Field just to make sure they are empty was shitty behavior, I'm embarrassed of those people. And of course the sudden collapse is just baffling. I was so mad with the way the team just laid down and died out of absolutely nowhere that by game 7 I was hoping they wouldn't win. If you blow a two game lead and then follow it up by shitting the bed at home so hard that people leave before the game is over then you don't deserve to go to the World Series. And don't get me started on how much everyone is paid, I hope they enjoy sleeping on their piles on money in the off season, ugh. Last year's loss in the World Series sucked, but at the same time nobody expected them to make it that far, it was a true Cinderella run. This year the expectation was that they'd take what they learned from last year's post season and actually win this time, a true redemption arc. And for the first two rounds, it actually felt like it was gonna happen. I hope they actually learn from what happened this time and truly come back to win it all next year, there are no more excuses.
Good to know there are Philly fans who are self aware. Good on you. Should Philly win it all next year, however, the way your fanbase and players wear that could be very interesting considering the collective history of behavior.
As a Braves fan, I extend my appreciation to y’all for having the grace and poise to have plenty of material, but opting for the comparatively gentle “D-U-I” chant at Ozuna. 🙏
@@TheHENpp remembering how we all were after the 2008 World Series (or more recently how everyone was after the Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2018) I don't see us becoming that much more obnoxious 😂 our teams never stay good for long, and we're always the first fanbase to turn on our own players once they stop delivering. I feel like we talk a lot of shit because we get a lot of shit from everyone else, it's hard to know where it all began lol. Philly people love to turn up and get rowdy but it's mostly in good fun, we only reserve true vitriol for the rivals.
Seeing how the Rangers and the Diamondbacks made the World Series this season reminded me of how Morocco and Croatia made the semifinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, especially Morocco.
Croatia is a very very good team, I'm not sure you are on the right path with the comparison lol. They came in 2nd place in 2018 and got worse in 2022 lol.
“this is probably the greatest moment of my life I had kids they were born but they kinda disappointed me and I don’t think the Phillies are gonna disappoint me” 💀
Reminds me of when the D-Backs won the WS in 2001. Everyone just assumed the Yankees were gonna be handed the title because 9/11 was still fresh on people's minds, and Arizona just kind of waltzed in with their own two towers (Johnson and Schilling) and spoiled everything.
18:06 I love how during this altercation you can see Yordan Alvarez from the Astros to the side with Garcia trying to calm him down, and none of the Rangers are trying to stop him 😂
I'm kind of surprised you didn't mention Abreu hitting Garver with a pitch in Game 6, but to be fair, i guess nothing really came of it though. We were all shocked that Abreu got away with pushing his suspension to next season, and him beaning Garver kind of felt like a big "fuck you" to us for troubling him haha
This hurts to rewatch as a Phillies fan, but I have to. I feel bad for Turner, Harper, and all of the other guys who are under fire. We’ll make it next year guys.
BDE is honestly better than ESPN for baseball. The important stuff, great writing, enough stats to keep us stat nerds happy, and as always, hype for all things crazy.
Sports betting has ruined sports. Think about it: it’s the only way to totally control the market. Once all the bets are in, simple, whoever didn’t get bet on the most that’s who you have win. That way the ‘House’ always stays ahead. That’s why when sports betting went national, only half NBA teams were ‘signed on’ for the betting system. Now they are all on board. Teams and players are getting ‘kickbacks’ now. Why do you think College players can now make money as well. Nothing about sports will ever make sense again.

The Rangers deserved their win, so I can't be too mad at them either! We'll get 'em next year >:D
Baseball is the most unpredictable sport. The best teams on paper will usually make the playoffs, but get eliminated more often than not. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the Best NBA teams usually win it all; having a Lebron or Curry can impact your team in ways that an Ohtani or Trout simply cannot due to the differing nature of the game (i.e. limited at bats). Winning Rings as an argument for ranking players is more valid for the NBA than it is for MLB. Ken Griffey Jr, Barry Bonds, and Ichiro Suzuki have no Rings...Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, and Jackie Robinson only have 1 ring, yet they are all considered among the greatest of all time. Long Story Short? Baseball is Chaos.
Man this dude can write a gripping story line!!!! Who knew something that doesnt exist could be so excitingly awesome!!! I cant wait to see what happens next! One can dream thats for sure, but one thing is for certain..... This show just keeps getting better and better!!!!!!!!
Baseball should do what international/club soccer does: have multiple tournaments/champions. You could keep the 162-game schedule, crown a regular season Champion, maybe have a best of 7 between the 2 best-record teams from the AL/NL for those who want to watch an old school World Series between the 2 truly best teams. Then, let half the league join a sweet sixteen tournament bracket, call it the October Cup, to satisfy the owners, gamblers, and those who want to see random winners/losers, upsets, etc. as teams play through best of 1/3/5 game sets
As a DBacks fan, seeing the Phillies eat it is so, so satisfying. As for the rangers and their fans, they were actually respectful to us, so y'know what, good game y'all. Two unlikely competitors upsetting the whole league. Legends

It’s surprising that in baseball there are still players that talk smack before it’s all over. Like bro, baseball is perhaps the most famous of the major sports when it comes to unpredictable upsets.
People who talk smack use it to pysc themselves up and also distract you and throw you off your game. Its just a tactic.
@@WolvesBaseballNinecowboys fans know that strategy all too well. Win a little bit, start talking trash, don’t make it to the superbowl, repeat.
A huge baseball account on IG that was a Phillies fan made a post saying, "We lost to a team that will get swept by the Rangers. This is BS" LOOOOOOLLLLLL
to be fair the Phillies would've probably gotten swept by the Rangers also!
Yeah the Phillies lost to the National League Champions alright. But what people seem to be forgetting is that the Phillies lost, which is very important to people who like to see the Phillies lose. Those folks got what they wanted, as the Phillies lost two straight at home to lose the NLCS to the 84 win Diamondbacks
In short ; the Phillies lost
You can't disrespect your opponent the way the Phillies did. Nothing good can come of it.

Philly sports fans are known assholes. That’s why it made their elimination all the better. 😂

Same with the rangers been trash for so long and to finally get so far is more than enough

The year the world was turned upside down
@@Amanisnoone01 no, that was 2020
I followed the NLCS, and what most fans don't realize is that you don't win the world series by hitting home runs.
Batting

I could care less for baseball never even watched a full game but I keep coming back for these videos. You crush at making interesting videos!

Rigged!!!
Croatia is a very very good team, I'm not sure you are on the right path with the comparison lol. They came in 2nd place in 2018 and got worse in 2022 lol.
You're clearly not American 😅
You do a better job explaining the race to the world series than anyone else. That got me pumped.
"Strider is your brother luigi here?" lol😂😂😂😂😂😂 All the heckling was funny af.
It’s crazy how there is so much info on something that doesn’t exist
“Strider! Is your brother Luigi?!”
Okay that made me chuckle a bit and I don’t know why. I feel bad for him though, mainly cause fans can be ruthless
18:06 I love how during this altercation you can see Yordan Alvarez from the Astros to the side with Garcia trying to calm him down, and none of the Rangers are trying to stop him 😂
Yordan Alvarez is weirdly a nice guy despite his intimidating appearance and stature...
I thought that was weird too but the white guys don't speak Cuban so Yordan was in a sense the referee.
@@jeanie8831 You mean Spanish.
Year of underdogs both Rangers and Dbacks not expected to win the World Series but now they're here hopefully we get a series for the ages
Game 2 didn't exactly help in this regard, but it's still a great series to watch.
This hurts to rewatch as a Phillies fan, but I have to. I feel bad for Turner, Harper, and all of the other guys who are under fire. We’ll make it next year guys.
same here. Phillies on top.
Your channel is about the only thing that can make baseball interesting and it does it spectacularly
BDE is honestly better than ESPN for baseball. The important stuff, great writing, enough stats to keep us stat nerds happy, and as always, hype for all things crazy.
How can playoffs of a sport that doesn’t exist make any sense? 😮
Man, Your content has gotten me back in to baseball. Great stuff.
That must be very hard to have a baseball channel with their insane copyright claim
Nah that Luigi comment was good tho😂😂😂
You know this video is awesome when you're getting *Alan Fisher* vibes when talking about the Phillies and their fans.
Now I understand why the Armchair Urbanist (Alan Fisher) chose to move to Philadelphia 🤣😂😅👍💯
Phillies fans doing the Tomahawk chant was classic lol
Thankfully, the Phillies lost at the end of the day...
@@rustyshackelford4224 Phillie fans got snake bitten and humbled by the Dbacks 😉
And now the phrase "Snakes Alive" has been banned in the city 😂😂
Hardcore diamondbacks fan, was super proud just to make it to the post-season lmao! Even though we didn't win the World Series, we still made it and that's something to be proud of, especially after years and years of embarrassment and upset. The Rangers deserved their win, so I can't be too mad at them either! We'll get 'em next year >:D
Good job on your team. I’m a braves fan and it was a pleasure watching the Dbacks stomp the Phillies.
@@DJShire_ATL those sweeps were glorious!
As a Rangers fan, I can only really say one thing to Arizona.....Same time next year?
“STRIDER! IS YOUR BROTHER LUIGI HERE?!” I’M DEAD. LMAFOOOOOOOOOO.
MLB's rigged and scripted, mate.
And I love every ounce of it. This is what I love about pro sports. Nothing like a good underdog story
when philly loses, we all win
Man this dude can write a gripping story line!!!! Who knew something that doesnt exist could be so excitingly awesome!!! I cant wait to see what happens next! Kind of hoping for something similar to futurama style blurnsball changes for the next season myself. Maybe get a one eyed lady pitcher??????
Legends
