One of the biggest issues with my job as an international smuggler is a metal detector detecting the guns and gold bullion about my person. Most airlines lie to you and deceive economy class (lower, working class) people into thinking they can afford a flight to an exotic destination with sun kissed beaches, and beautiful landscapes, or that they will be treated to a luxury lifestyle in economy class instead of dealing with screaming babies and cramped seats.

I believe that is what you will get, as for one thing it is compulsory to provide excellent safety during your flight. I doubt their cabin crew will be anything other than normal, lovely people. But what about that ad campaign!? It has the whole world talking about VA, complaining and registering an emotional response, which is the sole job of the ad people. It is a resounding success I believe.

These adverts shouldn't be about the "diversity" of the team, they should be about the service quality, the beautiful destinations they fly to, etc. I think the 3.1k likes and 45k dislikes says it all.

I wish this exact version was available on her album but it's sang slightly different . Bummer. The end of this particular song is the highlight to me.

If that’s your understanding of the advertisement I think you’ve completely misunderstood its purpose. It’s been designed to show support to LGBT+ people who may have felt misrepresented/ completely unrepresented within society in the past… this is Virgin’s way of using their platform to show their respect and acknowledgment of this group in a way that is meaningful and positive. For years there has been a gross over-representation of a particular demographic within the media and this ad is clearly a push towards the inclusivity of others. They aren’t aiming to detract anything from other groups (whether that be other minorities or the majority) but rather uplift those that may need more support. In a time with such hatred and anger in people’s hearts, we should be spreading more positivity and love for all, but especially those who have been mistreated and misunderstood in the past. Also it’s not really an issue of race when various ethnicities were featured along with both people with disability and those without…it seems like you just have a problem with the inclusion of LGBT+ people. I don’t understand why some people feel by giving LGBT+ people EQUAL rights and representation as non-LGBT+ people, it somehow takes those rights away from others. It’s like saying if you give both straight people and gay people $50 each, they both gain $50… no one loses in the fight for equality… except those that are too ignorant to understand love is love.

Even though the advert is about Virgin Atlantic Airways, as i am a physically disabled person, i find the words have a meaning to my disability.
I’ve cancelled my flight with Virgin and switched to BA, as after watching this advert I feel being a white male I’m not the sort of customer Virgin wish to have onboard their aircraft anymore.

I love this advert! You saying you’re not going to fly with Virgin anymore is probably a good idea. Being able express yourself is still being professional.
