I wanna say, you have improved my art journey so much. Not just off your tutorials or the way you do art, but how you view it. You're real, and tell it how it is. You taught me to realize my goals with art, 27 now and I thought I was past the age to start drawing again. It's crazy that a lot of my issues was just mental, and impatience. Slow down, work towards fixing my issues/mistakes, and realizing art isnt about it looking good at the start, but the journey, ambition and dedication towards the end. Thanks brother.

I think DD Mark understood the point of manga, and the point of art in general a long time ago..., it's therapy, for the artist or for the audience, or some combination of both 90/10, 70/30, 20/80, depending on how messed up you are or how big your heart is.by therapy I mean like medication like tylonel for a headache or vicks/ice when you're sore. Art is the medication for the dreariness and bloody hooks that eat away at your soul, at the vision you have for ideals or karmic Justice. Art is that little pill, that cough syrup that makes life 1% or 80% more tolerable based on how old you are, how tough you've been,or how cowardly you've been.

I think Art [specifically] drawing is like singing. It's the communication of feelings into the world. The best songs that last decades like Jumper by third eye blind or johnny cash hurt..drawing is like that..you communicate these emotions on paper, the better you are and clearer you are with your thoughts like I'm hungry,my main character is hungry,the better you can translate that on paper,the better you can express the emotions of your character, the better you can put on paper the scene you have in your head the better your art is. If it doesn't meet the standards in your head like a hit pop song like call me maybe Carly Rae jepson, then at least on paper communicate or depict the intention or energy of your vision.drawing good is easy, its communication. Talk more gooder. And you'll be amazed by the strides on how your art communicates. Don't speak in Spanish or sign language, make your art speak English..make it easy and clear for your audience to understand your intentions,your emotions, your interests,your ideals
So after doing deliberate practice for a good length of time when do you think one should move on to the next thing? I must've of drawn eyes at least 50+ times by now. So once I've managed to draw it freely without reference should I move on to my next objective?
i mainly rotate between the default "real g-pen", "the wood pencil" brush and the "simi- pen bruh" (both of which i got from the clip studio asset store)
