Most airlines lie to you and deceive economy class (lower, working class) people into thinking they can afford a flight to an exotic destination with sun kissed beaches, and beautiful landscapes, or that they will be treated to a luxury lifestyle in economy class instead of dealing with screaming babies and cramped seats.
This airline gives you reality.

One of the biggest issues with my job as an international smuggler is a metal detector detecting the guns and gold bullion about my person. I believe that is what you will get, as for one thing it is compulsory to provide excellent safety during your flight. I doubt their cabin crew will be anything other than normal, lovely people. But what about that ad campaign!? It has the whole world talking about VA, complaining and registering an emotional response, which is the sole job of the ad people. It is a resounding success I believe.

These adverts shouldn't be about the "diversity" of the team, they should be about the service quality, the beautiful destinations they fly to, etc. I think the 3.1k likes and 45k dislikes says it all.

I wish this exact version was available on her album but it's sang slightly different . Bummer. The end of this particular song is the highlight to me.

The advert was exaggerated to invoke emotion and grab our attention. LGBTQ is more toned down irl and they’re just trying to live. Also this advert only shows snap shots to highlight the crew in a way that makes you notice it. This doesn’t show the full picture and you can’t really judge the people or the airline from a few seconds of video or conclude that they are “ill minded”.
Everything is more exaggerated in the media and I think the purpose of this advert was to receive praise/recognition for promoting diversity like a lot of companies these days.
You need to step outside to see that inclusivity and diversity isn’t something drastic or crazy like a “circus”.

I think this advert is one of the best Virgin Adverts yet , it reflects diversity in todays modern society, and the song is very powerful

Me neither. The ad company that made this knew exactly how to form a wonderful campaign, and Virgin's profile has been lifted beyond belief through it. Well done to them; I love this ad and have watched it numerous times just for enjoyment. Surely that has GOT to be a good thing?

These were exacty the sort of ad for which companies paid top whack, because when the surprise of seeing the content has long gone, we will still remember the brand. The most aggravating, infuriating ads may seem like a disaster to the client, but please believe me that an ad has a primary function to elicit an emotional response, what ever that emotion may be. If you are non-plussed by it then it is a dismal failure, but this ad, shocking, disgusting, infuriating or whatever emotion it elicited has I am certain increased brand awareness in virgin. They KNOW what works because they see the sales graphs, and for every 'disgusted of Tunbridge Wells' there are ten who don't know why but were pleased to book with Virgin. It's all down to an emotional response.
