What a fantastic trip you took us on!! The perfect mix of sight-seeing street shots, foodie things to drool over, tons of friends to remember, and alllll the yarny goodness!! I really enjoy your TH-cam's, Jen! You do a great job with graphics, too! Thanks for taking us along on this trip!
THANK YOU MS. JEN FOR THE 2024 VOGUE KNITTING LIVE EVENT IN NYC & I WAS THERE THIS YEAR & LAST YEAR AS WELL. WONDERFUL RECAP & GREAT MUSIC TOO. THANK YOU FOR SHINING A POSITIVE LIGHT ON NYC!! HAPPY CROCHETING & KNITTING!!! 🍎🎉🍎🎉🍎🎉🍎🎉🍎🎉🍎
Thanks so much Jen … I didn’t get to attend so it was so fun to see it through your eyes! Makes me want to attend next one! What an inspiration you are to so many of us!!!!
I LOVE THAT SWEATER!!!!!!! I love everything about it, the movement and color and structure. Fantastic. I had to pause watching, in order to buy it. It's crazy good!!!! I also really enjoyed the viewing experience you of created VKL. Beautiful. Thanks so much.
Thank you for a great recap of NYC and VKL. So sorry, we did not cross paths, maybe next year we can set up a meet up. I can show you some of my favorite parts of NYC like I M Pei museum and Ferrara’s Italian bakery in the West Village. And who knows, I may move back there when I retire from my full time job☺️
I would love to go to the I M Pei (and I'm always down for food!) I M Pei designed the building at our art museum, so that is extra interesting to me! next time!
Thank you for coming by the mYak booth and showcasing our yarns and sample as well as our new woolly adventure Fibre Gentili and the capsule we made with Treliz . Big shoutout to Shamika for knitting one version of Lise’s beautiful design!
Oh wow - thank you so much for watching! Your booth was absolutely beautiful and I loved seeing Olga and Tre Liz and Shameka's awesome work. So much fun!
This is AMAZING! It's like being on the trip with you! I LOVE big city walking with so much to see and cool destinations! Thanks for reminding me of Picasso's Three Musicians!! Your Pod Hotel seems perfect (until the fire alarm incident) for traveling alone!
Hi Jen and my fellow Geigley-ites, how are we? Greetings from Melbourne, Australia - where it's current 37c/100f - and the fog, damp view of NY looks like utter heaven, but most confess that as at this moment, the concept of an aran weight sweater is unfathomable. Delighted on your tour of Vogue Knitting Live NY 2024, thanks so so much. So am I knitting something whilst watching this? Totally - and as you've prob guessed, it's fingering/4ply. But back to the video, thanks for the footage, your thoughts and the few logistical details, super handy in that bright, shiny day when I and hopefully my crafty mates, all get to NY for VKL.
thank you so much for watching in Melbourne! (where it’s much, much warmer.) 😅 love hearing about what you’re working on - fingering sounds much more suitable for your current temperatures. thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing, the city and the show were so nicely presented. That last shot from the plane was like a beautiful quilt. I got somewhat distracted because I worked in the area around Radio City for years, commuting from NJ. I chose to walk also, from port authority, but there was a bus I could take for a quarter. Wonder what it cost today!
thank you - I thought the same thing! a snow quilt! I love that area and walked around there quite a bit on this trip - yes, I wonder what bus fare is now!!
Thank you Jen for a great coverage, it felt like we were there with you, but without the tiredness 😊. Hope you had a great time and got a chance to rest! Bought your pattern, thanks for the discount. Quick question, what other yarns do you recommend for those of us that can't afford a sweater quantity of the fancy BienAimée yarns? I would like to have some options and get to know your opinion on yarn substitutions as a designer. Are you more of a yarn snob or more relaxed about other options including acrylic yarns and other big box stores yarns? 😊
Haha, so glad! Thank you so much for your support - any DK-ish yarn on US 6 and 7s should work! (The yarn I used is Corrie Worsted, but it actually knits up closer to a DK.) I'm not a yarn snob at all and use everything from Lion Brand to higher end yarns ... it's all good!
Thanks for sharing this, Jen! I definitely learned about new shops, new designers, and new patterns from this post. I also love your sweater, though I have ginormous boobs, so I wouldn't want flaps right in that spot, but I could do some version of it. :) And the color is TO DIE FOR.
So sorry I missed you this year. especially would have loved seeing your sweater. I skipped Saturday and so enjoyed your tour as had no time to check things out much on Friday or Sunday. You mentioned a yarn which was especially soft for babies. Which yarn is that? Hope we can see one another next year!🥰
Thanks so much for watching and sorry I missed you! The baby yarn is from a company called Jord ... I heard one of the VKL yarn stores say they were going to start carrying it, because I'm not sure it's widely available in the US yet. www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/jord-clothing-woolly
If you were starting from scratch to catalog your stash of yarns and patterns, would you do it on Knit Note or Ravelry? (Of course Ravelry already has my patterns in it.) 🤷🏼♀️
Nothing can replace Ravelry and I’ll be there forever - it’s the best. But Knit and Note offer some different patterns and features so I think it’s a good addition to what I already like, use and do!
Very nice video. However, it you wanted us to hear what the lady from Italy had to say about her yarns, you could have turned off your music out of respect for what she had to say....

Thank you so much - I tried to fit it all in! Thanks so much for your kind words.

Thanks for showing us the paintings! wouldn't that be fun to make a sweater that looks like some of those?
yes - fantastic inspiration!
Great recap video! All my fav NYC spots, too! Curious: where did you eat your “semi-fancy” lunch on Friday?!?❤
thanks - yes, I did! I think!

whoops - yes it's, 2024! thanks for pointing that out!
Very nice video. However, it you wanted us to hear what the lady from Italy had to say about her yarns, you could have turned off your music out of respect for what she had to say....
so sorry - I'll check the volume on that!
