The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries. Some people regard private enterprise as a predatory tiger to be shot. Others look on it as a cow they can milk. Not enough people see it as a healthy horse, pulling a sturdy wagon.

Saul David Alinsky (January 30, 1909 - June 12, 1972) was an American community activist and political theorist. His work through the Chicago-based Industrial Areas Foundation helping poor communities organize to press demands upon landlords, politicians and business leaders won him national recognition and notoriety. Responding to the impatience of a New Left generation of activists in the 1960s, in his widely cited Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer (1971) Alinsky defended the arts both of confrontation and of compromise involved in community organizing as keys to the struggle for social justice.
Saul Alinsky warned that the "impotence" of the middle classes would turn into "political paranoia." This would make them "ripe for the plucking by some guy on horseback promising a return to the vanished verities {a true principle or belief, especially one of fundamental importance.} of yesterday, that sounds like the Untied States 2016-2020

That’s such a false projection of who/ what he stands for. He was a communist seditionist-Obama and Clinton followed his lead in deconstructing America with a mob -type approach, which they’re continuing by underwriting riots and using the press to manipulate public opinion. Alinsky isn’t a Lion, he’s a dog.

Clinton and Obama studied Alinsky. Trump perfected his tactics.

Riiiiiiiiiiiight LMFAO. Replace "Trump" with "Trudeau" and i'll give you a like.

@@racializedkanadian Trudeau is definitely versed in the ways of Alinsky, but I think Trump is better at using Alinsky’s tactics. Especially the mocking part . “Sleepy Joe” and “Crooked Hillary” are perfect examples of Trump using Alinsky style mockery, while Hillary’s “deplorables” and Trudeau’s “Racist, homophobic, sexist, etc…” kinda alienates the voter base.

You don't have to agree with what is said but if you can't enjoy listening to this and Saul as an intellectual exercise than go find a different hobby

I'm not sure why Alinsky is demonized by the so called political right. He makes a lot of sense.

You aren’t getting it. He knew very well that he was creating destructive organizations and groups. That was the point. Divisions* and segregation are what this man advocated. The difference being that he was not advocating for racial segregation, it was a segregation of class and political leaning. The so-called progressives of today are pawns and tools for the destruction of everything that is good with the western world.

Those who know the end game would be insane not to hate him. Not to say he doesn't make sense or isn't intelligent, but his intentions are psychopathic. Not because he's a democrat. Look up the Frankfort School of Germany and you will understand what this process really is about.

I think what Ricky is trying to say is, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. While Saul Alinsky helped our enemies, there are lots of things he said that we can learn from to gain power back. However, some of what he says is outdated too, so take that with a grain of salt.

@Michael Hoffman did he do that?

@Michael Hoffman I’m not asking if he wrote something. I’m asking if he blew up any buildings or killed anyone like you said he did. But since you’re changing the subject to his book, can you point to any quotes of him instructing anyone to blow up buildings or kill people?
