  • Instant Pot Pasta e Fagioli Soup-your favorite soup from Olive Garden made quickly at home in your pressure cooker. White and red beans, ground beef, tomatoes and pasta in a savory broth.
This recipe makes a lot! If you want to halve the recipe you totally can! It’s kind of a pain to only use half a can of beans though. So what I would suggest is leaving out the Great Northern beans and just using one can of kidney beans.

Thanks for the tip for the pasta! I never thought of that. I just keep adding water to my leftover soup. I'll have to try your way!

That is exactly the way I cook my pasta when I cooked my Fagioli. I like my pasta al dente. This looks fantastic!

I am embarrassed to say that my son got me an Instant Pot nearly a year ago for my birthday & it is still in the box. I hope that watching your channel will make me start using it!!!

Oh do try to use your Instapot. I wanted one and received the Instapot for my birthday last December. I just enjoy cooking with it, it saves so much time and an easy clean up. I use it so often. I use to buy many cans of different beans and now I cook different dry beans in the Instapot. I freeze portions in Russbe freezer bags and have ready to use for other meals. I make brown rice and farro in it also. I have tried several of her recipes. Delicious and so easy!👩‍🍳

The only thing I do different is put a nice piece of parmesan rind into mine. If you like cheese that's definitely the way to go.
Thank you so much for your great videos

@@karenbellessapeterse I appreciate the technique you've provided. I am in the middle of making this today instead of last week and it smells great! I would consider this a pantry meal...I used both sweet italian sausage and leftover ground beef that I had. Plus, I didn't have beef better than bouillon (I'm shocked b/c I have the fish, chili, ham, vegetable, and chicken!), so I ended up using the ham base. B/c I try to avoid a lot of salt, I didn't do the last salt and will wait to see how it tastes after pressure cooking. I plan to freeze these in one cup cubes for lunch during the week. Wish me luck!

This is the second time I'm trying your recipe for instant pot Pasta Fagioli Soup. The first time it turned out great with using the PRESSURE COOK BUTTON on five minutes. This time I did exactly like your video and push the SOUP button and my timer automatically said 5 minutes so I let go, so I started cooking my pasta, went outside to get the Mail came back in and I notice instead of the timer counting up that it was finished and purging it was counting down like it was still cooking, so I watched the timer and sure enough the timer was getting lower and lower until it went to zero like it was still cooking. Then it is started climbing up like it's pressure releasing, but the PRESSURE BUTTON wasn’t up in the sealing position, the button was down. I waited until the timer showed 10 minute’s pressure release, took the lid off and tasted the food, wasn’t good. So I tried it again using the PRESSURE COOK BUTTON on only 3 minutes. I never did notice the pressure button up in the sealing position. Has this ever happened to you?

In your recipe you list ½ cup of apple juice, I didn’t see you use this in the video???

  • @gerryschipper9778

Your printed recipe has a 1/2 cup apple juice which you did not add in the video. Is that an error?
