Thank you for taking us to the fair. It was fun to see some of the exhibits and I’m so impressed by all the talent shown. I only wished I could have sampled some of the food! Congratulations on the ribbons, both of you!
Love how your new IKEA dress turned out! Your 1999 sweater is going so well!! I have no idea how you manage to choose your colour combinations for the stripes so well. Thank you so much for the great tour of the Iowa State Fair!! You and Erica did so well too! All this while your house is so busy!
Just had birthday number 81 and your video brought back my happy memories of state fair with grandma and grandpa in the 1950s sleeping in old canvas tent! Happiest memories ever! I am working on purl soho INCREDIBLE BLANKET. hours of sublime relaxation. Your video also brought memories of childhood in Russell. Ideal childhood of course, knitting, quilting, Girl Scouts the works. Thanks Jen, you make me a teenager again. ❤️❤️
Jen, thanks for taking us to the fair! Looked like a very fun day and congrats to you and Erica for your ribbons. All the photos of Bowie's play on Instagram were great. What an amazing project. He looked like he was having a wonderful experience 😀
Thank you so much for taking us to the fair and finding time to record every week. I personally like the mint stripe in your sweater and think you should keep going. It's such a happy sweater. You inspired me to dig through my stash and find my Rowan denim that I've had for very, very many years, There are 20 balls in my stash, hooray! I also have a Rowan denim pattern book full of beautiful patterns. I truly can't keep up with the inspiration you leave me with every week! Enjoy the play.
Thanks for taking us to the fair. I couldn't go to the KY state fair. So your video filled the bill. Congrats to you and Erica on your ribbons. I love fair food and am missing it this year, especially funnel cakes.
Wow! Amazing Fair tour! So many creatives!!! And food food food. Hooray for Ribbons!! I don’t think I’d want to be a judge… I can’t decide what yarn/colors/ pattern to make next…let alone First Prize to Best in Show ribbons. Amazing …the countless hours making alllll those gorgeous pieces !! Thanks!
I just want to thank you for all your inspiring and comforting videos. I started binge watching them all and it is such a treat being with you, your best friend Erica and your lovely family. All the best for all of you 😻🐢🐑🧶
Love this video! IKEA DRESS is flattering and fun! Yay for comfort! What a great overview of the IOWA state fair! Never been to one that large but may visit Iowanext year just forthe fair 😃Amazing creativity and skill! Kudos to you and Erica on your ribbons!
Thank you so much for taking us to the Iowa State fair. Congrats to you and Erica on your ribbons. The fair is simply amazing! My distant memory as a child of going to the New York State fair in Syracuse was being in bumper-to-bumper traffic for hours. I don’t remember a whole lot, and I certainly have never been to a fair with all of the fiber arts! I may need to put that on my bucket list.😊
Love your podcasts - your esthetic is so much fun and interesting. The OSF is something I’d like to go to some day (especially liked your H&W ticket ref!) BUT THE BEST was Olaf at the end - you all must be so proud🥰
I love your fair video! It’s like you followed me and my friend. The places you went are on our can’t miss list! The lemon drop donuts were delicious. I was also a fan of the AE Party Balls. So many fun things to do and yummy things to eat. Can’t wait until next year!
Hi Jen, love your videos and I think you offer such great content! I hope your channel continues to grow to match your enthusiasm and creativity - which is limitless! I never thought about going to the Iowa State Fair - but it looks like so much fun. I also love the Frozen ending - not a dry eye here!
I had no idea how huge the State Fair is! This is serious business 😱 congratulations on your 🎀 Readers Digest published a great sewing book: The Complete Guide to Sewing which I find very useful. Maybe you can find a copy at your local library to see if you would like it. Have a great week!
Next week starts the MN State Fair and I am excited, though our crafts barn is not nearly as open and lovely as yours. I haven't entered anything into the fair since high school, though it has been on a vague list of mine for years and years too... maybe next year. We often like to go on opening day, as it's a work day so the crowd is smaller, but we do check the weather app and will go on the coolest day we see coming up. One year that day happened to also be a day it poured! And while we were fine with wet clothes, our rain soaked tevas got very uncomfortable on our feet, so we had to leave quite early that year. I'm so excited to buy several t-shirts from the DFL booth this year! Go Walz (and Harris).
Love your Iowa State Fair footage and congratulations on your ribbon success! I have some of the Rowan denim in my stash too, but the lighter blue, I think it is Memphis? I have just been waiting for a pattern to inspire me with it! Maybe this Fall is it’s time for me too!
Great fair roundup. I’m going to the MN State Fair as well. I love to go to the Creative Arts building. Congratulations on your ribbons. I’m inspired to enter items next year. It looks like Rowan had two iterations of denim yarn? The original was a DK and the second was a worsted. I found some cream in the worsted and bought it while watching your video. 😂
So looking forward to this pattern. Do you know about how many grams of yarn will be needed to make stripes like this? (I know it will vary based on garment size.) I used to have that original sweater and would loooveeeee to recreate it. There’s no way I could justify the cost of 50g hanks for 16-17 colors. Maybe someone in the comments wants to split the yarn cost with me and we could divide the hanks!?!? Or…. Jen, do you think MDK would sell the Atlas in a smaller put-up? I know I could use stash. I think that would be harder to achieve a cohesive color palette with stash.
Thank you for taking us to the fair. It was fun to see some of the exhibits and I’m so impressed by all the talent shown. I only wished I could have sampled some of the food! Congratulations on the ribbons, both of you!
I really enjoyed this one! All the masterpiece and to spend the day with your best friend?! You ladies are lucky. ❤❤❤
Thank you Jen great show! The fair was sooo fun to see😃👏🏼🧶🧶🧶
